“Are you sure that you want to be with me?” his words were firm, they weren’t him needing encouragement to continue. He wanted to know if I had changed my mind about being with Sebastian.
“Yes,” I breathed, but I held his gaze so he knew that I understood.
His mouth turned into a wicked grin. “Then I’m going to erase everywhere he touched you until only my touch remains.”
I moan as he kissed me hard and slid the shredded shirt off my shoulders. He lips found their way to my chin and blanketed kisses down my neck with soft nips. I leaned back on my hands and felt his fingers trail down my arm until they threaded with mine.
“You are mine. Do you understand? No one else’s.”
“Yes,” I cried out as he took my sensitive nipple into his mouth. I almost climaxed right then from the rush of sensation that shot to my sex. It had been too long since he had caused this kind of pleasure in me. He released my hands and kneaded my other breast while he wrapped his free hand around my waist. He bit me slightly before pulling the peak back into his mouth, then switched his torture to the other side. After a few moments he pulled back resting his hands on my hips. He rubbed them up and down my torso, letting his fingers explore my body. They glided up my back then down my sides grazing up my chest and flicking my nipples as they passed before they finally settled back around my hips once more. He looked at me as he gripped my panties. Keeping my eyes on his, I lifted up and watched as he pulled them from me. I sat there completely naked while he was still fully dressed and I had never been more turned on.
His fingers slid back up my legs. He only hesitated for a moment before pressing two of them inside of me. I groaned and let my head fall back. I had thought I would never feel him touch me there again.
A sound passed Grayson’s mouth that was almost a growl. He dropped to his knees and threw my thighs apart. “What about this? Did he taste you?” I shook my head. “Don’t lie to me Gaby.”
“I’m not. Only you.”
“Good. Only I’m allowed to taste this sweetness.” He buried his head between my legs. His tongue invaded my folds. It rolled over my clit, flicking it before sliding into me. I could feel myself building. Grayson knew my body better than I did so he knew I was close.
“Oh, no you don’t,” he stood back up and pulled me from the counter. He kissed me sharing the taste of my arousal before spinning me around until my back was against him. I placed my hands on the counter to steady myself. I watched through the mirror as he shuffled out of his clothes. I barely got to admire him before he bent me over the counter.
“Ah,” I cried as he filled me in one rapid movement.
“Open your eyes, Gabriella.” It took me a moment, but they fluttered open and locked on his gaze in the mirror. “Look at yourself,” he demanded as he drove himself in and out of me hard. I didn’t want to. I wanted to watch him. “Look at yourself,” he ordered while slowing down his movement to an agonizing speed, which I definitely didn’t want so I turned my sights on mirror Gaby. I had just been on the brink and I wanted there again. “Do you see the face you make?” I did. My eyelids fluttered and my lips were swollen and parted as he pressed himself deeper. “Only I get to see that face, yes?” I nodded in agreement then he slammed into me causing a pleasure cry to escape me. “Only I get to hear those sweet little noises you make, no one else.” He slammed into me again and I moaned once more. “Do you understand me Gaby? No,” slam, “one,” slam, “else,” he pressed himself deep then stopped.
“No one,” I moaned, wanting to feel him moving again. “Just you. Just Grayson,” I promised.
“Good.” He pulled out instantly leaving me empty and wanting. He leaned in and whispered. “Come to bed when you’re ready, in our room.” I watched him through the mirror as he walked out with his erection still jutting out in front of him.
I ached having not found my release. Pleasuring myself crossed my mind after Grayson left me so aroused. I knew he meant it as a punishment for hurting him, even though I hadn’t meant to. So I choose to suffer with the uncomfortablness.
I walked into the room and slid into bed next to him, both of us still naked. He rolled over and pulled me flush against him. I did my best not to moan. My body was still extremely sensitive. “I don’t care if we’re fighting or angry with one another. I don’t want to sleep without you ever again. I love you and I always want you next to me,” he whispered and I nodded.
