taking it out on your sister.”

The woman circled the chair, grabbing the nurse by an arm, wrenching it behind her back, “I can cause a considerable amount of pain if I just twist her arm a little.” Miranda cried out in pain, “Now tell me what you know.”

“They’re just a couple of bikers we’ve passed on the road,” replied the man. “Joh Kincaid and Boofhead…they are the only ones I know that have bikes.”

  “What about this guy?”

The guards retreated from the room coming back a couple of seconds later, dragging a bloody corpse behind them, and dropping it on the ground.

Marlin looked at the deathly face of the scientist. He looked peaceful. Max had been a source of agitation but he never wanted the man to die.

“We manage to get one of them,” sneered the woman, kicking the side of the corpse. “Idiot!”

Suddenly, the lights began to fail. There came a loud bang, sending the place into darkness.

An alarm sounded, alerting the guards. Screams of panic could be heard in the distance. The place went into chaos.

One voice shouted above the noise, “Get me a fucking torch!”

In the darkness, Miranda managed to release Marlin’s leather straps, helping her brother out of the chair.

She used her memory of this room to move through the darkness.

They halted just outside the door, “We’ve got to find my friend.”

  “That would be Santanna?”

“Oh...you’ve met…you do get use to her.”

“She’s a sweetie! Follow me,” spoke his sister, leading him away.

There was no time for a family reunion; they just had to get out of that corridor.

Lila and Boofhead found Pace’s spacious home, slipping around the side to the rear of his property.

When Harrison Pace opened his bck door, the man’s heart almost leapt from his chest. He scanned the yard to make sure they weren’t seen, before bustling his guests inside.

“Why do you look so worried? You use to like me coming around,” spoke the woman.

“I know it was you,” spat the man, getting in her face.

Boofhead stepped between them, using his intimidating size to protect his new friend.

Lila sneered, ignoring his rant, “So where’s the wife?”

“Margaret is at a prayer meeting.”

  “Good. We can talk.”

Lila wandered into the kitchen followed by the hulk.

Pace noticed her wound, showing some compassion, “You’re bleeding.”

“Yes, and my friend is dead, so don’t push me.”

  “What do you want?”

“I want a safe place to lay low.”

  “You can’t stay here.”

“Why not? They won’t find us here. We will be right under their noses.”

  “But my wife?”

“Oh, I’m sure you will think of something because if you don’t, I’ll tell her how you like taking it up the ass with my ten inch dildo,” spoke the woman. “She’d never see you in the same light again.”

The man slumped in a chair, resigned to his fate. He was stuck. His world was crumbling around him.

The siblings raced down a corridor making for the infirmary. They stopped at a junction, peering around the corner. A guard was stationed outside. They needed some way to distract him.

Miranda unzipped her blouse revealing her pert breasts concealed behind a lace bra.

She told her brother to leave it to her.

She wondered into the corridor, giving a cute wave at the guard. He aimed his gun at her, “This section is off limits.”

She was taken aback by this, Miranda usually wowed the guards.

Marlin detected a certain sensibility and decided to try a different tact. He removed his shirt, took off his pants, standing in pair of jocks.

He took a deep breath, marching into the corridor.

He, instantly, drew the man away from the door. The guard smiled, admiring the man’s body. He looked good.

While the guy was distracted, Miranda picked up a nearby chair and smashed it against him. The guard was sent flying into the wall. He fell to the ground unconscious.

Miranda turned to her brother, and laughed, “I can see you haven’t changed.”

The man smirked, grabbing her hand racing into the room.

When they entered, Santanna looked on, appalled, “Not again! Do you ever wear fuckin clothes?”

The siblings helped the woman out of bed.

Miranda went to find a couple of spare nurse’s uniforms.

Cross was on approached to Dubbo when an Enforcer vehicle pulled her over. It was just a simple inspection but in case of any trouble, she removed a pepper shaker from the backpack on the seat next to her.

Even though it looked harmless, pepper could be a weapon.

The Enforcer came up beside her, flashing his torch in the window at her, “Ma’am, Dubbo is out of bounds. They have a situation.”

  “But my mother lives there.”

“She will still be there when it is over.”

  “Where will I go?”

“I’d suggest, you go back the way that you came. No one is getting into this town tonight.”

Suddenly, a commotion came from the Enforcer vehicle behind them. Cross tried to see what it was but the light from the truck was dazzling her eyes.

The Enforcer retreated from her window, going to check on his partner. She watched him, step up into the cabin. Seconds after, his screams could be heard, just before a fountain of his blood splattered the window.

Cross’s hands began to shake as she started the Ute.

She checked in her rear view mirror, noticing a figure hobbling toward her. As the person advanced, a form began to take shape. It was an old woman.

She was waving a pen knife in front her, coated with blood. The woman looked like some ghostly apparition.

Cross put the Ute into gear and sped away from the chilling site.

