But as excited as he was, he would wait.
Lucian deserved his patience. If the rest of their lives were as entwined as Marcus believed they would be, there was all the time in the world left to plant roots. There was no rush, and there never would be.
When Lucian was ready, Marcus would know—he’d see it in Lucian’s eyes and hear it in his voice. There would be no rushing into things.
Knowing that it would happen one day was enough.
Lucian slid a hand down his thigh and leaned against his arm, and Marcus held him close. Their scent clung to Lucian’s suit, a reminder of what they shared.
