Justice for Daesha

Sure enough, when she made her way back to the bar, Rocky was just a few steps behind her. As soon as she walked up to Amos, the keyboardist turned and headed to the other side of room. “So you liked it?” she asked as she picked up her soda.

“Liked it? I loved it. You’re amazing, babe. And I have to admit,” he whispered as he leaned into her ear, “I’m turned on as fuck from watching you up there. Jesus, you’re the sexiest damn thing I’ve ever seen.”

“Stop! You’re being silly again!” she said and giggled.

“No, I’m not. Every guy here wants to take you to bed, and I’m the lucky sumbitch who actually gets to do that. That hasn’t escaped me, my warrior princess.” A thrill ran up his spine when she set down her glass, wrapped her arms around his neck, and gave him an open-mouthed kiss right there in front of the entire crowd. Sure, maybe nobody was looking, but it made Amos feel ten feet tall.

The rest of the evening was equally as entertaining. For shits and giggles, they did “Material Girl” and followed up with a Van Halen tune, one from Journey, and Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” That got some couples up on the dance floor, and Amos wished she could sing and dance with him at the same time.

By the time the evening was over, Amos was exhausted just from watching them, and he knew Daesha had to be falling-down tired. As the guitarists started packing up their instruments, he stepped up to the stage and smiled up at her. She grinned back. “Did you have fun?”

“I did! This was really fun, although I think all of you must be about to drop.”

She nodded as she rolled up the mic cord. “We are. It’s hard work. What time is it?”

  “About one thirty.”

“Gah, I need some sleep!” She kept rolling the mic cord and Amos looked around. The first thing that caught his eye was the drum kit. It was beautiful. Instead of the crazy marbled bowling ball finish on so many of them, it had a beautiful wooden finish. The logo on the bass drum was something he’d never seen before, and he wondered what brand it was. He was roused out of his thoughts by Daesha’s voice. “Hey, Gary, need me anymore right now?”

“Nah. Go on home. We’ve got this. I know you were up early for work, so go get some sleep. See you tomorrow night.”

  “I’ll be here. Night, fellas.”

By the time they got to the car, she was shivering, and it concerned Amos a little. “What’s wrong?”

“I’ve sweated until I’m soaked and now I’m chilled. That happens every time.”

“Here. I’ve got a blanket in the back.” Amos opened the tailgate, grabbed it, and tucked it around her when he was back inside the Jeep. “Better?”

She nodded. “Much. God, it’s good to have somebody to drive me home. I just want to get a shower and get in bed.”

“We’ll be home as fast as I can safely get us there.” Amos reached out and took her hand as he drove, and in a few minutes, he realized she was sound asleep.

Without an opener, he had to get out to open the garage door, but it only took a second and he pulled the Jeep in and parked. “Where are we?” a sleepy Daesha mumbled.

“We’re home. Come on. I’ll help you get in the shower and then you need some sleep.”

  “Okay.”

Thirty minutes later and her hair still wet, they snuggled down in the bed and in two minutes, Daesha was gone to dreamland. Amos lay there in the dark and stared at the ceiling, marveling at her warmth in his arms. God, he didn’t think he’d ever loved anybody the way he loved her. When he finally closed his eyes, it took him no time at all to drop into a deep slumber.

But as he slept, Amos dreamed, and it was a most unusual dream. He was standing in the bar, and the logo from the drum kit leaped off, grew legs, and chased him. They ran around and around the bar until Amos had enough, and he spun and screamed at it. As soon as his voice hit it, it disintegrated into a pile of sticks, and a strong wind blew open the bar door and tossed them aloft.

When he woke the next morning, he had no idea what it meant. But something was bothering him, and he had every intention of figuring out what it was.

The alarm clock went off at seven thirty instead of five thirty, but Amos still couldn’t figure out what was going on. It was Saturday. There was no work schedule. Why in the world did she have the alarm set? “Daesha? Why’s the clock going off?”

She groaned loudly. “Because the animals have to be fed.”