I laid awake for hours. I was still extremely uncomfortable. I tried squeezing my thighs together, doing kegels, changing positions, but with Grayson holding me tight, I only had so much wiggle room. I groaned for the hundredth time.
“Still frustrated?” Grayson asked, his voice startling me.
“I thought you were asleep?”
“How can I with all the wiggling and groaning happening over there.” He pressed his hand on my hip until I rolled over to face him. He raised his brow waiting for an answer.
“Yes, I’m frustrated.”
He chuckled arrogantly. “Me too.” I didn’t think he meant in the same way as me. “I know that what you did was done only because you thought I was dead and it wouldn’t have happened any other way, but it still hurts.”
“I know and you have no idea how guilty I feel. I just didn’t want to feel the pain that you’re being gone left. I wish I had trusted my gut, but I thought it was just grief.”
“What do you mean?”
“I kept thinking that you were alive and I was right, but I didn’t trust my intuition cause I didn’t want to be disappointed when it turned out not to be true. I wanted you so badly, that I thought it was just my hopefulness getting the best of me,” I cried.
Grayson wiped away the tears that I was shedding. “Oh, Gaby.” He held me while I cried.
“I even had dreams about you. They were so horrible. I kept seeing you in room with bars, but I couldn’t touch you.”
Grayson tensed, “You saw that?” I nodded. “Gaby, I thought I was dreaming about you. The last time I saw you, you fed me.”
“You saw it too? I thought my mind was just being cruel by not letting me touch you.” I cried more. Once I settled, I tilted my head up to look at him. His gray eyes were watching me. He settled me next to him and we just looked at one another. He looked to be deliberating something. He blinked a few times before moving to kiss me.
It wasn’t like it was earlier. This wasn’t rough, it was gentle. I kissed him back not trying to push it, but when Grayson shifted his weight rolling over on top of me, I parted my legs allowing his to settle between them. My hands found his hair and threaded into it anchoring myself to him. He kissed me sweetly until my lips parted giving him access, which he took. His tongue danced with mine in a slow dance. His fingers glided up my thigh to lift my leg over his hip. With the slightest pressure, Grayson eased himself into me until he filled me.
“Oh, god,” I sighed contently.
His movements were slow and unhurried as he moved inside of me. Where earlier had been hard and fast, it was now the polar opposite of slow and gentle. He was making love instead of fucking.
Grayson’s lips never left mine and as I felt the familiar build he quickened his pace only slightly until we came apart together.
“Why are you crying? Did I hurt you?” I didn’t even realize I was. When my orgasm exploded so did all the emotions I had been holding back. I let everything go.
I shook my head seeing the concern in his eyes. “I never thought I would have this again.”
His lips pulled up in a small grin then placed a gentle kiss on my forehead. “You will always have me.” As I drifted off to sleep I thought I heard him whisper, “Forever.”
CHAPTER TEN
The following afternoon, Grayson and I sat on the couch with Officer Brown and Detective Jacobson, the police that were assigned to Grayson’s missing person’s case. I had placed the call first thing, after we’d woken, which was around noon. After asking us to come down to the station, I insisted
they come to Grayson. He had just suffered a traumatic experience after all. Once they arrived and pleasantries were exchanged, along with beverages, they began asking questions.
“So do you remember anything about your surroundings? Smells? Noises?”
“I’m sorry officers. I’m not sure how much help I can really be. I was blindfolded the entire time. It was eerily quiet, unless they were talking and smelled of lemon cleaner.”
“What did they say?”
“They didn’t speak in front of me. I could only hear the low mummer of their voices.”
“So there were multiples?”
Grayson shifted uncomfortable. He knew we had to give them something, but we couldn’t exactly tell them vampires had taken him. One, they’d probably think he was suffering from a nervous breakdown after his experience. Two, if they did believe him, they were no match for vampires and we didn’t want to be responsible for their deaths, which would undoubtedly happen if humans walked into a vampire nest.
