He nods, “Good. That’s good to hear. Now, I’ll be real with you. I told her I was bringing Chaz up here temporarily, but it’s a lie. This situation is . . . mind boggling, but it’s not my place to judge. I know Chaz and I know he won’t be half the country away while his kid’s learnin’ to crawl up here. He’s gonna wanna be here too, so, I’m making it permanent.”
“Understood,” I say, taking in a deep breath, trying to understand how fucking insane this is.
“Now, I have another question for you. Are you committed to staying with her?”
“How is that any of your business?” I ask, not hiding the annoyance in my voice. He has some balls to be digging into other people’s relationships.
“This is my club. Everything that happens here is my business, and don’t you forget it.”
I shrug, not caring much about showing him I’m not too happy he’s digging into business that I don’t think he needs to know about. But, I’ll let bygones be bygones. “All due respect, Prez, I’ve been looking for a woman like Cheyenne most of my fuckin’ life, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned with age, it’s to let things come naturally. With her, I don’t have to worry about shit. She just gets me, so I’m staying with her because she’s important to me. And no, I won’t let some dramatic baby daddy fuck it all up if he does end up staying here. She’s mine, and that’s the end of it.”
“I wouldn’t worry about Chaz coming after Cheyenne. He’s very much infatuated with Crina. At least, that’s what I’ve been told. Guess we’ll see in a couple weeks when he arrives with her.” Zane chuckles.
I know he’s fucking with me, but man it pisses me off that he’d even remotely joke about something like this. Multiple lives could hang in the balance if something goes wrong, and sure while we might not kill each other, it could fuck up all of our happiness. Part of me wishes Cheyenne wasn’t such a good person and would just keep it from him, so we could raise the baby ourselves . . . but if she did that, I wouldn’t respect her the way I do.
“Prospect, get the fuck over here!” Zorro snarls from the other end of the club.
Zane cocks a brow, “You do something to piss him off?”
“Apparently, so I’d better get going.” I mutter, walking off before Zane gives me permission. I don’t think he cares much though, considering Zorro’s really sounding irritated.
I walk over, passing most of my fellow prospects and look up at him. “Everything okay?” Most people don’t know, but Zorro and I are pretty good friends. We typically share coffee in the club early in the morning when a lot of the prospects are still asleep. It’s usually when most of the full patches are out doing shit for Zane, or for their families.
I could tell him about all the shit from today, but he’s going to find out soon enough. So, I shrug. “Yeah.”
“Well that’s bullshit. The fuck is going on with you?”
“You’ll find out soon enough and I’m sure everyone else will too, but Cheyenne is pregnant.”
“Whoa, that’s some heavy shit. Who’s the daddy?”
“Chaz.”
“Oh fuck. You okay?”
I nod, “Yeah, it was before we were together, but shit it complicates things and we’re just getting to know one another. I mean, I won’t fuck shit up. This is what people who settle down do, right? Have babies with their girlfriends? So, who says I can’t be an extra mom to this kid if things go well?”
“I like the way you think, always looking for the positivity in everything.” He smirks.
“In this situation I need to have some positivity, but, I’d be lying if I said I’m not anxious. What if she decides she’s in love with him or something? You know?”
Zorro rolls his eyes, “Stop being insane. Those two would never work. They’re like mixing oil and water. Chaz is controlling as fuck and Cheyenne is independent. Do I need to say more?”
I shake my head, “Thanks for always being on my side.”
“No problem, now I’m gonna need you to be on mine. I’m making a trip up to Stonewall in a few weeks.”
The Stonewall University where Ruby was attacked? Shit. This isn’t good. “I thought Dex was handling that.” I remind him, trying not to talk him out of it. If Cheyenne had been attacked on campus, I’d be doing the same thing he is.
“He is, but I’ll be clearing out some of the people in his way.” Yeah, right.
“You’re just an impatient fucker who wants to get shit done and not wait around.” I chastise him.
“Yeah, so? I was thinking about talkin’ Zane into lettin’ you come with me too, but you had to go and get so pissy.”
“You’ll take me regardless. Too many others over here aren’t big fans of you right now, like Grim and Axel.” I poke fun at him.
“Yeah, I know. One day maybe they’ll be cool with me and their sister. I mean fuck . . . I’m trying so hard to push her away, but . . . I can’t. I want her. Fuck, my cock’s gettin’ hard thinkin’ about her right now. And she just dyed her hair blonde, Frost. God, looks like a fuckin’ Playboy Bunny.”
“I’m going to pretend I never heard that.” I gag, causing him to smile.
A few moments of silence pass by before he looks at me, but his expression is serious. “You know if you need to talk about shit, I’m always here, right?”
I nod, “Yeah, and I hope you count on being my therapist for a while. I’ll need it.”
“You can pay me in beer and wings.”
“You got it,” I laugh, smirking at a man who’s quickly become one of my dearest friends. For both our sakes, I hope things go smoothly, but as always only time will tell.

I hope you all enjoyed Frost. It was one of the most enthralling books I’ve ever written, solely on the fact I was able to jump from point-of-view to point-of-view. Chaz’s story was so complicated, but then add in the shit with Cheyenne and I knew we needed to tie up those loose ends. BUT, instead of writing a novella piece just on the dynamic between Chaz, Cheyenne, Frost, and Crina. . .
I’m going to be popping the chapters in the Reapers MC novels so you guys will get your answers. Only those who’ve read Chaz onward will really understand the missing plot gaps, but they’re coming and you’re getting all the answers you’ve asked me for. This is something I simply can’t rush, wanting it to be as perfect as it can for you all.
Zorro’s book is up next, and he’s going after the pieces of shit who attacked Ruby on campus. Are you ready for Zorro to get the revenge he’s been itching for? Plus, how will Axel and Grim cope with the fact they used to all share Shiloh and now Zorro is going after their little sister? November can’t come soon enough!
