Their Grouchy Bear [Milson Valley 8] (Siren Publishing Menage Amour ManLove)
Page 17
“We will. It’s time I finished this.”
“Go to hell. Finn’s mine! They’re both mine, not yours.” Bastion looked crazed. “You can’t stop the bombs from going off, we’re all going to die, one way or another.”
Next moment Bastion was screaming and holding his head as he fell to the ground. Finn was caught between wanting to stop this, to stop his mate from hurting his brother, and staying out of the way.
Urian grabbed a fistful of Bastion’s hair, currently dyed auburn, and jerked the man’s head back.
“Let’s try this again, Bastion. You came after my mate, took a member of my pack and have set up bombs. Give me the detonator, or I will take it from your unconscious body.”
“No!”
“So be it.”
Urian pulled his fist back and slammed it into Bastion’s face, the seer’s head snapping back, knocked out cold. What Uri did, knocking Bassie out with a punch was much nicer than Uri using his gift of pain. Finn ran to Jude while Uri turned Bassie over and locked paranormal cuffs on the maniac.
“Jude, it’s going to be okay.” Finn pressed a hand to his brother’s bleeding stomach to stop the flow. “There is a witch and wizard coven here in Milson Valley, they’re the best in the world. We’re going to get you there—”
A loud explosion shook the ground beneath them and crashed trees. Tristian appeared beside him with a medical kit.
“Here, let me.”
Finn had seen Tris give medical aid to one of his followers once and quickly removed his hands and helped. They wrapped Jude up tight.
A portal opened right beside them, and two faes, a witch and four wolves stepped through. The witch immediately dropped down beside them and checked Jude over quickly, then ordered one of the fae to pick up him and take him straight to the Armstrong coven for healing.
“I’ve got to go, baby.”
“Yes. Come on prickly hedgehog, let’s go with Finn and Jude.” Tristian glanced across the field. “Urian, we’re out of here.”
“Watch our mate’s back, Tris,” Uri ordered.
“I was going to! Don’t have to order me.” Tristian growled then pushed Finn and Dalton through the fae portal ahead of him. “Damn bossy wolf.”
Finn grabbed his mate’s hand as he stepped through.
* * * *
With Bastion back on Hell Island care of a fae portal and probably locked up there for eternity, the three bombs set up in the forest disabled, and Jude recovering upstairs in a guest room, Urian, Finn, and Tristian were in the living room, Urian pacing.
“I said do not engage Bastion, Finbarr,” their mate growled.
“Yeah, my bad. I saw an opportunity and took it, but believe me, I won’t be doing that again. At least Jude will be okay, and Pa let me keep him!” Finn nearly bounced off the sofa in excitement.
Urian winced. “Your brother needs twenty-four seven protection. He tripped going up the stairs half an hour ago, and if I weren’t there, he would have rolled down and broken something.”
“I still don’t know how he got shot. He was directly behind me, and the gun was pulled all the way to the left. It’s like he’s an accident magnet. We should make him one of the safety suits.”
Tris liked the guy. It was weird watching and listening to his mate’s brother. They looked so similar except for their different colored eyes, and Jude wasn’t as built as Finn. While Tris’s mate was well toned and fit, Jude was skinny and the more he looked at them, the more differences he noted. Finn stood tall and straight, chin up, meeting the world with an attitude. Jude smiled and nodded, head half lowered, observing but remaining detached and making himself distant and unavailable.
But the biggest difference was their energy. Finn was technicolor, and his gift was a strong throbbing force throughout, but Jude, Tris noticed, didn’t have the gift vibe at all in his energy. He was a seer…right? Didn’t scent as a seer, yet he was immortal. Still, Jude was a really nice guy.
“You deviated from the plan, mate. I believe in improvising, but you have to know all the variables…”
And Urian yakked on and on for a while. Tris got bored and got beers for him and Urian, champagne for Finn. They were all tired, and after the drama today, Tris just wanted to curl up and hibernate beneath the pile of plush blankets on their bed.
Walking back into the living room, he dropped the champagne glass, though somehow managed to keep a good grip on the necks of the beer bottles.
“I wanted that champagne. Run back to the kitchen and get me another, baby.”
“What? Hell, no, get your own. And don’t tell me what to do.” Tristian’s eyes stayed glued to his bigger mate who was sprawled out naked on the sofa. He was getting very turned on.