“There were. I’m not sure how many; a man and a woman unquestionably.”
“What did they do to you?”
This time I shifted uncomfortably. I knew the answer, but again, the less the human’s knew the better.
“With the exception of the blindfold and restraints, I was treated like a prince.”
The officers exchanged looks. I didn’t think they were buying it.
“See Mr. Alexander,” Officer Brown started cautiously, “the problem with your story is, if you were really restrained for the last two months, there’d be some sign. Bruising and darkening of the skin, but you…” she gestured to Grayson’s wrists, one of which was covered with a large silver watch that might have been big enough to hide some, if not all of the mark. “It doesn’t seem like you want to help us find the people who did this to you. You give us awfully few details and you refuse a medical exam…”
“Because he’s been through enough!” I clinched the arm of the chair to keep myself sitting. “You know what?” I threw my hands up. “I’ve had enough of this.” I sat forward and caught Officer Brown’s gaze. “You are done with your questions. You have done an amazing job on Mr. Alexander’s missing person case.”
“What is this?” Detective Jacobson asked.
“Sit down and be quiet. I’ll get to you in a moment,” I said catching his gaze before turning back to his partner.
I explained that the inconsistencies in Grayson’s story were nothing to worry about. He had returned home and that was all that mattered. The fact that they had no suspect, no longer interested them and the first opportunity they had they would discontinue the case and leave it unsolved.
Afterwards, we shook the officer’s hands and thanked them. They thanked us for our hospitality and apologized that there were no leads but that they were both glad Grayson was home.
When the door closed behind them, I leaned my forehead against it waiting for Grayson’s reaction. Messing with people’s minds wasn’t something I liked doing, but he liked it even less.
Slowly I turned to face him. He looked at me sternly, and then floored me when he spoke. “Thank you.”
“What?” I asked thinking I misheard him.
He closed the distance between us. Cupping my face between his palms, he placed a soft kiss on my lips. “Thank you for doing that. I hated lying to them and I don’t want anyone innocent to be accused of my kidnapping and we both know the guilty party will never stand trial in a human court.”
“You’re welcome?” I asked, unsure if that was the correct response.
Grayson smiled and leaned in to kiss me again. Just before his lips touched mine, my phone rang. I groaned knowing the ring tone.
“Yes, Jade?”
“You could at least act like you’re happy to hear from me.” I didn’t respond “Is it that I’m interrupting all the copulating you two are doing, if it is I’m sorry. You’re not naked now, are you?” I heard someone in the back ground groan and shuffle away. “What?” She called out, but it wasn’t to me.
“What do you want, Jade?”
“You’re being summoned. You and vamp stud.”
“Of course we are.”
I wanted to fidget the entire way, but I didn’t. I concentrated on my breathing which kept my heartbeat at a normal speed and kept Grayson from knowing that I was on the verge of a freak out. We were going to The Angelo Tower. Grayson and Sebastian were going to be under the same roof. I hoped, actually, I prayed, that Sebastian would know how uncomfortable this would be and would disappear from the building for a few hours or at least until Grayson and I left. When we arrived on Damien’s floor and I felt the angel tie pull at me, I knew I wasn’t that lucky. I forgot to breathe and my heart took off like a jack hammer.
Grayson grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. “It will be okay, Gaby. I promise no matter what happens here, tonight I’m taking you home to our bed. All that is determined here is whether or not we’re having hard, rough sex, or if I’m making love to you.”
“I like both those options.”
“Then you have nothing to worry about.”
I smiled at him, grateful that he understood my discomfort and didn’t resent me for it. I wasn’t sure why he was being so patient. I didn’t know if he thought differently of me since my reveal. Only time would tell, which I was more than willing to put in. After all, we were immortal, but then again, so was Sebastian.
When we found ourselves outside Damien’s office, I halted not want to enter. The pull had only grown stronger the closer we approached. The choice was taken from me when Jade swung the door open with a wicked grin.
