“Umm no, ain’t nobody got time for that,” I told her and got up.
“Why not, they are doing a free placement test at North Hennepin and you don’t have to register for school but you can find out what classes you need to take if you ever did want to go to school,” she told me before I walked out the kitchen. She said that to me and that idea didn’t actually sound too bad at all. I knew I needed to change my life around eventually and maybe school was the best place to start. I turned around and walked back into the kitchen.
“What days are they doing the test again? I guess I could go and take the test and see where they will place me at,” I told her. She looked at me and she got bugged eye.
“Monday, I’ll take you!” she yelled aloud. I sat back and down in the chairs and she looked at me and smiled.
“You’re going to love it sissy, I see so much potential in you. If you want to get Killa back, this is the first step. You got to let go of those streets and leave them thot tendencies alone,” she looked at me. I rolled my eyes and laughed. I loved my flaws but I guess I did need to grow sometime. I didn’t want to be ducking and dodging bullets forever.
I sat with Tiffany and my brother Jay, well into the middle of the night. My brother got drunk and made her go lay down with him. I could tell she was getting annoyed with him. I would be too. That nigga was fareal crazy and annoying as fuck.
I curled up on their couch and thought about Killa again. A few days ago, I was sitting here playing with myself and fantasizing about him. It was at that moment that I made up my mind I was going to pay him a visit first thing in the morning and finally tell him how I really felt about him.
I was walking through the halls at North Memorial almost to Killa, when I felt the butterflies in my stomach. I was getting ready to knock on the door when it was opened and Loco walked out. He gave me a hug and told me have a nice day. I walked into the room and spotted Killa trying to lean and still wincing in pain.
“What do you need?” I asked him while scaring him. I looked at him and laughed. “Boy I know Mister Killa ain’t scared,” I told him again. I walked over to him and sat in the chair. He still hasn’t responded to me yet, but that was okay.
“I just came up here to apologize about my actions yesterday Killa. We both shouldn’t be trusting each other but we do. I still love you and still have feelings for you,” I blurted out and told him.
“That’s crazy because when I died, I saw you shawty and some kids. They were beautiful kids too,” he finally replied back to me and said. I was shocked at his words. I didn’t even know what to say. Does that mean Killa and I have a future? Should we try to work something out? I climbed into Killa’s bed with him and just laid there on his shoulder.
“Maybe… let’s try again and see what we can do about it, but I swear to God Dayja, if you fuck me over, I will kill your ass and kill your brother for real, and I’m not playing,” he told me then kissed me on my forehead. I was happy. I was going to keep this man and do right by him this time. I told Killa my plans of me going to register for school. He told me he was proud of me and he wanted to move out of his house in Hudson and relocate to a different state. We both sat there not saying a word. I smiled at Killa and remembered the first time I met him.
“Take it to the head,” Dayja sang along to the song. She looked to her left and spotted him, the bald dude. She walked up to him and spoke. “What’s up, I have never seen you around here before.” She was super close to the point where he could smell her Gucci perfume. “Nah, I’m not from around here shorty. What’s up, you smelling good. What you in here for, you like looking at ass and titties too?,” he spoke in a southern tone.
“No baby, just hanging out with my girls.” She looked around spotted Brook and Lovely throwing money on stage. She chuckled and turned her attention back to him.
“What’s your name Mr.?” she asked.
“Killa baby,” he spoke with his chest up.
“Oh, Killa, everybody wants to be a killa. You ain’t killing shit boy, gone,” she laughed at him. If you lived in Minnesota, everybody’s nickname was going to be killa or a killer but there was only one
“Killa” she knew about and that was “Killa Reg” who was killed last October, her nigga. “Shorty, you don’t know me from a can of paint, don’t judge a book by its cover.” He threw his shot back and walked away from her just like that. Dayja was insulted. She had never let anyone get to her but that one right there, he fucked her up. She chuckled to herself and thought yup, she’s going to rob him, he was her next big lick. He was playing hard to get because he thinks she wants him but she doesn’t.