“Come here, baby bear.” Urian crooked a finger. While his eyes narrowed in annoyance at being ordered around, his feet carried him right over to the sofa. “Strip.”
“I’m going to because I’m horny seeing you naked and ready on the sofa, not because you’re ordering me to.”
“You’re so cute.” Finn yanked the jumper Tris wore over his head, then the long sleeve t-shirt, thermal, and a singlet. “What’s with all the clothes?”
“It’s cold.”
“You’re a frigging bear shifter, you should be hot,” Finn argued.
“I’m in human form, I don’t have fur—oh, yeah, that’s good.”
Finn had snapped the button open on Tristian’s black jeans, undone the zip and pushed them down his thighs, then palmed his cock and balls.
“Now this is what you’re going to do, our mate. Climb on the sofa and take our wolf’s big dick in your mouth and put your ass up.”
While Tristian liked nothing more than a good argument, and as he was finding out that arguing with his mates turned him on big time, this was an order he could get behind. He still grumbled a bit, just to make a point he didn’t like being ordered about, but he did as told and added his own twist to it by lapping at Urian’s big, wrinkly sack.
“Yeah, that’s good, mate,” Urian growled, canines, long and wicked, sliding down.
Finn didn’t waste any time. After what they’d been through today, Finn standing off against his brother, a friend held at gunpoint and Tristian and Urian having to watch as a crazy seer pointed a gun at their man, they all needed this.
A long slender wet finger rubbed along Tris’s crack and over his hole. He groaned, the vibrations against Urian’s sack making the bigger man moan in pleasure. Finn made quick work of stretching Tristian, sliding in first one finger followed quickly by two and sawing in and out, hitting that little fun spot that had Tris panting and chuffing.
All the while he teased Urian, laving at the man’s long, thick dick, the heavy veins that ran along it, the sensitive nerves around the head that was a deep plum red now, and stroking Urian’s balls and hole. When the third finger sunk into him the little bite of pain made him growl, and Urian’s cock twitched, demanding more attention.
Very quickly he was stretched, and Finn was driving his cock hard into Tris, not pausing to adjust, sinking straight in until he hit bottom then pulling out and slamming back inside again. Urian grabbed a fistful of Tris’s hair and lifting his dick, guiding it into Tris’s mouth.
“Suck me off while Finn fucks your ass hard, Tristian.”
He growled, but it came out more like a groan of pleasure, and he just got more turned on as they pounded into him on both ends as they ordered him this way and that. He hollowed his cheeks and sucked his mate to the back of his throat savoring the musky, wild taste of his wolf, flattening his tongue and stroking along the underside of the big rod and feeling Urian’s balls pull up tight to his body.
Finn slapped their bodies together, moaning behind Tristian as he took him, his hands gripping his hips and probably bruising a little, but Tristian loved it. He wasn’t into pain, but this was loving on him hard and hot and making him give everything to them how they wanted. He gave them everything, growling a little, so ready to explode as
Finn hit the bundle of nerves inside him every fucking time the seer slammed into his ass and pulled out, and the untamed, male taste of his mate, the groans, the way Urian held Tristian by the hair and demanded his pleasure had his orgasm roaring through him and his cock spurting onto the sofa below. Finn swore and tried to move once more then came in Tris’s ass.
Urian roared and bucked up, unloading streams of seed into Tris’s mouth. Tris swallowed, loving the feel of his mates coming inside him.
They collapsed on the sofa together, Finn pulling out of Tristian and snuggling up beside Urian while Tristian lay halfway on top of each. Urian tugged Tristian’s hair gently, caressing, urging him to lift his head. When he did, he was rewarded by a heart-wrenchingly loving kiss. As soon as Urian stopped, Finn’s lips replaced their wolf’s, then Finn and Urian kissed.
He’d gone from a sacred bear on the run to being in the arms of his mates. Maybe karma wasn’t such a bitch or bastard after all. Maybe, just maybe, after all he’d gone through, he’d finally been rewarded with something good.
“Hey, grouchy sacred bear.” Finn smiled. “Welcome home.”
Epilogue
“This is crazy. It’s even more demented than hang gliding off the roof!” Adrian hurriedly jumped behind the bush. “Or that time we jumped out at Stanley the Squirrel to see his reaction, and we got pelted by nuts! I ended up with bruises all over me!”