Joh was cooking a rabbit over a fire using a make-shift spit; the smell was delicious.

Sam came from the barn having had a nap. He was feeling much better. Sam crouched down on the ground beside him.

Joh looked over at him, “It’s the best I could do.”

  “At least we won’t starve.”

“Fuck no! The place is overrun with vermin, that is what happens when people stop eating food,” spoke Joh. “I found some mushrooms too.”

He showed Sam the rather oddly looking, unappealing mushrooms, “Are you sure they’re safe?”

  “Nothing is safe these days.”

Joh picked up a small pan, which he had retrieved from his bike, placing the mushrooms inside.

Sam felt his stomach groan at the pleasurable smell; that seemed to remove all apprehension.

Santanna, Miranda and Marlin peered around another corner, dressed in nurse’s uniforms, checking that the corridor was clear.

A group of guards marched along the other end of corridor. They pulled back out of sight, until they had passed by.

Marlin ventured forward, “This place is crawling with guards. We need to find another way out.”

The two girls laughed, staring at the man wearing a crisp white dress and matching flat heeled shoes.

Marlin scowled at them, “Okay…you’ve had your fun at my expense. Now come on.”

The man went to walk-off, when Santanna called him back. She had spotted their escape route, “Look! It’s a ventilation shaft…they always use one in Doctor Who.”

“That doesn’t fill me with confidence,” spoke Marlin.

“It’s all we have. Come on you fuckers! It is worth a risk.”

All three gripped the edge of the ventilation shaft,

pulling at the mesh cover until it came free. They climbed inside.

Marlin replaced the cover behind him. It seemed the logical thing to do.

Commander Roth stood in the now illuminated interrogation room, her back to the
door as she strategized.

She heard alarms, acrid stench of fire and the screams of prisoners trying to escape.

Roth smiled; as she heard the guards begin to beat the prisoners into submission.

A guard burst into the room, “Ma’am, we’ve had no luck in finding the escapees.”

The woman turned around, “There is no need to pursue them. I have one last card up my sleeve.”

Roth had another issue to deal with; Harrison Pace had let his fornication get the better of him. She had to make an example of him, and enjoy a little rough justice in the process. She won either way.

Harrison sat at the table, dressing Lila’s wound after removed the bullet, “You used me! Why would you do that?”

“I loved him more,” spoke the woman, sadly, feeling tears begin to fall down her face at the image of Max in her mind. “He had my heart from the first moment I met him.”

“You do know they will never let up,” explained the camp administrator. “They’ll hunt you down.”

He looked down the other end of the table at Boofhead who was gorging on home-made bread. He found it hard to picture an elegant lady like Lila consorting with a barbarian like him.

The woman turned around in her chair to face

him, placing a hand upon the side of his face, “I’m sorry I hurt you. You’re a nice man, when not desperate for a blow job. I just can’t stand by and do nothing. I have a chance to feel pride in myself again.”

Harrison pulled away from her, rising from the chair, a grim look on his face, “You probably don’t deserve this information…but after our long association…”

“Ahh, lov, we were having sex, not part of the local PTA.”

“It wasn’t just fucking for me!”

Lila rose to her feet, “Ok…I’m sorry. I didn’t realize. You didn’t exactly show it in the bedroom.” He looked at her confused, “Brutalizing a woman doesn’t say love.”

In his mind, he thought differently, he even contemplated leaving his wife for her. He realized that all this time, Lila had despised him, it broke his heart.

“I thought you might like to know about your daughter.”

Lila gripped his arms, eager to learn of her fate, “What do you know? Is she safe?”

“She has been with the Enforcers for some time.”

Lila’s heart dropped, her daughter had been taken over by the dark side. The woman felt it was her fault. She caused her daughter to lose sight by not being there to show her the way.

Harrison noticed the look on her face, softening his assault, “Don’t fret…it seems she is like her mother. The girl just manage to single handedly blow up an Enforcer base. She is now on the run. It’s a pity they don’t know your connection. I’m sure you could tell them where to find her.”

Lila detected his veiled threat, smiling in spite of it. She was so proud of her daughter. If he helped in any way to apprehend, Bec, the woman would demonstrate how powerful the mother instinct could be.

The two men lay back on the lush grass having consumed baked rabbit and mushrooms. They felt full. They were riding on a wave of gluttony. It felt good.

They laughed and joked with one another getting closer as they went.

Sam turned on his side, looking over at Joh. He was a hot guy. He began running his fingers through the biker’s long hair. He was so exotic.

Joh’s laughter grew dim, as he was lulled into a sweet surrender of his body. He wasn’t repulsed by it. He didn’t feel anything but blissful. The man’s fingers were relaxing. He, strangely, felt turned on.

The biker couldn’t move from the ground, it was as if he had been suctioned to the earth. He didn’t feel any fear.

Sam giggled, as he placed a hand upon the man’s chest, caressing his pecs.

