Ace in the Hole

He lifted his lips from her neck and gently licked the punctures. Lily smiled and stared up at the ceiling. For the first time in her existence, she felt cleansed, peaceful, happy. Loved.

Tenzin caressed her hair as he gazed down at her. After several moments, a smile curved his lips.

She returned his smile. Tingling energy spiraled through her limbs, energy she hadn’t felt in so long. She slid her hands over his arm muscles.

A silent moment passed and Lily became aware again of Tenzin inside her, his dragon still swollen and unfulfilled. She squeezed her muscles around him and moved her hips.

He sucked in a breath, and his golden skin darkened. “Take your pleasure, my love,” she whispered. She bucked her hips again, and Tenzin took her lips in a hot kiss. Bracing his weight on his elbows, he thrust inside her again, in long, delicious strokes that massaged her inner walls and brought her to another blissful explosion.

In moments, Tenzin stiffened. With his mouth locked over hers, he stopped moving. Lily felt the warm gush of his yang cloud inside her womb. As his body relaxed, he kissed her softly before pulling back and gazing at her. His long lashes were heavy over his dusky eyes.

Lily reached up and touched his damp cheek. A sudden surge of shame reddened her cheeks. “Tenzin, I have to tell you something.”

  “Yes?”

“You are already my Jade Dragon.” She smiled and kissed his parted lips. “Don’t you understand what a Jade Dragon is? He’s a man who supports a Tigress’s spiritual work, who protects her, and is there for her. Aside from the physical skills of retaining your yang, you have already done these things and more.”

Those incredible eyes misted. “I’m honored.” He clasped his hand over hers and pressed his lips into her palm. He slipped out of her and gathered her against him.

She settled into the warm strength of Tenzin’s body. She smiled again, flooded by a sense of contentment she’d never known. “Thank you, Tenzin.”

Tenzin’s hand moved gently over her hair. “I’m sorry I disobeyed you, Lily. In my place, you would have taken the women to Foshan, I’m certain.”

“What you did was far more noble.” She kissed him again. “You did the right thing. You did what a true friend would have done.”

He stared down at her his amber eyes misted. “Friend?”

Warmth flooded Lily’s body. When she’d first seen Tenzin on the platform in the gaming parlor, his perfect attitude and abundant life force had made him seem to be a living, breathing ace in the hole for her Tigress practice. How wrong she’d been. He was more. So much more. She smiled and snuggled in closer to him. To the man she loved. “Yes,” she said softly. “Friend. Best friend.”
