“That’s the fun of fucking someone, Krissy. You get to explore them. You get to figure out what they like and introduce them to things they might like even more.” The heat from his hands burned into my skin. “You get to figure out what makes them shake and tremble. How you can pull the most life-changing climax from the depths of their fucking soul. If he’s not doing that for you…he’s not handling you right.” His tongue darted out to wet his lips and I found myself nearly trembling in his grasp.

The sound of kids in the hallway made us break apart. Cool air rushed over the surface of my face and it was only then that I realized how hot I was. I’d never focused on my desk so staunchly before that moment. I noticed every single fleck embedded in the desktop and every nick along the rim.

The entire class period, my thoughts oscillated between thinking about Matt and thinking about Colton. I had to stop thinking about Matt though. He was fine and he was sweet and the way he spoke about making a girl cum made me nearly burst into hungry flames.

  He was only a friend.

He was a friend by default too. If it weren’t for our best friends fucking, we would never be as comfortable as we were with each other. I had to keep myself in check.

“Krissy, can I speak with you?” Matt asked as class dismissed. I waited for the other kids to leave the room, which meant waiting through the group of giggling girls smiling in his face.

“Ladies, if you don’t mind, I have to get ready for second period and I need to speak to Krissy.” He looked past them and over to me. I felt jittery when we locked eyes.

The other girls from homeroom left, chattering amongst themselves and shooting me dirty looks. I wanted to tell them that there was no way in hell Matt would fuck me. He had an entire situation with a married woman that took up his time. I wasn’t on his radar.

“What’s up, Wilmore?” I asked, sitting on his desk.

“You staying after school? I have some papers I need help with and you’ve failed at getting your fellow classmates to stick around.”

“Nobody stayed after?” I quizzed, finding it hard to believe that as fine as he was nobody wanted to stay after school with him.

“A couple of girls did last week. I’m fucking with you. I want to finish our conversation from earlier.”

  “You do?” I smiled.

“I do. Can you stay after or is your man waiting for you?” He was joking but I picked up on a flare of testosterone behind his words.

“He’s not my man,” I sighed. I ran my fingertips over the back of Matt’s hand and he smiled softly. I liked the way his smiles made his cheeks fuller. He looked like a teenager.

“Good. If he’s not making you cum then he shouldn’t be anything to you.” His voice dropped an octave and I felt my pussy throb. My mouth was too dry to speak. “So you’ll come by after school?” I nodded in response and fought the urge to smile. The urge burned the corners of my mouth until I lost the battle and let it spread across my face.

“That’s what I like to see,” he said, staring at me. I hopped off his desk as second period filed in and took their seats, talking amongst themselves.

The end of the day seemed like a magical, far-off place. Minutes ticked by like sludge. I couldn’t wait to talk to Matt. Talking to him was proving to be just as good as sitting on a therapist’s couch.

When the last bell rang, I made a mad dash against the flow of bodies toward the Universal Room. Matt stood at the smartboard, examining an equation. I stood at the doorway, examining him.

He was tall and strong. He wasn’t bulky with muscles but his lines and ridges were well-defined like he worked out regularly. His dark hair fell across his forehead and he pushed it back revealing perfect bone structure.

I knocked on the door after standing there watching his hands fly over the numbers on the board. “Oh, what’s up, Krissy.” He looked happy to see me and the feeling was mutual. “Close the door behind yourself, please.” I pushed the glass-paned doors closed and dropped my backpack on the floor near my desk.

“How was your day?” I asked him, sliding my loafers off. They always hurt my feet. I much preferred being barefoot but the yellow knee socks I wore would work just as well.

“Annoying, if I’m being honest. I swear, I love teaching but some of these kids get on my fucking nerves. They don’t take anything seriously.” His brows knitted together as he stared at the numbers in front of him. I walked over and slid my hands along his strong back. He was so tense. I wanted him to relax a bit.

