The Comparison Between Marilyn Monroe and Anna Nicole Smith

Anna Nicole Smith and Marilyn Monroe both had a rough upbringing, neither one of them having a solid father figure in their lives. Anna moved in with extended family, Marilyn was a foster child drifting from home to home. Both women dropped out of high school and married at a young age. Anna at 17, Marilyn at 16. Both marriages failed rather quickly. They then started their career as models for magazines and became the sex symbols of their time, both posing for Playboy.

Anna Nicole Smith paid tribute to Monroe on one of her covers while modeling for Playboy. They are self-made blonde bombshells who'd created new identities to become Hollywood stars. Anna Nicole Smith born with the name of Vickie Lynn Hogan, probably choose to leave this earth the same way her idol did. She was obsessed with that fact of her being just like Marilyn. Anna felt she was very similar to Marilyn and she felt as if they were alike. Apparently after studying Marilyn Monroe death she seemed to have plan out her death the same way. Anna Nicole Smith died from a prescription drug overdose on February 8, 2007. Just like Marilyn Monroe, she'd even taken chloral hydrate. Unlike her idol's, though, Smith's death was ruled an accidental overdose, but who believes it was accidental. Once she had even discussed being buried next to Monroe whenever she died. The lives and deaths of Anna Nicole Smith and Marilyn Monroe I think if you’ll look a little deeper you’ll see some startling similarities perhaps even a conspiracy.

Although they had a very similar life the similarity in their death is what gets the most attention. Both women were dependent on their own vices. Anna with Vicodin and Marilyn with barbiturates and alcohol. These women used these drugs to escape from the reality of their daily lives. Marilyn was prescribed barbiturates because for her night terrors brought on by the sexual abuse she encountered in the many foster facilities. Anna had chronic pain and was prescribed painkillers. These women became addicted to the one thing that was meant to help them get though the day.

In their thirties, both women will fall at the hands of their own destruction. Some believe that were both suicides, at least that is what it looked like at the beginning. In both cases more investigating was done and many conspiracies brewed up. Monroe was said to have been killed by accident, JFK and many other suspects because of her affair with JFK and her rumored knowledge of the Mafia. Anna’s death was a suicide but it is questionable if the doctor “taking care of her” was doing their job or not. Anna was on several different medications and would sometimes forget that she took them, taking more than the dose expected. It was argued that all of her care-takers knew that Anna had somewhat of an addiction and two of them were charged with crimes associated with her death. But those charges were later dropped. Her lawyer was also charged with supplying Anna with the medications.
