A Love for Romance

“Sir Chris, I will leave you your bill. It was good to see you again. Come back soon.” Vinnie’s voice is heard, but I still don’t break our stare; neither does she, which I find promising.

I lick my lips and finally break the trance. “Thanks, Vinnie. It was good to see you too, bro.”

“You come out here often?” Sasha asks, like she’s truly interested in me. Well, that kiss definitely changed things.

“When I can.” I smile. “Come.” I extend my hand to her. “Let’s take a walk along the pier. I got something else planned.” I wink, and she gives me that wide grin she was sporting earlier on the drive down here. She seems real, authentic, pure, not like the other rich college kids that come down for spring break.

We walk down the pier. “I love it here. It’s so beautiful. Thanks for bringing me here today.” She smiles with a swing in her step. It is beautiful here, the fresh smell of the ocean water, warm sun, beautiful boats lined along the pier.

“I’m glad you approve.” With her hand in mine we stop walking. She looks around. “Wow, that’s a beautiful boat.” She gleams to the yacht in front of us. “Here can you take my phone and take a picture?” she asks, passing me her phone. She walks off close to the edge of the boardwalk and turns and strikes a pose. I take a few pictures of her. She looks so beautiful and carefree. Something tells me she isn’t always so spontaneous. I close the distance between us and place a chaste kiss on her lips, realizing I can’t get enough of her. We take a few selfies together, a few with our lips locked, and a few just of me.

“That way you won’t forget all about me when you leave.” I smile but she frowns.

“You don’t want me to forget you?” she asks, jutting out her plump lower lip.

“Why would I want that? You’re fun, beautiful, mesmerizing. I’m taken by you. That usually doesn’t happen.” I rub at the beard on my face.

“I’m taken by you too,” she admits a little dreamily. Those blue eyes fill with warmth and are now turquoise against the backdrop of the ocean.

I lean in to kiss her again. Our lips mesh together as the warm wind swirls around us. My tongue reaches out to dance with hers and a shooting need erupts inside me again. This princess maybe a witch that has put a hex on me.

“Sasha...” My lips brush against hers. “...I need to stop kissing you long enough to tell you what we’re doing next.” Her warm, sweet breath brushes across my lips. Her eyes remain closed as she listens to my every word.

“What is it?” she asks almost in a whisper.

“This.” I point to the boat at the dock in front of us.

She opens her eyes and they twinkle. “What do you mean?” she asks with her brows furrowed.

“This is a boat.” I state the obvious. “I want to take you for a ride. It belongs to a guy I know. He lets me take her out when I want,” I explain.

“Sure, yeah,” she says, her excitement building. She turns on her toes, and I take her by the hand again, guiding her toward the yacht.

“It’s beautiful. It’s nice of your friend to let you take her out on a whim. He must be a good friend.” She tilts her head to the side in question.

“He is,” I confirm but don’t feed into her questioning look.

An hour later and we are coasting along.

“This is amazing,” she screams out into the open air, looking free. “My dad used to take my grandparents’ boat out sailing when we went to Nantucket, but since my ...” She pauses and her face drowns in sadness. I lean forward and my thumb grazes her chin, my eyes willing hers to tell me whatever is on her mind.

“What is it, Sash?” I ask, calling her by the nickname I heard her friend calling her this morning.

She shakes her head. “Nothing, I’m sorry.”

My thumb continues to caress her chin, back and forth, back and forth, “Tell me.” I urge, my voice thick and raspy, my heart hurting for whatever is hurting her.

“It’s silly. Just after my brother died my father stopped sailing. We stopped going to Nantucket.” Her lips turn down in a painful frown. “I’m sorry. I don’t want to put a damper on things.”

“You’re not. Please don’t apologize. My mom ... she died ... six years ago. I know what it’s like to lose someone close,” I admit, and it completely floors me. Why did I just give her that intimate detail about my life? I don’t discuss my family with anyone, for sure not a girl I just met, and yet with her I don’t even give it a second thought.

