Danger to the Duke

“How can it be possible that I could find someone so lovely, so clever and so understanding?”

“How could I ever have found a man who is so wonderful in every possible way?” whispered Adela.

Michael slid in beside her and as she raised her lips he knew she wanted him to kiss her.

For a moment he stayed looking at the beauty of her eyes and the sweetness of her face.

“I do not believe you are real,” he said at length. “I have just invented you and I am frightened that I shall suddenly find you have disappeared and all that remains are my thoughts and memories of you.”

“I will never never disappear,” Adela sighed, “and if you are frightened of losing me, I shall always be afraid of some of the beautiful women you must have met in India.

Oh, Michael, never never leave me! I know now I could not live without you.”

She put her arms around his neck and pulled his head down towards her.

She felt a streak of ecstasy sweep through her body and she had no idea that love could be so forceful, so demanding.

She loved Michael until she felt as if her whole body vibrated towards his and when they were joined together they were no longer two people, but one.

As if Michael knew what she was thinking, he very gently moved his lips over the softness of her skin.

When he kissed her lips he felt the quiver that coursed through her and then he was kissing her neck and the little valley between her breasts.

He realised that, while he was still very gentle, he was awakening Adela gradually to the ecstasy of love.

An ecstasy which carries those who feel it up into the sky until they reach Heaven itself.

It is the love that men had fought for, longed for and died for since the beginning of civilisation.

Those who were fortunate enough to find it knew it was the love of God who had made man in His own image.

“I love you, my darling Adela, for all eternity,” said Michael and his voice was very deep.

There were no other words to express what he was feeling.

He only knew that his body, his heart and his soul were beating to one word.

Love, Love, Love over and over and over again.

  THE END
