Sylvie

Sylvie went down to the cellar. She grabbed Tom’s hand and curled it around the gun. She dropped the gun on the floor and went upstairs.

She picked up the bag as she passed the kitchen table. She walked out the back door and into the gloom. Creak. Slam.

Lightning flashed and thunder rumbled. The rain fell in hard, sharp drops. Sylvie glided towards the forest in her bloody wedding gown. Cavorting shadows detached themselves from under the trees. They slinked to her. As they met up with her they fanned out behind her like a malevolent wedding procession.

As she stepped into the forest, the terrible shadows slithered under branches and over stumps. The repulsive parade snaked its way to the familiar clump of trees. KABOOM! A black doorway opened and a pair of crimson red eyes appeared. Sylvie swept up the steps and entered. The doorway inhaled the shadows and closed with a mighty KABOOM! Sylvie and the shack were hidden once more.

  Double Murder/Suicide Investigation Officially Closed

As most of us prepare for July 4th celebrations, the Kranburg Police Department officially closed the Boswell double murder/suicide investigation.

“It was a straightforward case,” said Mr. Mike Wright, lead investigator, “We have a motive and a suicide note confessing the crime. It was just a matter of tying up loose ends.”

The investigation revealed the deaths occurred sometime during the afternoon of June 20th. Apparently, Thomas Boswell found out his wife, Bridgette Boswell, was having an affair with Kevin Nolan. Upon learning the news, Mr. Boswell allegedly killed Mr. Nolan and Mrs. Boswell. He then allegedly wrote a letter of confession before killing himself.

Mr. Earl Hartman and his wife Ellen, discovered the tragedy when they checked on their neighbor after returning from a trip out of state.

Mr. Hartman expressed shock at the discovery, “He was such a nice guy and a great neighbor. We never would have expected him to do anything like this.”

Mrs. Hazel Edilton, a longtime neighbor to Mr. Nolan, says she was instrumental in the investigation. She claims she isn’t surprised by the news at all, and is quoted as saying, “That Bridgette was coming and going from Kevin’s house day and night. I knew something was going on and I told the police that, too!”

It appears that although no one knows the exact sequence of events, a clear picture has emerged from the evidence found at the scene.

Apparently, Mr. Boswell discovered the affair when he caught them in the act. Mr. Boswell immediately shot and killed Mr. Nolan. Mr. Nolan’s body was found in the Boswell’s bedroom.

After killing Mr. Nolan, the evidence shows that Mr. Boswell and Mrs. Boswell had a violent confrontation. During which, Mrs. Boswell was apparently killed.

Mrs. Boswell’s body is still missing. She is presumed dead. It was confirmed that her blood was found in the cellar. Her blood was also found on Mr. Boswell and his clothes. Mr. Boswell confessed in his suicide note that he had ‘killed her and dumped her in the river’. Mr. Boswell then used a noose to hang himself.

Although the investigation is officially closed, Mr. Wright stated that Bridgette Boswell will continue to be listed as a missing person.

“Although, we know what happened, unfortunately we cannot close the missing person’s case until we find her body.” Mr. Wright said, “But the investigation into the double murder/suicide is officially closed.”