“Now it’s a party,” she ushered us in. I promptly saw who I’d been expecting. Damien and Sebastian appeared to be in huddled conversation, or had been before we walked in. Their attention quickly turned to us as we neared.
“Grayson,” my father was soon in front of us. “I see you’ve made a quick recovery.”
“No doubt the phenomenal nurse I had,” Grayson said sweetly at me. Outwardly, I smiled softly, inside I was completely uncomfortable. I could feel Sebastian’s eyes on me, but I didn’t dare meet them.
“That is wonderful news; unfortunately it is not why I asked you here today. I was hoping we might speak alone.”
It took me a moment to understand that Damien wanted to speak with Grayson. “Oh?” I sounded baffled.
“I’m sure whatever you have to say to me, Gabriella will hear of it later. Why not just save us the time and keep her here?” I didn’t know if what he said was the real reason or he just didn’t relish the idea of me being alone with Sebastian. If that was the case, I didn’t know if his mistrust was aimed at me or Sebastian.
Damien turned a tight lipped smile to Grayson. “It is about the night of your rescue.”
I felt Grayson immediately stiffen next to me. I assumed it was from being reminded of the experience, something he was trying so hard to forget. He turned slowly to me. I could see he had a metaphorical mask placed gently on his face. “Perhaps it would be best if you waited for outside.”
I wanted to ask why. I wanted to know what he was hiding, what he was keeping from me. Instead I pulled the same mask over my face and smiled at him impassively. “Of course. I’ll be in the common area.” I stood on my toes and placed a chaste kiss on Grayson’s lips before heading to the door. I exited and was followed by Jade and Sebastian.
Jade shut the door behind her. We all stood there awkwardly for a moment before Jade spoke. “Well,” she murmured leaning back on her heals. “I have to be anywhere else but here. You two enjoy the awkwardness.” Using vampire speed, she was gone.
“I guess it’s really that bad, huh?” Sebastian asked. My lips pulled tight and I gave him a nod then turned to head to the common area. Damien may have his rooms soundproof, but I still didn’t want to appear to be ease dropping. I planned on figuring out what Grayson was hiding later. “You’re really not going to talk to me?” he asked.
“What
would you like me to talk to you about?”
“Anything?”
“Alright, do you know what they’re talking about in there?” I knew one of two things. Either Sebastian knew what they were discussing and might share it with me or he had no idea and my bringing up Grayson might make him uncomfortable enough to leave me alone.
“Really? You want to talk about your ex fiancé’s conversation with your father?” That neither confirmed nor denied my thought.
“You said anything? And he’s not my ex anything.” I continued down the hall to the common area.
“I don’t know what they’re talking about, but obviously something happened either during his time there or during the rescue. I honestly don’t know.”
“Thank you for your honesty.” I was almost to the common room. Sebastian grabbed my arm and spun me to face him. “What are you doing? Let go of me!”
He pinned me against the wall with his body. I felt my fight leave me instantly. I liked the feel of him against me, but Grayson immediately popped into my mind. I reared back and slapped Sebastian across the face. His head teetered to the side and popped back in place so fast that it almost appeared as if nothing had happened, but it did make some space between us which helped clear my head.
Sebastian’s face suddenly changed. It was strange. It didn’t appear to be from the slap. Perhaps if I’d been human I would have missed the expression he had when he recovered from the slap, but it looked like recognition. “I can smell him on you.” He leaned into me, but not as close as he had just been.
“I live with him.”
“It’s not like that. Not like his scent is clinging to you. You smell like him.” His face hardened more. “You slept with him, didn’t you?”
I squared my shoulders and held my head a little higher, defiantly. “I don’t see how that is any of your business.”
“Months Gaby. Months we spent together, and you told me you weren’t ready, but he’s home for a few days and you’re back in his bed?” I stayed silent. I didn’t need to explain myself to him even though I did think I owed it to him. He shook his head. “I’m getting off track here. I need to say something.”
