URBAN: In Love with A Boss Nigga
Page 28
“Well she would being a crazy crackhead that she is. What did she say?”
“She said that I was supposed to die.”
“What?” Lionel sat up. “Did that bitch threaten you?”
“I don’t think so. I just think she was talking out of her ass.”
“Nah, I can’t put nothing past that bitch ever since she tried to set me up and Antwon took the fall for me. If it wasn’t for her, Antwon would have never got shot and he would have never had to kill that nigga. Fucking bitch.” He felt himself get angry again, but when he saw Giselle’s face, he started to calm down. “What did she say exactly?”
“Well this was right before the cops. She looked at me and said that I got her locked up so that me and my drug dealer boyfriend can run the streets. Then she said that they were supposed to kill me. Whatever. We both know that she is crazy.”
Lionel nodded his head but then he stopped. He was going crazy trying to figure it out. Sure Ms. Rita was crazy but she seemed to always be tangled up in some nonsense. Finally, Lionel got it.
“Oh shit. She wasn’t setting me up.” He turned and looked at Giselle. “It was about you. She set up you.”
“What? That doesn’t make sense.”
“You remember that time she tried to fight you and I threw the drugs at her?”
“Yeah, but I don’t see where you’re going with this.”
“She knew that I had drugs and when she saw you crashing at my house, she knew that we were messing around. She always hated you. I’m guessing when she tried to set me up, she must have added you too.”
“But why didn’t Janine-”
“What? What are you trying to say? Why didn’t she recognize you? You didn’t look like yourself and on top of that, I doubt that nigga really told her what she was doing. The way he was bossing her around, she just knew things last minute.”
“So, Ms. Rita tried to get me killed?” She asked but she already knew the answer. She felt herself tear up but she told herself that she was done. “I’m not even gonna shed a fucking tear.” She said out loud. “That’s so fucked up.”
“What you going to do?” He asked her.
Giselle thought about it. A part of her wanted revenge. She wanted to go find her guns blazing in the same style of Antwon, but she knew that wasn't smart. Look at Antwon now, he was on the run and no one knew where he was. She didn’t want that life, especially not over Ms. Rita. She wasn’t going to ruin her plans and definitely she wasn’t going to lose her life over it.
“So, what you going to do?” He asked her again.
“I’m getting the fuck out of New York.”
Chapter 8
Lionel swept the wide living room. This house was ten times the size of the apartment that he lived in. He couldn’t believe how much had changed in six months, but then he thought about how his life changed so much in the last two years. He was a different man. He went from struggling to find a job, to drug dealing, and to now being in this house. He knew when he saw this house online that he had to have it. Even though he got it at an auction, he was proud of it. It took some money to repair it, but since he had the money from Antwon, it didn’t hurt his pockets any.
“Wow.” Tasha said as she walked around. “This place looks really nice.” Her heels clicked. “I can’t believe how much it has improved.” She smiled. “It looks like it belongs in some sort of magazine.”
“Damn you know how to make a guy feel good.” He joked grabbing his chest. “Dead ass, I could feel my heart about to leap out.”
“Shut up.” She playfully hit his arm. “But seriously, you did a good job with this.”
“Don’t act like you didn’t help me.”
“I did but damn, it still looks nice.” She took a twirl around. “And speaking of my help, here you are.” She handed him a folder. “With these documents, you can say that you were working at the car rental place with me. So in case they ask you where you got the money…” She left the sentence hanging but he understood what she meant.
“I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate it.” He hugged her. “You always come through for me. I’m so grateful.”
“I know.” She smiled. “Well, I got to go.”
“Hot date?” He asked.
“You know it.” She winked. She walked to the door and as she opened it, Giselle was on the other side.
Giselle looked at the both of them. She immediately hugged Tasha. “Hey! I haven’t seen you in forever!” She smiled. They both started chatting and laughing like old friends. Lionel rolled his eyes.
“There you guys go, cackling like crazy. I thought you had a hot date Tasha, or is it now you want a threesome with the both of us?” He smiled and then opened his jacket. “Because I’m ready baby.”
“Good, Giselle get undressed and you can watch.” She winked again. She then laughed and kissed Giselle on the cheek. “Bye girl.”
Giselle waved goodbye to her friend and then went to playfully hit Lionel, but he moved away at the last second.
“Did you just offer that woman a threesome with us?” She tapped his shoulder.
“What?”
“That will never happen Leo, only in your dreams.” He laughed. “Wow, this house looks great. She said looking at everything. “I hope that everything is perfect.”
“It is.” He reassured her.
“It has to be.”
“I know.”
“And I just can’t wait until-”
Then there was a knock at the door. A very nervous Giselle went to the door. She sighed and then slowly opened it. When she saw Yvette’s smiling face, she calmed down.