Joh closed his eyes feeling the man’s finger tips play with the hair at his nipples. He suddenly got rock hard, shocking him at first, until the wave of bliss dissolved all concerns.

He felt the ex-Enforcer’s hand travel down to his abdominals, tracing every contour with his fingers before descending further down.

Joh felt his pants loosen as the button was opened followed by the sound of his zipper. Then, the gentle breeze began brushing his cock, teasing his appendage.

There wasn’t any harm in a couple of fellas having a wank, was there? He knew this should be freaking him out more but he had lost the will power to fight it. He let it happen.

Sam seemed to have forgotten about Marlin, his hormones seemed to reign supreme. He would regret it when the effects of the mushrooms had faded.

The ventilation shaft was hot and stuffy coated with cobwebs, forcing the escapees to slide along on their stomachs. Their uniforms were no longer crisp or white for that matter.

Santanna was leading the charge ahead, grunting and groaning in pain from her injuries. She stopped at a cross Junction, feeling cool air against her face. It was fresh air, coming from outside.

The woman was about to tell the others when she spotted something moving about ahead of them.

Suddenly, the shape of a rat appeared in a pool of light, “Hey…I think we have some company.”

Miranda looked beyond her, becoming agitated, “It’s looking for you! They can smell your wounds. We have to move before they over run us.”

The rat got a little too close; Santanna swatted it away before scrambling down the left hand side junction point. The others followed hastily behind her into the passage way.

There was movement behind them, as the rats gave chase like a wave of pestilence.

Marlin kicked out at the advance guard urging the others on ward. He kept deflecting them as each one came at him.

They hurried along finally coming to a mesh cover leading to the outside. Dusk was falling, it looked so beautiful.

Marlin yelled out from behind prompting the two women into action.

While Marlin kept the rats at bay, the two women put their might into pushing out the cover.

They threw their weight upon it, time and again until the cover popped out. The two women fell forward onto the ground, quickly leaping to their feet grabbing their companion by each arm, dragging him out.

All three jumped back from the vent as rats poured out, scurrying off to find shelter realizing they were out in the open. They were now in danger.

The escapees spent a few minutes catching their breath, their anxiety levels dropping. They searched for a means to escape the grounds.

They spotted a troop carrier, running toward it. They hopped into the cabin. Santanna turned on the vehicle and drove toward the entrance gate.

The guards on the gate aimed their weapons, ordering them to stop but the troop carrier kept coming. They opened fired.

Santanna put her foot down, speeding toward the guards, bullet holes appearing in the wind shield before the vehicle barged through the entrance gate.

The guards were tossed aside, leaving them dazed by the side of the track.

Cross pulled the Ute over to the side of the road in a back street of Dubbo. She was still spooked by that old woman. She was like some nightmare.

Cross was going to trek the rest of this town on foot, a car was too visible. Her mother’s house wasn’t that far away.

She returned the pepper shaker to her backpack, collected it from the seat, flinging it over one shoulder.

The woman was prepared for anything, except a ghostly old woman.

There was a splintering of wood, as the front door to Harrison Pace’s home was forced inward, followed by a troop of Enforcers invading the house. They searched every room for potential targets.

Harrison Pace was dragged into his lounge room, shock by the sudden attack to his domesticity.

From another part of the house, Lila was brought into the room.

The troopers aimed their weapons at point blank range, their fingers inches away from the trigger that would end their life.

Commander Roth marched into the space once it

  was secu
re, a smile etched on her stone cold features, “Oh my, you’ve certainly gotten yourself into a rather embarrassing situation. I wonder what your wife would say, harboring your whore.”

The last of the troops reported back to their leader, “That’s it, ma’am, there isn’t anyone else here.”

Commander Roth pulled a communications radio from her pocket, pressing a switch upon it that emitted a faint vibration.

Boofhead had gone missing, skulking in the growing dark wishing someone where there to tell him what to do. He had to save his friend. He smacked the side of his head, hoping that would jolt an idea from his dim brain.

As the darkness set in, Joh rose to his feet, zipping up his pants. He felt repulsed now that the effects of the mushrooms had passed. He couldn’t even look at the man.

Sam pulled his legs up to his chest, encircling them with his arms, comfortingly. He wasn’t interested in Joh Kincaid. He felt like a slut.

This was not good; it was distracting them from the real issue. They should have been focusing on a plan to get the others out of the town.

Now, they were too self-conscious to speak to each other.

The troop carrier came to a halt at the edge of town, finding sanctuary down a side street pulling up under the shadow of a large tree.

They emerged from the cabin, needing some air, wondering over to the side of the road.

Miranda felt the communication’s radio, in her pocket, begin to vibrate. That was the signal. She felt for the shape of her gun by her inner thigh. She knew what was to be done. The woman had her orders.

She turned away from them, retrieving the weapon, gathering her courage before facing them.

Marlin noticed the gun first, confused by her actions.

  “What are you doing?”