Killa
I didn’t know what the hell I was thinking when I agreed that me and Dayja could be more than what we were. How was I going to pull this off? She must have felt me moving around because she hopped out the hospital bed and ran to the bathroom. I was happy she did that because I needed five minutes to myself. I knew I liked Dayja and I at least wanted to give her another chance. I always believed everything happens for a reason and here she was begging to come back for another chance. “Second Chance” by Yo Gotti was my favorite song. I chucked to myself and reached over to grab Dayja’s phone. I knew she didn’t have a lock on it, she never did. She didn’t care if anyone stole her phone. She wasn’t worried about too much of anything. Dayja always knew she was gone be rich. Well shit, she was really going to be rich fucking with me. I was going to show her the right way and how to do it. She opened up the bathroom door and closed it. She looked at me and smiled. She had that ‘happiest women in the world’ look. She noticed me holding her phone.
“Why you going through my phone?” she asked me.
“I don’t care about your phone little girl. I was trying to go to YouTube and hear a song,” I told her as I played with her phone. I got YouTube up and typed in second chance by Yo Gotti. Once she heard the girl start talking, she smirked and laughed.
Second chance, second chance
Yeah I love that ass to death but ain't no second chance
If i fucked off with your friend
Would i get a second chance?
Guess I fuck too many hoes I need a second chance
Second chance, second chance
She may love your ass to death but ain’t no second chance
See bitches think they slick but then they act like niggas
Go fuck off and then come back and act all sentimental
Pack your bags get out my house you knoiw the bizz,
And you better not have no nigga round my fucking kids
See loyalty's a must and trust is all we have
And i'm a street nigga so you know the math
Don't put me in no shit cuz you know what i will do
And if a nigga know my business i may have to kill you
Street code, freak home, fuck a bitch, anything goes
I think i fuck too many hoes, its karma maybe
Finally got the one i like and she gon drive me crazy
Once I heard that ending part, “Finally got the one I like and she gon’ drive me crazy,” I blew her an air kiss. Damn, maybe I did miss Dayja. She walked up, hugged me and kissed me on the lips. She told me she would be back tomorrow. I watched her phat ass walk out the door and already missed her. Damn I must be lonely.
I tried to take a nap, but Slim and Loco’s loud asses coming through the door interrupted me.
“What’s up nigga, you ready to go home?” Slim asked me. I nodded my head at them. They both had their happy faces on and I could tell something must have popped off. “Why y’all so fucking happy and shit?”
“Because we took care of that nigga for you… well for us. We got all three of them who were responsible for putting you here,” Slim said to me. I looked at Loco. I was surprised they solved that crime scene real quick.
“How did y’all do it?” I asked them.
“We didn’t do shit but listen to the street. It was the niggas’ first body so they all were
telling the whole city that they got your ass and the niggas was going to celebrate and we got they ass, popped they ass, and now they floating with the fishes,” Loco said. I couldn’t do shit but smile and crack up. Man, today was a good day.
Brook
I had just gotten off the phone with Loco when he announced to me that Killa and Dayja was becoming a couple and that he wanted me to become cool with her again. Ever since I told Loco how I wanted to kill a friend I had just been opening up to him. Loco probably knew my whole life story. Come to find out Loco was Killa right hand men, when I found out I was shocked but I couldn’t take the things I told him back and going forward we just agreed to be friends afterwards. I honestly didn’t know what the point was of him telling me that they were back together, but I guess he somehow wanted to warn me.I was lying in the bed with Bee while texting Loco. Bee was just snoring next to me and I wanted to smack the taste out of his mouth. I hated to hear a grown man snore, that shit was annoying as fuck. My stomach was starting to get bigger and I was starting to show. I was walking around my house pacing back and forth trying to figure out my next move. I was either going to sit here and keep playing Bee’s ass and be taken care of, or start back hitting licks, but I couldn’t do too much while I was pregnant. Damn it. I still had some money left over from when Brook and I robbed Josh but damn, that shit was coming down and I couldn’t keep asking Bee for money. He was beginning to ask me questions about parenting and when was I going to get a job and crap. Nonsense if you asked me. I sat at my kitchen table and thought back to when Dayja and I robbed Josh’s fat ass.