The moment I touched him, he let his broad shoulders sag. I took the marker from his long fingers and filled in the missing numbers. He looked at me and tugged on one of my French braids then fingered the soft spiral curls at the end.

Every hair on my head became an antenna that sent deliciously soft buzzes rippling against my scalp. It would probably feel amazing if he pulled my hair. It would feel even better if he pulled my hair while he choked me.

  Jesus, Krissy.

  Stop being so slutty.

“You’re an amazing mathematician.” He pulled his fingers away from my hair and I wished he hadn’t. “Maybe you should teach the class. You’re nice to look at and you’re smart.”

“Nice to look at?” I laughed to hide the fact that I was immensely flattered. Like…flattered down to my panties. Which, were getting increasingly wet.

“You’re a pretty girl.” He shrugged like the words meant nothing and I felt my ego deflate a bit. I handed him the marker and stepped away before I became drunk on the scent of his cologne and threw myself at him.

“Can I ask you a question?” He said while handing me stacks of papers to input. I nodded my head, taking my seat. A seat that was away from Matt. “How old is this guy you’re fucking around with?”

“Older. Much, much older,” I snorted.

“How much older are we talking, Krissy? My age? I’m twenty-seven.”

  “Older than you.”

“Shit. How much older?” He stopped working on his papers altogether to stare at me and it felt like a heat lamp was pointed at my face. I burned with lust under his gaze. I didn’t know if I was imagining things but it felt like he was plucking open each button on my shirt with only his eyes.

“He’s in his late thirties.” I cringed when I said it, hiding my face. Matt let out a hearty laugh.

  “How late?” Matt quizzed.

“He’s thirty-nine.” I squirmed in my seat knowing he was judging me.

“He’s thirty-nine and he’s not making you cum? That’s insane. He’s selfish as fuck.” Matt shook his head and walked over to drop another stack of papers onto the pile beside the laptop. I glared at him and he flashed me a smile. It was both handsome and irritating.

“You’re going to have to pay me for this shit after a while,” I quipped.

“Stop whining.” He poked my ribs gently and I swatted his hand away, trying not to blush.

“Now, can I ask you a question?” I said, straightening my back. I tried not to focus on the fact that the spot where Matt touched me was still ablaze.

“Shoot,” he sat behind his desk but I wanted him closer.

He’s a teacher, Krissy and he’s messing with a married woman. Is that who you really want to have a crush on?

“When you’re with your…whatever she is to you. Girlfriend?”

“No. Not my girlfriend.” He said in a sharp tone.

“Okay, what should I call her?”

  “I don’t know…” He huffed.

“Well when you’re with…her…do you make her cum every time? I know women don’t have an orgasm every time we have sex.”

Matt tipped back in his chair and shook his head. His gaze darkened like he was contemplating something. “That’s why I can’t get her to let me breathe,” he grumbled.

“You two are taking a breather?” I sounded too chipper about that. I calmed myself down and turned my attention to the computer in front of me.

“I’m trying to. She won’t let
me though.” He exhaled and tapped an ink pen on the desk. “To answer your question though, yes. She cums whenever we’re together.”

I was so fucking jealous. Maybe I could get Colton to take his time with me. He was amazing when we fucked I just wanted it to end with me shaking and trembling. I wanted all the things Matt talked about.

“Lucky,” I muttered. I took a stack of papers to Matt’s desk and plopped them down.

“Who the fuck is this guy, Krissy? I have to know. You’re seventeen years old. You don’t just stumble across forty-year-old men.”

  “He’s thirty-nine,” I corrected.

  “Close enough,” he shrugged.

“I can’t tell you who he is,” I said. If he knew I was fucking my father’s best friend he would definitely judge me. Well…maybe not. I mean he was fucking a married woman. I still cared about how he looked at me though. I cared what Matt thought.

“You do know I’m not here to judge, right?” It was like he could look directly into my thoughts. I shrugged my shoulders and walked around to his side of the desk, sitting on the edge. Any excuse to inch closer to him. I tried not to, but I liked his energy. It pulled me in.