“Hey!” She greeted Lionel’s mother with a kiss on the cheek. She let her in and hung up her coat on the hook.
“Thank you.” She greeted Giselle. “I still can’t get over how great this house looks.”
“You know I’m starting to think that you guys thought I would mess this house up.” Lionel said in the background.
“It’s not that at all son, I just can’t believe it all. If it wasn’t for your job at the car rental agency, we wouldn’t be here right now.”
Giselle and Lionel exchanged looks. It killed him to lie to his mom, but the less people knew about his past, the better. He thought back to Antwon not telling him any details that he didn’t want used against him. He thought of Antwon a lot from time to time.
“Yeah, I was only lucky for so long.” He began the story.
“What do you mean?”
“I got let go. A whole bunch of people did. I guess they didn’t have enough money like that for everyone.”
“What? But you were their best guy, how could they let you go?”
“To be honest, it was between me and some guy with kids. I basically told them to choose me.” He gave a half smile to cover up the lie. He hated to do it, but he hoped it would be the last one.
“I’m sorry.” She rubbed her son’s back.
“It’s okay. It did what it needed to do. It helped me to get this place.”
“Well, let’s hope that it all goes well.” Giselle added in. “Because if it doesn’t go okay, this will be for nothing.”
An hour passed by and finally there was a knock on the door. Giselle ran to the door and saw Laura with the rest of the foster kids.
“Come in!” She screamed and let them in. All of their faces were shocked as they looked around. The high ceilings, the wide spaces, the clean and brand new belongings; it all seemed like a dream.
“Is this it?” One of the kids asked. “Is this our house?”
“I hope so.” Yvette kneeled and hugged the children. “I pulled some strings with my friend who is a social worker. If all goes well, I can be your new foster mother. Right now this is where you will be sleeping.”
They all hugged her. Laura watched and smiled. She started tearing up and turned to the side. She thought at first that she would be the one raising the kids, but as she watched Lionel’s mom interact with them, she was glad
she wasn’t. The kids were in a better place. She had a scholarship and a college to go to. Now she knew that when she got there, she could at least be at ease.
Dinner was started and everyone sat at the big table. They were eating, fussing, laughing, and joking. Giselle took a deep breath in, she finally felt that she had a family again. She looked over at Lionel and saw that he was smiling at her. They both were about to start a new chapter in their lives and it felt right.
After dinner, Lionel and Giselle called out to Yvette.
“What is it?” She asked.
“It’s time for us to go.” He told her. He saw her eyes get sad.
“I was hoping that you two would have changed your mind.” She pouted. “Everything is so good now. We have this six bedroom house, so there is plenty of space. We live in Long Island now, so we’re not in the hood of Brooklyn. We are practically gone from all of the drama, why would you leave?” She asked them.
“Because I need to get back to North Carolina. I keep distracting myself here, but I need to go down there to start our life.”
“You just turned eighteen a couple of months ago, but you’re still a child. Don’t you want to stay here any longer?”
“I’m sorry, I can’t. It’s time for me to go.”
“Aw.” She pouted again. “I can’t convince you to stay?” They both shook their head. “But what about my grandbaby? You’re just going to give birth and not tell me?”
Giselle was only a month along, but the way Yvette went about it you would think that she was eight months pregnant.
“The baby won’t be here for a while. Once we get settled in, you can come visit us or we will come here after the baby is born.”
“Why not just have the baby here?” She was being pushy but Giselle just smiled.
“I’m going to miss you.”
“I’m going to miss you too.” She hugged Giselle and felt like she was hugging her daughter. “You take good care of yourself, my son, but especially my grandbaby.”
“Yes I will.”
“And you.” She pointed to her son. “You take care of these ladies.”
“Ladies? We don’t even know what we’re having yet.” Lionel scoffed.
“She’s having a girl.” He was about to say something but she cut him off. “I just know these things.
They left the house and all they heard was the low sounds of children laughing and Yvette calling after them.
“I think that everything is going to be fine.” Giselle smiled at him. He reached and patted her stomach.
“I do too.”
The End
Epilogue
Antwon sat at the bar of the strip club. He hated to admit that he had a weakness for strippers, but there was just something about a curvy woman that just stole his heart. He knew that one curvy woman was the reason why he took a bullet to the leg, but none of that mattered right now. Now all that mattered was the light skin beauty with the wide hips and ample ass that caught his eye. She looked to be flirting with him, but he knew better than that. He just reached in his pockets and threw a bunch of ones at her. She smiled as she let go of the pole to pick them up. She bent completely over and posed just for him.
“It looks like somebody likes you.” The female bartender teased. She was beautiful as well and Antwon smiled at her.
“Oh yeah? She don’t do that shit for every nigga that comes up in here?” He asked as she pulled off her top.
