Myths and Legends

I got sick for awhile and quit writing, but when I started back, wow what a ride. I have thirteen books planned in this universe at the moment and I have six in my paranormal urban fantasy with a dash of romance series. (Safe Haven Wolves) - (Still have one of those left to write at the time I put these words down.)

I hope you enjoyed this book, I hope you come back for more. You see, I write in more than one genre, but these books, they are my passion. And do you know how you keep an author putting out books? Give them a good review. We use those reviews to help others find our books, we use them to promote the books, but most importantly we use them to determine if the readers liked the story we gave them.

I have a friend who writes apocalyptic dystopia and she wrote one book and the book did not sell, and the reviews, while good, well there were not many of them, so instead of putting out book 2 she shelved the idea and started a new series. The books just started selling for some reason and at the time of this writing the second book in her series was up on Amazon for pre-order. If you don’t let us know you love the books and want more, we will ditch it to find one the readers may fall in love with. You see, this is more than a job to us, writing books is for many a dream others can never hope to realize. But we can’t live the dream if we write books no one wants to read.

But we wouldn’t realize our dreams without our readers. So thank you again for picking up this book and giving it a chance.

The series will not only have 13 books, but spin-offs are in the works for other races and other characters. I hope you come along for the journey and grab the next book, and then the next one.

This book was previously published as Chasing Shadows and Myths and Legends. But Amazon would not link the two together as one series, they have strict rules about linking books and I did not meet all the criteria. I will this go round. Plus I added Dragon Secrets in just because I wanted to.

I have to give special thanks to Michael Anderle. I have thought and dreamed about writing this world for over a decade but until I stumbled across Michael’s The Kurtherian Gambit world, all it was, was a dream. Michael has a way of encouragement that inspires. I mentioned to him on FaceBook one night that I wanted to write…. his words were, “get off the computer and write 500 words.” I wrote 700 words before my characters had a mini revolt and I ended up having to write book 4, with an entire new set of characters, to keep my characters in Myths and Legends happy.

  A little extra detail

I had a few comments from my beta readers wondering why the four leaders can be so old yet be so childish at the same time. Picture if you will, being tied to someone impulsive, someone who can not see wrong in what they do. Now imagine being magically bonded to that person and having to lead an entire race for thousands of years. We get aggravated at our leaders after just a few years, sometimes before they even take office. But magic ties these four men to lead whether they want to or not, and in Darian’s case, he does not want to be a leader. He knows deep down he just does not think as others think, and he knows he should not be in the position of leadership. But, you have to remember, this is a magical race, and if you keep following the story of Darian and the others, one day you will find that the Shadow Goddess may just have a reason for creating someone like Darian.

Have I kept your interest? Did I make you laugh? I certainly hope so because rereading the story made me laugh. “We have no white fluffy dog.” I hope you are looking forward to finding out whether they do indeed leave the planet, or whether, now that you know there is a goddess involved, will she be stepping in to save her precious race?

Who will be the first one to go through the portal? Can they even go through the portal? How long before this goddess I just told you about makes an appearance? So many questions I plan on answering, one book at a time.