She stares back at me as if she’s drowning in a pain that’s hovering over me like a constant rain cloud. I want to claim her lips and her body, but we are at sea coasting along. “Give me a minute or two. I need to slow us down. Then I’m hoping you’ll let me kiss the hell out of you.” I bite my bottom lip, waiting for her response.

She nods her head and a blush consumes her fair cheeks. “Yes,” she says almost breathless.

I quickly slow the luxurious yacht down. She looks out to the sea like she’s relaxed, basking in every minute with me. I don’t want this day to end.

  Chapter 5

  Sasha

He returns with a lust-filled look in his eyes. This day has been so much more than even my wildest dreams could have conjured. My mother told me to live a little, so I’m taking her advice. Little did I know my heart would fall hard the moment I do. He’s completely not my type, and yet I’m so attracted to him. He’s beautiful, that’s not even a question, from his searing green eyes to his high cheekbones. I even love the beard that covers his face. Which is weird because I didn’t think I was a beard girl until his lips connected with mine and that scruff rubbed against my sensitive skin. When I felt his tongue ring, I jolted a bit but then feeling its coolness in my mouth made the kiss more erotic. That kiss made me picture him going down on me with the scruff on his lips and the ring in his tongue ... a warm shiver runs through my body at the thought. His sun-kissed skin is covered in tattoos ... I’ve never been with a guy that had a tattoo. I can’t imagine what mom would say if I brought a guy like Chris home. He definitely doesn’t fit into the mold my parents want for my partner. I had a “coming out” party for goodness sakes. Girls like me don’t date guys with tongue rings, and yet when I’m with him nothing has ever felt more right or electric. I sure as hell didn’t feel this turned on with Jamie back in high school.

“We’re good.” He walks up to me shirtless, sporting a wide grin. “I uh ... wanted to take a quick shower. Do you want to join me below deck?” He mutters a little, which I find cute because he does not seem like the type of guy who would be shy around a woman. “There’s a couch down there. I didn’t mean you needed to join me. I just want you to know I don’t expect anything to happen.”

“There you go again...” My tone is chiding but playful. “...guessing what kind of girl I am. You’re right. I don’t just have sex with random guys, but I want you and that shower is sounding real good right now. I’ve never showered in the middle of the ocean.” I smirk, lifting my brows and wondering where those words or the bravery I needed to say them just came from. I don’t even know how to flirt on a good day and that sounded more than flirty.

“Well, Sasha...” That sexy, wry smile curves his lips again. “...I’d be happy to have you join me.” He extends a hand to me and his smile makes me melt as my heart beats fast, adrenaline pumping through me from the excitement of what is about to happen. I’ve never been so much out of my element, and yet I’ve never felt more alive.

I place my hand in his and follow him below deck. The space is large and beautiful. I notice a room off to the left with a large king-sized bed in the middle and very little furniture. He opens a door to a bathroom that is too big to be on a boat. Everything about this yacht screams luxury, yet Chris is the simplest man I’ve ever met. As much as he complains about me being a princess, he clearly must have a rich friend. I’m pretty sure local bar owners can’t afford this luxury. I hear the stream of water flow and Chris re-emerges from the bathroom.

  “You r
eady, Sash?” he asks, but he’s truly asking me if I’m cool with all this. I nod and pull him by the back of the neck toward me. His warm lips meet mine once again. The memory of our pervious kisses melts my core. He reaches down to remove my tank top, followed by my bra. He takes a step back and my nipples salute him. I reach for his shorts and unbutton them, pulling the zipper slowly as his electric green eyes bore into mine. I run my hand over his taut ass, lowering his shorts. He lets me take the lead as if he knows that I’m so out of my element I need to feel some sort of control. His cock springs free, erect, thick, and throbbing. I lick my lips.

“You like what you see?” he asks, his tone filled with lust. He reaches out and plays with my left breast, running his thumb along my nipple. I nod and crash my lips onto his, and he moves quickly unbuttoning my jean shorts, unzipping them, and lowering them over my ass. I help him by kicking them off my legs, our lips remaining in a constant tangle of heat. Our tongues collide and move together. Warm heat gushes between my thighs as I press my breasts along the warmth of his strong chest. He lifts me up by my ass, and I wrap my legs around him, all thought of planning and calculating replaced with spontaneity and lust. And oh how the lust courses through my veins when his cock throbs between my thighs. My body temperature spikes to dangerous heights.