With a sigh, he leaned over, kissed her, and got up. “You stay here. I’ll take care of them.”

  “No! They’re my responsibility! I can―”

“No.” Amos shook his head. “You stay in bed. I’ll take care of them and then go for my run. After I get my shower, I’ll wake you. Got it? Get some rest.” After he’d pulled his shorts and tee on, he leaned over and kissed her before grabbing his socks and shoes and heading to the living room.

Azalea and Felix were having a stare-down when he got outside. Apparently they thought they’d have to fight over food, and Amos wondered what kind of hell the poor things had lived in before they’d come to be in Daesha’s loving care. They most likely weren’t fed properly, and they were still very zealous in guarding what they considered theirs. To ward off an incident, he pulled two flakes of hay and gave each of them one. That seemed to satisfy them, and he brought Ivory into her stall to eat. He’d turn her back out after he’d had his run.

Running into Matt wasn’t a problem. Nobody was stirring in the neighborhood. Matt’s cruiser wasn’t there, so that meant he was working. As he ran, Amos thought about the night before. God, Daesha had been incredible, and he could honestly say that even with all the trophy girls he’d dated, he’d never been prouder to be seen with a woman than he had with her the previous night. Every guy in the bar wanted to be him, and the thought made him smile.

He turned Ivory out and as soon as he ran through the back door, he set the coffee maker to brew and headed straight to the shower. Fifteen minutes later, he stepped into the bedroom in nothing but the towel wrapped around his waist. “Hey, sleepyhead. It’s eight thirty. Wanna get up? Or wanna sleep a little longer?”

She opened one eye. “I need to pee.”

“Well, okay then. Have at it.”

She gave him a sly smile. “And I want you to stay right there.”

Oh, god, he hoped he knew how she was going to answer his question. “Shall I get dressed?”

She stopped in the bathroom doorway and winked. “I don’t want you in anything more than what you’re wearing right now.”

YES! Amos’s brain shrieked. He sat down on the bed, then reclined and got comfortable, hands clasped behind his head. He could hear her doing her thing, then the sound of her brushing her teeth. When she wandered back into the bedroom, he unclasped his hands and reached for her, but she shook her head. “No-no-no. Put your hands right back where they were.”

He almost groaned. If she was going to do what he thought she was … He watched as she made her way to him, then dropped to her knee on the bed and slid upward toward him. Pressing his ankles apart, she kept coming, up between his legs, and when her waist was even with his knees, she rested with her elbows on his thighs and dropped her hands seductively to his towel. Fingers gripping the top edge, she pulled both sides outward and let it fall.

He was already hard. Hell, he’d started hardening when she told him to stay in the towel, and it only got more rock solid from there. A little chuckle rumbled from her chest and she took his cock in both hands, then swirled her tongue around the crown like she was eating an ice cream cone. Amos groaned. It was a first for that with her, and he hoped he could make himself last at least a few minutes, but he was so primed that it would be a monumental task.

In a few seconds, she opened her mouth and sucked it down until her lips were even with the ridge at the base of the head, taking in just its velvety softness. As she sucked it in and out between her lips, her tongue played with the slit, and Amos’s heart rate doubled. Jesus, she was good. He coul
dn’t wait to feel her totally engulf him. She kept that up for at least five minutes, during which he decided she was possibly the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen in his life. Turning loose for just a second, she grinned up at him. “God, you taste good,” she whisper-growled, and his mind spun. With that, she went back to what she’d been doing.

“I’m glad you’re enjoying it, because you’re the only one who’ll be tasting it from now on.” That made her smile. Then she proceeded to lick up and down his shaft. He wasn’t sure what she was going to do, but he was pretty sure it would be amazing. She kept licking, and he kept watching, growing harder with each lick. If she kept it up, he was afraid his dick would explode, it was so engorged. “God, babe, I’m super hard,” he whispered, his voice strangled and thin.

“Yeah. You are. Downright purple you’re so hard. You want this, don’t you?”

