I was still hesitant and careful, showing no PDA around Jack with Ethan. I sat at the table after everyone was there and made sure everyone’s glass was full and plate was overflowing with their favorites. I tried to look relaxed and happy, not letting my nervousness take the best of me.
When Cole got fussy, I went to soothe him. I tried not to let it seem odd that things had worked out so well.
I didn’t ask Jack that weekend what had changed his mind, but I know I will. It’ll be a scab that I won’t be able to stop picking until I know what changed for him to be okay with it all.
Until then, Ethan and I are going to take it slow. While we may have had an incredibly passionate beginning, we’re learning about each other more now. We date, as weird as that seems for me. There is more interacting with each other than groping each other under the table.