“I want you so bad, Sash. So bad,” he mutters into my mouth. It feels strange and hot kissing a guy with a tongue ring. “Fuck, I want you bad.” He pauses and sighs. “I just realized I don’t have a condom in here.” He pauses and bites his lower lip. “I didn’t think this would happen.” He shyly laughs and something about his vulnerable look in this moment makes me want to peel all the layers of Chris ... I pause in my head, realizing I don’t know his last name. At least if we sleep together I should know it.

  “What is it?” he asks.

“I don’t know your last name.”

“Firestone,” he replies. It sounds like a familiar name, but I don’t know why.

“And yours?” he cocks a brow.

  “Landstone.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Landstone.” He smiles. “I’m sorry, I’m not prepared right now. I’m pretty sure my buddy has condoms in the room though.” He winces. I almost feel played by him, maybe a little like a fool too. Was I going to let him fuck me against the shower wall without a condom on? Not very responsible, Sash. He causes havoc inside me. Dangerous. Why does he have a stash of condoms by the bed? Is this his fuck pad? I shouldn’t care. This is a tryst. His past shouldn’t mean anything to me, and yet I feel so connected to him after one day.

“I may not be able to take this hot body of yours, but I need my hands all over you.” He takes the body wash and works up a lather on his hands. Then he runs it around my neck, down my nape, to my breasts. There’s something so erotic about the way he touches me, the way his calloused hands run over my body, that burns me up and makes me want him more. I don’t know if I’m being played or not but I don’t care. I want him so bad it hurts.

“You are so sexy, Sasha,” he whispers. “I wasn’t planning on sleeping with you today,” he says softly as his hands run over the skin of my back. Am I to be insulted? He seems so attracted to me. “I can see that you aren’t the getting around type.” He breathes. “I’m just so attracted to you, and I know it’s crazy because we come from different worlds; we lead different lives, yet you make my heart beat fast and make my skin warm in a way that no other girl has.” He laughs, almost embarrassed, and turns me around to face him. “I feel like you think I’m playing you. I’m not. I swear, please tell me you feel something too and that I’m not crazy.” He stops touching me. His green eyes look into me, almost seeing right through me, and I know he isn’t feeding me a line. “I wanted to fuck you so bad up against this wall...” He pauses. “...I don’t bring any women out here.” His lips turn down. “That box of condoms in the room isn’t mine.” He smiles and his cheeks turn red. “Please tell me you believe me, and please tell me that when we leave this shower I can make love to you?” he asks, and I’m breathless, speechless. I nod my head. He gets to work finishing soaping up the rest of my body. When his hand swipes across the crevice of my thighs I nearly melt. When he’s done with me, he washes himself up at the speed of light then rinses us both of. His green eyes seem electric. His thick girth is hard and wanting. We towel off but not completely before he swipes me off my feet and carries me to the bed, laying me flat. “I want to taste you,” he says, tipping my knee to the side and spreading my legs apart. I’m defenseless to him. Jamie had gone down on me, but nothing ever felt the way it does when Chris’s tongue and cool tongue ring connect with my soft flesh. A moan immediately escapes my mouth. His tongue is truly wondrous as he runs it along my seam into my crevice, up to the tiny bundle of nerves waiting to detonate. He’s right. This is sweet torture. As his relentless tongue laps me up, my hips buck into his face, the scruff of his beard rubbing my tender skin.

“I’m gonna come. Hell, I’m gonna come,” I pant.

“Come for me, Sash,” he replies, and the way he says my name is so tender and caring it sends me down a spiral of bliss. A strong orgasm racks through my body.

“Too much,” I call out, seeing colors.

“Take it, baby,” he answers and I do. I take all of his sinful tongue to heights I didn’t know existed.