“I’d have to be a fool not to.”

“But do you want it from me?”

  He smiled. “Only you.”

“Good. Shit, I wish I had some lube.”

He chuckled. “Sorry. Didn’t know we were going to need any or I would’ve brought some.”

“We’ll get some. Oh, well, saliva will just have to do.” Lapping up and down his length, she left it as wet as she could, then sucked the crown back in before releasing it with a pop. “You ready?”

  “Fuck, babe, I’m past ready.”

“Yeah. You’re throbbing. Let’s see if I can figure out some way to relieve that.” He watched as her tongue darted out and licked at his slit, and the sight distracted him enough that he didn’t see it coming.

Daesha opened wide and took in half his shaft. Amos almost came up off the bed. Her mouth was soft and hot, and he could barely feel her teeth scraping his crown as she worked it in and out of her mouth. Between strokes, her hand was wrapped firmly around his shaft, and she pumped with a twisting motion, the friction from her movement blinding him. “Oh, god, babe, so good. So fucking good.” She kept going and he knew he couldn’t hold out long. “That’s it, babe. Just like that. Oh, yeah, with the tongue. You’ve got it. Perfect. Yeah.” It just couldn’t get any better. Or so he thought.

But when she opened her throat and his cock went far past her gag point, his hands shot out from under his head and he gripped the rungs in the bed’s headboard. Jesus fucking Christ, she had no idea how hard he was trying to last, and she was making it nearly impossible. Her lips brushed the hair at the base of his cock and he couldn’t breathe, just feel. No woman had ever done that with him. He’d seen it in porn movies, but he wasn’t even sure it was real. His head was thrown back and his eyes closed, but he forced himself to lift his lids and watch her. There’d be marks on the insides of his thighs from her fingers digging in, and he knew every time he looked at them, he’d get hard again. As she took him deep, she looked up at him from under her brows, and he clenched his teeth. There was no holding it back―he was coming, and it would be unlike anything he’d ever experienced before, he was sure, so powerful that he wondered if it would be scary. Who the hell cared? If this was her usual work, he’d be marrying that woman.

Marrying her. It was the first time in his life that Amos David Fletcher had ever thought about getting married, but he wanted to watch her, those beautiful lips wrapped around his shaft as it disappeared into her throat, for the rest of his life. She was his rock star. She was his porn queen. She was the keeper of his heart. She was his warrior princess, and she was right fucking slaying his dragon and doing a top-notch job of it.

He was so caught up in watching her that coming had slipped his mind, but when she reached down and tenderly fondled his balls, those thoughts came rushing back in his head. “Holy shit, babe. I’m …” Amos wanted to hold off, but there wasn’t much hope of that. Of course, the only thing better than having her almost swallow him whole was knowing she’d do it again and again. “Oh, god, baby, suck me. Yeah, yeah, oh yeah. Oh, baby, I love you, Daesha. I love you so much, babe. Oh, I’m gonna, um, if you don’t want to swallow, you should probably, uh … Oh, god, um … Yeah, babe, yeah, yeah, OH YEAH!” His hips thrust upward and instead of pulling back, she dropped her mouth down over him, took him as deeply as she could, and held herself there. He came to himself just enough to watch her, and right as he thought she was going to pass out from lack of oxygen, she let his cock go and sucked in a huge breath. “Jesus, Daesha!” Amos whispered. He was already softening, but he smiled as he looked at his dick. Bright red. She’d really worked him over. “God, babe, I thought you were gonna swallow me whole. You okay?”

She was still gasping, and she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. “Yeah. I’m fine. You okay?”

“Holy hell, yes. That was … You really know what you’re doing. I mean, god, I’ve never had a blow job like that before. That was incredible. If it weren’t so embarrassing and none of their business, I’d definitely write home about that!”

She started to laugh, and he did too. “So that was good enough?” she sputtered through her laughter.