We made it back to the room and I noticed Josh had repositioned his self a different way. I looked at Dayja and she said, “Let’s go and hurry up.” I grabbed the other bag and it felt lighter than usual. I looked at Josh and his eyes flickered open. “Yea bitch, you thought I was going to let you take them bags that I worked hard for,” he said and sat up. I felt Dayja push me through the door so she could understand what was going on. “You dirty bitch, why you would want to rob me?” he asked me. Josh swung his legs over the bed and started walking up to me. Even though Dayja was behind me, she was crouched down and he really couldn’t tell she was there. My heart was racing; I was scared. “Where is Diamond’s dumb ass at? Is she over there robbing my cousin too, or just your dirty ass?” he stumbled towards me. Josh reached in his pocket and pulled out a knife. “Oh you lil dirty bitch, all of y’all some hoes,” he said once he noticed Dayja. She stood up and smirked at him. Dayja walked in front of me on the side so she could hand me the gun. I took it slowly making sure I didn’t make too much of movement.
“Yall some dirty lil sluts, which one of you sexy ladies wants to die first?” he asked us. “Neither,” Dayja said. “Fuck y’all, ain’t either of you hoes living to tell this story.” He raised the knife up. Click! I shot him. I shot him before I even knew it. He fell back and grabbed his stomach. “Shoot him again,” Dayja told me. BOOM! I shot him once more. Thank God this gun we had, had a silencer on it which makes this situation a lil’ better. “Oh my god bitch,” I said to her. “Bitch, we need to go kill Lex and dip out,” she said to me. She took the gun out my hand, which made me feel a lil bit better knowing she was going to do it instead if me. She grabbed the last duffle and we walked to the room, which was two doors down. She walked in and we noticed his ass was still sleeping. “Bitch he’s sleeping,” I said to her. I really just didn’t want her to kill him. “Bitch, so what, he going to know we did it.” She walked over to him. Click, click! Blood splattered everywhere. “We need to clean up,” I said to her. We changed our shoes and clothes to Lex’s clothes. We walked out the room wearing his clothes and his shoes.
“Oh my god, that was crazy,” Dayja said as we got in the car. “Yes the fuck it was,” I said back to her. We climbed in the car and sat there for ten minutes. “Do you want to talk about it?” she asked me. “No, I’m fine,” I said to her. ”Okay, so we done, nip it in the bud,” she said to me, which meant for me to get out my feelings, what’s done is done. I shook my head and we pulled off. We dapped hands and started screaming and laughing it out. “Bitch your ass was scared,” she said as she laughed at me. “No, I wasn’t scared, I just didn’t want to kill him.”
“Bitch fuck that nigga, we got to get this money by any means. He had the shit waiting for us to get it, he wasn’t done. A real nigga would have put that shit up and never even let us know what was going on,” she said to me. “Damn bitch, I’mma miss that nigga leg, but oh well,” she shrugged her shoulders and said. “Too bad he ain’t missing you while floating somewhere around here.” I laughed at what I said to Dayja.
I was sitting there crying laughing, reminiscing on our memories. Damn, I had to admit we did have so much fun back in the day and it was enjoyable to sit back and reminisce. We three women always had ball when we were together. I walked over to my liquor cabinet and pulled out some Crown Royal. I poured a shot and took a shot for Lovely. “Rest in peace beautiful,” I mumbled to myself.
“Did you just take a shot of that?” I heard Bee yell from behind me. I was scared to turn around and look at him. I knew all hell was about to break loose.
“Let me go before I end up smacking the shit out of you. You’re too far in your pregnancy to be taking shots and doing stupid shit like this. You’re about to be a mother,” he screamed at me. He turned around, walked back up the stairs, and thirty seconds later after me standing there, he came back down the stairs with his shirt and walked out of the house.