When I come down from my high, he reaches for the drawer where the condoms are and pulls one out. “Do I have your permission to fuck you from here to Sunday?” He gleams. “Shit, baby, that pussy of yours is so sweet.” He licks his lips, and I feel a little convulsion down below.

“I leave Friday,” I smile. “But yes, please, fuck me.”

His lips spread wide as he sheathes his cock. His mouth comes crashing down on mine and a thunderous warmth gushes through my body, heating me, making me wet just for him. Is it even possible to feel this way so fast after coming? My previous experiences told me one orgasm tops.

He slides into me, filling me, rocking his hips into me then rolling them in such a way that his girth rubs at my clit, causing little convulsions to erupt. I’m so wet for him as my hands run down his thick, bronzed biceps. He is nothing I’m used to and everything I want. He picks up speed, fucking the hell out of me, lowering his hand to my nub and circling it with his forefinger. He is making me so damn wet.

“I’m getting close, so close ... I can’t.” I nod my head, pulling away from his intense kiss.

“You can, baby. I need this sweet pussy to suck the life out of my cock. You have no idea how tight you feel, how good you feel. Fucking ecstasy.” His lips crash back down onto mine. His hands support a body made of steel. He thrusts and thrusts and warm liquid lust fills my veins, driving me over the edge.

“Fuck! Yes,” I scream as my orgasm racks through me again, my eyes clamping shut as the ecstasy rolls through me in sweet, torturous waves. Moments later Chris stiffens and comes inside me. Will I ever get enough of him? When we were both sated, he falls limp beside me, pressing small kisses to my forehead. Sweet. Caring. Something I never would have guessed he would be.

“I want to do that again.” He laughs softly.

“Me too.” My gaze softens and I smile back. I trace the edges of tattoos that look so intricate and interesting. There are many facets to Chris I need to learn. Want to know.

I suddenly want to spend every sleeping and waking hour with him while we are in Florida, but I know I can’t abandon Kelly that way. I’m lucky she falls into Todd’s bed at night. It means that Chris comes to me at the crack of dawn after he closes the bar. We make mad, passionate love that I never want to end.

When Friday comes too fast, it’s hard to leave. It feels like I’m leaving a piece of my heart behind.

“I can’t leave and never see you again,” I sigh, looking into his green eyes as he lies beside me in my bed at the Beach Hotel. Had my spontaneity been a good thing? Was my mother right to tell me to live a little? Now it feels like my heart is being crushed in two. />
“Don’t even say that. It isn’t happening. We’ll make this work,” he says with such vehemence that I want to believe him. Then his voice cracks. “Sash, I’m falling in love with you. These last few days you’ve made me rethink my life, my goals. You’re so damn special you have no idea,” he says, brushing a hair out of my eyes.

“I ... I ... I think I’m falling for you too,” I admit, my heart soaring yet wondering how we can make things work.

Two and a half months later

It has been too long since I’d seen Chris in person. Facetime isn’t enough to quell my need for him. Mom drives me to the airport, wanting to meet the boy who stole my heart over spring break.

“You going to tell me more about this guy before I meet him?” Mom presses, looking out to the highway.

Yeah, Mom. He’s a six-foot hunk covered in tattoos and piercings, but he also has a heart of gold and fucks like an animal. Not saying that to dear ol’ Mom, even though she confided in me that she met a man on her trip to Hedonism, which I now understand was one hell of a trip where Mom had experiences I had to cover my ears for. She met a man, but he is not the settling down type, though he seems to call her often.

“How about we talk about Liam?” I wag my brows, referring to the man she’d met on her trip. She mentioned him being dark, mysterious, and sensual. That’s all my ears could take.

We get to the airport and park the car. My heart beat speeds up as we make our way into the terminal. It has been too long since I’ve seen Chris. Since he’s touched me, kissed me. My body feels electric and he isn’t even in front of me yet.

We wait at “arrivals” and I spot him first. My chest warms at the sight of his tanned arms pulling a suitcase. His green eyes land on me. “That’s him,” I squeal to Mom. Her jaw dropped a little as expected.