“Good enough? If it had been any better, I’d need EMTs to revive me! The only thing I wish I’d done was wrap my hands in your hair and hold your head. I mean, I’d never hold you down on me or force you, but just the illusion that I was would’ve been … How the hell am I going to get anything done for the rest of the day? You sucked me dry, girl!”

Scrambling up the bed, she plopped down beside him as he wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into his side. “So I smell coffee. I guess you started it?”

“You’ve still got cum in your mouth and you’re thinking about coffee? Lawd, girl. You’re one of those women my mama warned me about and my daddy taught me how to hunt down!” That set her laughing again, and pretty soon they were both belly laughing. Without warning, he trapped her lips with his and kissed her. When he pulled back, he smiled. “Mmmm. I can taste me on you. That’s pretty damn hot.”

She grinned up at him. “Yeah?”

“Uh-huh. And now I need another shower. I’ve got enough spit on me to last a lifetime.”

“We need to get some lube,” she scolded.

“I agree. But I may have some at my place.”

  “We might need it there.”

He gave her the side-eye. “We having sex there?”

She gave him a light-hearted shrug. “We could.”

“But why? This is so much more comfortable.”

Dropping her head to rest on his shoulder again, she ran a finger from his clavicle to his navel. “Well, I know it’s kinda soon, but would you be interested in moving in here with me? I can’t move in with you because of the animals.”

“Why the hell would you want to move in with me? Compared to this place, mine is a shit hole.”

“Your house is not a shit hole! And I’m just sayin’ …”

He kissed the top of her head and sighed. “I want that. I want it more than anything. But I think we need to wait a couple more weeks, don’t you? I mean, this is happening kind of fast and―”

“So you’re pulling back?” He could hear the disappointment in her voice.

“No! No, it’s just that I don’t want to move in and then in two weeks you find out I always leave the toilet seat up in the night and you wish you’d never asked me!” he said and chuckled.

She smacked his mid-section lightly. “Don’t make light of this.”

“I’m not. I’m just saying that I’m spending most of my time here anyway, so what’s the rush? We still don’t know a lot about each other yet. And I haven’t met your dad, and you haven’t met my parents.”

She gave him a hard stare. “Um, the wedding?”

“Oh. Yeah. I guess you met my parents, huh?” She nodded. “But you met them as the wedding singer. You didn’t meet them as my girlfriend.”

Her eyebrows popped up. “Well, that’s true.”

“So let’s do that. And let’s do some relationship-building things, okay?”

  “Like?”

He shrugged. “I dunno. Like tomorrow, let’s talk about growing up. Where we went to school, who our friends were, the activities we were in, things like that. How our parents parented us. College and the things we did there. We really need to know more about each other, babe.”

A sigh floated from her lips and across his skin. “I know the most important thing. I know I love you.”

“And I know I love you too. Don’t think of this as mining for information that would discourage us from building a relationship. Think of it as a way to find the things we have in common. That’s what I’m looking for, the things that will pull us together, not an excuse to walk away. I’m not interested in walking away, Daesha Wilkerson. By the way, what’s your middle name?”

  She rolled her eyes. “Morris.”

“Morris?” That got a nod. “Your middle name is Morris?”

“Yeah. My mom wanted to name one of us with her family name. She had some complications when she was pregnant with me and her doctor told her in no uncertain terms that I’d need to be her last child. So when I was a girl, she went ahead and gave me her family name as my middle name. I got teased a lot about that.”

“Now see? That’s the kind of information I’m talking about! And now I know your middle name! And you know mine, but I’m not sure how.”

  “Your mother.”

  “What?”

“Your mother. We were all at the wedding and she said, ‘Amos David Fletcher, if you’re going to go decorate your brother’s car, you’d better do it now.’ And I remembered.”

  “Really?”

She nodded and gave him a shy smile. “Yeah, I haven’t told you, but I was watching you at the wedding. I thought you were the best-looking guy there, but I didn’t think there was even a point in asking anybody your name because you’d never have anything to do with me.”

“Oh, baby,” he whispered into her hair, “you were wrong. So, so wrong.”