“It’s a legitimate experiment.” Ran glanced at his watch. “But we better hurry up. Deakin has his phone set up with all these alarms, and my training course is supposed to be finished in forty minutes. So we need to get this done and me to the High Council building for the stupid roll call.”
“That sucks. If you don’t want to do the training course, you shouldn’t be made to,” Tristian grumbled, getting pissed off on his friend’s behalf. “I’ll speak to your mates myself—”
“You remember who Ran’s other mate is, right?” Eddie puffed out a breath. “Big dude with the brown suede cloak, goes by the name of Avenger.”
“Yeah, yeah, he doesn’t scare me…much.” Okay, he was one scary dude, real watchful and Tris had seen the Avenger’s energy. Suffice to say, the creature was deadly. And he spent a bit time of training Tristian, so he knew his gift didn’t work on the man. “Still, it’s not right you’re being made to do that course. What is it anyway?”
“Mediation.” Ran laughed softly. “It’s funny though. When I get bored of the different parties bickering, I just let my gift loose and send them all into relaxed vegetative states. I don’t see the point of the stupid course when I can chill them the hell down with a thought. Hey, you should come along and entrance them into stop arguing.”
“Nah, Tris would just join the arguing and make it worse.” Eddie was staring at the spot they’d left the fireworks.
“True, he would.” Adrian peered through the bushes. “Well? Aren’t you going to try, Eddie?”
“I am.” Eddie snapped, eyes beginning to glow with temper.
“Face the fireworks, we don’t want to blow Adrian’s camera up.” Tris glanced around, some instinct telling him something. “Are we sure no one else is around?”
“Shouldn’t be anyone around,” Adrian said. “No one knows we’re here, it’s fine. Hurry up and blow the fireworks up, Eddie.”
“It’s harder than you think!” Eddie snarled.
There was a loud whooshing sound then high-pitched noises. They all scrambled back and stared up as fireworks shot up and covered the late afternoon sky, dizzying colors, pops and bangs making a big display.
Ran held up binoculars and laughed. “All the pups are out! They love it! You did it, Eddie!”
“Wow, I really did.” Eddie sat back on his ass, staring in shock at where the fireworks had been on the ground.
“Oh, man, I’m going to be in so much trouble.” Adrian scrambled around a bit, then shifted to his bat form and flew upward.
“No!” Ran exclaimed. “Not near the fireworks! Oh, shit, Jude just plowed Finn’s sports car into the back of Drax’s truck!”
Well, the experiment itself had gone well, Tris grinned. And if they got into a little bit of trouble for setting off fireworks unauthorized, so be it. He’d researched fireworks and the safety issues, had tested the distances, so it was safe. And he loved the pups, they were so full of life, smarts, and cheekiness. As for Jude driving, well really, Finn should never let his brother behind the wheel of his sports car, not while he was learning anyway! Dumbass move. What Jude needed was a big old banged up truck to muck around in and have some fun with, live a little, try some things without his family looking over his shoulder smothering the poor guy.
Getting Adrian back down, he hopped around agitatedly in bat form before climbing onto Eddie’s shoulder and perched there as they quickly gathered up their equipment. As they stood and turned, Ran gave a strangled little yelp, Adrian stumbled off Eddie’s shoulder, and Eddie winced. Tris guessed he should listen to his wolf mate more about instincts, then he may have followed what his instincts were telling him about feeling like they were being watched.
Avenger Vicus Aston, Ran’s mate, Vicus’ brothers Eber and Vinncent Aston and Tripp were standing behind them.
“Hi.” Ran wiggled his fingers in hello. “So, er, good fireworks, hey? Pups love them.”
“True, brother, but next time let’s make sure when you want to put on a fireworks display it won’t cause the pack soldiers to lock the place down and hunt you lot.” Eber smirked.
“Fortunately, we overheard you planning. If we hadn’t the soldiers would be on your asses with guns drawn.” Vinncent, the large, dark demon, scowled at them.
Tripp tutted. “Bad form, guys.”
“We were helping your mate with his gift and giving the pups a bit of fun!” Tristian grouched. “What’s wrong with that?” He narrowed his eyes on the Astons. “No harm, no foul.”
“You! You four are in so much trouble!” Finn stormed over. “My car is a wreck and Drax is growling like a feral—you can’t run forever, trouble makers.”