“You gonna tell me or am I going to have to tickle it out of you?” He flexed his fingers and I laughed a little, pushing him back in his chair. His long fingers found the hem of my skirt and he tugged a little.

“Okay, if I tell you who he is, you have to tell me who you’re fucking,” I negotiated. He contemplated it for a while as he toyed with my skirt. My heart thundered to life in my chest each time his knuckles grazed my thigh.

  Calm the hell down, Krissy.

“Deal. I trust you,” he said with a nod. Those three words made me smile.

“You know my uncle? My dad’s best friend?” His eyes widened with recognition.

“Shit, Krissy. He’s the guy you’re fucking?” He let the hem of my skirt go and slid his fingers through his hair.

“Yeah. You’d think he knew how to please a woman, right?” I grumbled.

“He’s not thinking about you,” Matt said focused on a spot beyond me. “He’s fucking you but he’s not in it for you. Not for the reasons you’re thinking.”

I couldn’t pretend that it didn’t sting hearing Matt’s words. I stood up and walked over to my desk. “Well, what reasons would he have for being with me if he didn’t actually care at least a little?” I tried to swallow the thick knot in my throat but it wouldn’t budge.

“You’re…” His green eyes found my curves then he dragged his gaze to my eyes. “You’re not shaped like a lot of girls your age. I can’t really say it without sounding like a creep.”

“Rip the Band-Aid off, Matt.” I was starting to get agitated and it wasn’t exactly with Matt. I didn’t want to deal with the thought that Colton might have just been fucking me because I was hot.

“You’re sexy as fuck, Krissy. I’m sure all he’s thinking about is your body. He’s not thinking about what a great girl you are. If that’s what you want, then good for you. Scratch your itch. If you’re looking for more though…look somewhere else, baby girl.”

Contrasting thoughts and emotions swarmed me.

The way Matt called me baby girl made me feel hungry and thirsty and any other form of feeling empty and in need of satiation. The fact that he told me Colton was more than likely a douche bag, scraped against my feelings and made me clam up.

I sat down at my desk in silence for the next twenty minutes, working. Matt groaned and walked over to me, closing the laptop. “I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”

“I was working on something,” I said, my voice flat.

“And now you’re not,” he countered.

“You didn’t hurt my feelings,” I lied, folding my arms across my chest.

“Did you want honesty, Krissy? Or did you want me to lie to you about why you’re fucking a guy old enough to be your father and he’s still incapable of making you cum when he’s inside of you?”

My heart skipped a few beats. The moment was heady. Hearing Matt talk about anything…anyone being inside of me made me lightheaded. I focused on the constellations on his walls. I focused on the deep blues and purples punctuated with bursts of white stars.

When I felt his fingers tip my chin upward, my eyes fluttered shut. “I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, Krissy,” he said again. I opened my eyes and nodded.

“It’s fine.” My voice was nearly a whisper.

He pulled up a chair beside me and I could smell his cologne. It made my mouth water. “Use him and then be done. Don’t get your heart caught up in it. He doesn’t deserve that.” I let his words sink in.

“Thank you for telling me the truth, Matt.” I reached out and laced my fingers between his. “Now, you owe me something,” I smirked at him and he eyed me quizzically.

“I owe you something?” He stretched his long arm out and grabbed graded papers from his desk then held them out for me. When I went to take them, he yanked them away and flashed a boyish grin that made his emerald eyes twinkle.

“Stop being a dick,” I pouted.

“You didn’t get spanked much as a child did you?” He quizzed, tricking me again by offering me the papers then taking them away.

  “No. My parents didn’t spank.”

“You have a nasty mouth. Someone should have spanked you…” his words torched my insides. He finally handed me the papers and our fingertips touched. I thought we’d burn the fucking school down.