“Whoa, damn,” I said to myself. I spun around to head to the kitchen, when I was met with nothing but blackness.
Dayja
Before I turned my life around, I needed to go handle Brook’s ass. She was going to forever irk my nerves if I knew she was going to be walking around and living her life after she snitched on me and even fought me, while catching me off guard. Nope, I needed to go ahead and nip her ass in the bud if I wanted to turn my life around. Yes, I was being petty, but this bitch caused too much trouble in my life and I couldn’t deal with her. I was so happy Bee stormed out the house when I got there because I honestly didn’t want to kill him too, even though to this day I still believed he and Demetri were the ones to set us up. But oh well, Demetri was nowhere to found after what happen when we got kidnapped. Please don’t let me get started with Bee, He was so far stuck up Brook’s ass. He was dumb as hell, she was only willing to keep the baby to leech off him. I was sitting on her couch waiting for her ass to wake up. Damn, I knocked this bitch out cold. Killa was mad when I told him my plan to kill her, but even he couldn’t stop me. I couldn’t risk the chance of this bitch ruining my life and I was pretty sure she was planning to do it.
I went into her kitchen to get a pot of cold water. Yup, I was going to wake this bitch up nigga style. I filled the pot up with the cold water and lit up my black. I was going to burn this bitch. She was going to feel my wrath. I walked over to where she was and threw the cold water plus the pot. As soon as I did it, I started cracking up. I remembered the guy in Get Rich or Die Trying doing the same thing. She immediately hoped up. “Bitch I’m pregnant what the fuck is you doing?” she yelled at me while walking with a limp. She was walking off like I was done with her and I was just throwing water on her to fuck with her. I ran up behind her and snatched her up. “I’m pregnant Dayja, really? This baby could be your niece or nephew,” she looked at me and yelled. She finally peeped my outfit. I was dressed down in a pair of black Timbs with a black sweater and black leggings. “If you going to kill me do it now damn it, don’t make me fucking suffer,” she said the exact words I needed to hear. I pulled my gun from my pocket and shot her ass twice in the head. Blood splattered all over me.
“Bout time you finally shot that bitch, I was beginning to think you were going to let her get away,” Loco told me as he came up from behind me.
“I was waiting for her to slip up and say something about our friend Lovely. She was killed and I always thought Brook had s
omething to do with it,” I told him. Loco looked at me shrugged his shoulders.
“Damn Dayja, you’re cold blooded. I can’t believe you just smoked your friend like that,” he said to me. I looked at him and told how Brook was a snake. She was always the one person down to get her hands dirty but told once we got caught. And the fact that she was trying to kill me the night she jumped on me was not something that I could let go of. Let me not forget the fact that she snuck in my brother’s house and gave Tiffany some head. That was the lowest and the nastiest blow of all time. Loco nodded his head up and down once he was aware of our situation, and understood.
“She was probably going to rob your ass next and milk you for some money nigga,” I told him as we walked to the side door of her house. We had two gasoline cans filled to the brim with gas. We were going to set her house on fire. Loco went upstairs with one can and I started with the basement and up. Brook’s body was in the hallway in the kitchen so she was going to burn to a crisp first and hopefully fast. So what that bitch had a baby, she needed to understand I was not to be fucked with. I met Loco at the first door of Brook house and he lit the match and threw it on her body. We both turned around and headed back out the side door. I was no longer going to do anymore killing and anything that was going to bring me down. I wanted to show Killa I could be the woman he needed me to be. Yes, everybody loved having a ride or die chick but I didn’t want to be on the turf when my husband was outside. I really didn’t even want my man to be doing that stuff anymore. I wanted to be normal. I got in the car with Loco and told him to drop me off at the hospital with Killa. I laid back in the seat and closed my eyes. I was no longer about this thug life. I was no longer able to keep killing and robbing people. I was no longer the girl I used to be.