“She dances yes, but she never looks at them like that.” The bartender admitted. She then pulled her purple hair into her ponytail. She washed her hands in the sink. “Where are you from?” She asked as she dried her hands.
“New York City.” He told and then looked back at the stripper climbing the pole. “Brooklyn, New York.”
“Oh yeah? I recognized your accent.”
“It’s funny because I think you have an accent.” He laughed.
“I can’t, because I live here and you don’t.” She teased sticking her tongue out.
“Oh I live here now.” He told her.
“What made you move?”
“I used to always hear about this place so when it was time to go, this was the first place I thought of.”
“You don’t have family out here?”
“No.” He shook his head.
“Friends?”
“No.” He shook his head again. “I left everyone and everybody back in Brooklyn. I’m all alone out here.” He sipped on his beer.
“Not for long.” She pointed behind him.
He turned around and saw the stripper standing behind him. She threw on a baggy shirt, but she still had a thong on. Even with the baggy shirt, there was no hiding that figure.
“Someone sitting here?” She asked about the stool next to him.
“Nope, no one at all.” He pulled it out and she thanked him. “Can I get you a drink?” He signaled for the bartender.
“Yeah.” She smiled. “And you can pay for it too.” She took some of the money that he threw at her. He shook his head and took out a stack.
“Don’t you worry about my wallet baby, there’s plenty more where that came from.”
“Your accent…” She licked her lips. “You not from around here?”
“Nope.” He looked in her eyes. “I’ve only been here for a little while.”
“Do you like North Carolina so far?” She flirted. He looked her up and down. He imagined all the positions he could put her flexible body into.
“I love North Carolina.”

I love morning sex. It’s the most sensual and sexy feeling next to eating the sweetest pie on Earth. Slow grinding on top of Rock, I eased his love pole inside and outside of me as I rose to the top and eased it back down the shaft.
“Yesss baby, get this pipe. Take it all.” Rock moaned as I rode in the reverse cowgirl position with my butt-cheeks popping one by one. “Awww damn, wait, babe, wait.” He couldn’t take it anymore so he grabbed my waist to slow my pace.
“No, let me take you to heaven, daddy.” I moaned as I rose off of him and kneeled down over his body, my lips to his thick and modest eight and a half inches. He peered down at me as I stuck my tongue out and began licking around his balls. I loudly hummed a tune on his sac as I suckled them into my mouth. Rock rocked his hips upwards into my mouth as he began playing in my hair in an attempt to guide my mouth to his shaft.
I took him completely into my mouth and worked him over until I felt his orgasm build. Not liking the taste of his cum in my mouth, I always jacked him off onto my full 36 B breasts.
“Mmm, how was that for you, daddy?” I asked as I rose to grab the paper towels next to the bed.
“It would have been better if you swallowed.” He mumbled under his breath.
“I heard that, jerk.” I playfully swatted Rock with a pillow. “What do you have planned for the day?
“Probably see if I can make a few dollars so I can do some shopping for the kids. I rolled my eyes up. When he said kids, he was not referencing children that we had together, instead he was referring to children he created through all of the times he cheated on me.
“Well, make sure you are not out there getting into more trouble than you need to be.” I shouted at his back as he went into the bathroom to shower.
I got up to find something in the kitchen to snack on. I haven’t been eating quite as much since I lost my job three months ago. We have just barely been getting by without my support in this apartment.
Walking out of the bathroom and right into the kitchen, Rock was on his cell phone. “Nah, you have to come up off of that money you owe me from last w
eek, bruh’. You didn’t even pay me for the dime bag I gave to you three weeks ago because you said you were low on funds.” Rock argued with one of his customers. “Nah, I am not trying to hear that anymore, I need my money before I give you anything else.” He hung up the phone in the caller’s ear.
“Babe, who was that?” I asked. “Don’t tell me that was Kellz from over on Avenue L?”
Rock was pacing the floor while counting his money. “Yea, it was him. I’m tired of his games now. He’s already in the hole for fifty. Now he’s calling asking to hold a fifty spot again until tomorrow.” Rock scrunched up his face in an annoyed way. “Is this dude trippin’ or what?”
I shook my head, used to the stories of Kellz. My man, Rock has been selling marijuana aka weed, aka purp, aka exotic, aka every other name that is different for the greenery, since I met him walking home from high school nearly seven years ago. We were both sixteen at the time. Since that day he came up on me as I was walking with a fresh pair of Orange and Black Jordans on, an Orange Halter top, and laced Black shorts that cupped right underneath of my buttocks. I knew a dude like him couldn’t resist an ass like this. What he didn’t know was that I been had my eyes on him before he even approached me. I wore that outfit purposely for Rock that day, plus it was the last day of school for me. I just knew he would approach a bad chick like me. I heard of his rep in the hood, and for a young thug, he had it on lock on Church Ave.