“Tell me who she is,” I blurted, suddenly remembering why I couldn’t get too consumed with thoughts and fantasies of Matt. He had a situation. “That’s what you owe me, remember?”

“Right.” He nodded and I snatched the papers from him, sticking my tongue out.

“I really need you to keep this between us. It can’t go outside our little circle, got it?” He aimed his pointer finger at me and I held up my hand as if I were swearing on a bible.

“I don’t really talk to too many people anyway.” I gave a slight shrug.

“I’m fucking…” he glanced around the empty classroom like someone would pop out of a closet or something. “Principal Palmer’s wife.”

I slapped my hand down on the desk and hopped up. The tea he spilled left third-degree burns on me. “What!” I squeaked with big eyes.

“Krissy, shut the hell up,” he chuckled, standing as well. He eclipsed me in an instant.

“I can’t believe you’re fucking Palmer’s wife, Matt. What the fuck are you thinking? You could get fired!”

“You don’t think I know that?”

“Is her pussy that good? Jesus Christ.” I shook my head and paced the floor. I had more than nervous energy. I had jealous energy. Matt was making her cum every day. He was talking to her on the phone and going to see her.

  She was lucky.

Why was I jealous though? It’s not like I could be with him. He didn’t want me.

“It’s pretty damn good,” he smirked at me but I didn’t return the expression. He rubbed the back of his neck and watched me walk back and forth. Finally, he put his hands on my shoulders and stopped me from moving. “I know it’s stupid and risky. I’m stepping back from her for a little while so I can sort my thoughts.”

“Do you love her?” I asked in a hushed voice. Matt’s fingers found the ends of my braids again while we looked at each other.

  “No. I don’t love her.”

“Does she love you?” Another quietly whispered question.

“She thinks she cares but I’m almost positive she’s done this with other guys plenty of times. I think she loves the sex.”

“I think we’re in similar situations,” I noted.

“I think you’re right.” His eyes traced the features of my face, making my temperature skyrocket. The way he looked at me was pure electricity and it made me hum just the same. “Let’s finish this work. I know you want to get back home. Is your…uncle still there?” he asked.

  “No. He’s not.
He’s coming by this evening though. It’ll be good to make him wait for a little while,” I said looking at the hazel around Matt’s irises.

  “Yeah…it’ll be good,” he agreed.

I noticed when he moved his things over to where I was sitting. We sat beside each other in silence for the next hour. Neither of us spoke but the way our arms and knees rested against one another shouted to the heavens.

I wanted to bring the heavens down and manifest those shouts in reality. I was drowning with the desire to kiss the beautiful man beside me. The man with eyes like emerald daggers, a smile like the stars, and energy like the sun.

Instead, I worked with my head down and my arm and knee pressed against his. The small gesture said all the things I wanted to but couldn’t.

  **

I walked into the house and grinned from ear to ear when I heard my father’s deep laugh in the kitchen. I expected to lay eyes on him and Colton having a few beers. Instead, I found him and Nadia laughing it up over something he was showing her on his phone.

Her head was tilted to one side and their middles touched while his arm snaked around her waist. Did she have to be that fucking close to him to look at his phone? I cleared my throat and folded my arms across my chest. The fact that they moved away from each other let me know something was amiss.

My blood grew hot and I glared at them both. “What’s so funny? I want to laugh.” I sounded lighthearted but that couldn’t have been further from the truth.

  “Nothing, Krissy,” Dad answered.

“Doesn’t sound like nothing. It sounded hilarious. So hilarious you two had to be standing right up against each other in this big ass kitchen.”

“Krissy,” Dad growled at my language and I rolled my eyes.

“I have to get back to polishing the silver.” Nadia turned to the counter and started wiping spoons.

“Hey, Bella.” Mom walked over to me with bags in her hands. She kissed my cheek and I took the groceries from her, never once missing the chance to glare at Nadia.

“Everything okay in here? Feels a bit stiff,” Mom chuckled as she put things on the counter.
