“A soccer match.” She put his hand back. He smiled up at her in amazement.
He hadn’t caught what she meant, except the fact that the baby was active. He dropped his face into her neck. “I’ve missed you so much, Reggie. Come back to me. Please. I swear I’ll make you happy. Don’t leave town and don’t rebuild your place. I want you here with me. We’ll add on. You can draw it up any way you want.”
Reggie turned his head so she could kiss him once again.
“I’m not letting you go again,” he said. They kissed more ravenously, greedily savoring each other until Ben thought he was going to burst. She reached to the front of his jeans and undid the zipper.
He broke the kiss and looked up at her, confused. “Can we?”
She shyly nodded ‘yes.’
He slid off the couch and carried her to his bed. He removed his shirt and jeans then removed her underwear and slipped her sundress over her head. He leaned down and looked at her naked bulging stomach. “I can’t believe how stunning you are pregnant,” he said as he rubbed her belly. He leaned in and gave it a kiss then rested his head on it for a moment. He picked his head up and looked at her.
“Do you know if it’s a boy or a girl?”
“I didn’t want to know. Do you?”
“No.” He kissed her belly again.
He scooted himself up and passionately kissed her some more before positioning himself carefully on top of her. With all the gentleness he could muster, he entered her. They melted in ecstasy instantly, neither believing they were finally together again. They made love with more passion than they ever dreamed possible.
“Marry me, Reggie,” Ben said with his arms protectively around her when they had finished. “I’m not taking no for an answer.”
“Will you make me another swing for a wedding present?”
He laughed and pulled her close. “One that will fit three, darlin’.”
“You’d better make it four.”
His head shot up. “Twins?”
