Faith's Revenge (New Reality Series, Book Four)
Page 5
As she placed her pillow on the hard slab of a bed and unfolded the thin blanket, a muscular older woman plucked up the pillow, declaring, “Mine!”
Faith noticed many of the conversations that had stopped earlier, now restarted. This must have been what the others were waiting for. Faith was angry and wanted to fight back, but she’d never physically fought anyone in her life…ever.
She turned to look at the woman who stood over her challengingly. The woman could have once been pretty, but her scowl appeared to have become a permanent fixture a long time ago. The lines on her face made her look a lot older than what could be only thirty years. Faith thought she recognized the woman from the Resistance.
From three rows way, an older woman called out. “Carrie, leave the girl alone!”
“Mind your own business, you old hag!” Carrie yelled in return, not taking her eyes off Faith. Carrie held out her hand, looking pointedly at Faith’s blanket.
Faith clutched the blanket tightly to her body, making Carrie grin and approach closer. Faith leaned back and tried to curl into a ball.
Carrie dropped the pillow and pinned Faith’s arms to the bed as she straddled her. She leaned her face close to Faith’s and whispered, “I said give me the blanket too.”
Actually you didn’t, but Faith decided to keep that thought to herself.
Carrie bounced on top of Faith playfully and smiled. “You’re a cute one.” She released Faith’s hands and pinched her nipples through her smock, twisting them.
“Ouch!” Faith exclaimed as she tried to bat Carrie’s hands away.
Carrie laughed at Faith’s futile efforts as she rose, grabbing the blanket and the pillow. Then Carrie flopped onto her own bunk as a thin girl in her early twenties scampered over and joined her.
“Is that for me?” the girl asked as she straddled Carrie’s leg.
“Yeah, baby.” Carrie positioned the girl, pushing her down by her hips.
“Mmmm.” The girl groaned as she started to hump Carrie’s leg. She leaned her face into Carrie’s neck, spreading her thick blonde hair in Carrie’s face.
Carrie pressed her nose into it, sniffing the girl’s hair as she wrapped an arm around her, holding her close.
Faith openly watched the two. She had nothing else to do.
Carrie glanced over at Faith and smiled with seemingly honest pleasure.
Faith was surprised by Carrie’s happiness. She figured this awful human being, who walked around angry, hurting people and taking their pillows and blankets, couldn’t possibly experience joy.
The girl humping Carrie’s leg went through the process of having a fake orgasm. A hurt expression briefly crossed Carrie’s face as she pulled the girl closer to her chest. The girl fought free and pushed herself up, smiling at Carrie who quickly recovered herself and grinned back.
Faith almost felt sorry for Carrie…almost.
It occurred to Faith she knew where Carrie was from and how she could get her revenge.
The girl grabbed the pillow and reached for the blanket, but Carrie clutched it, denying her. A frown crossed the girl’s face, and she glanced at Faith with an accusatory glare before giving Carrie a peck on the lips and scampering back toward her bunk.
Carrie sighed and stretched out on her side, facing Faith. She seemed to consider Faith for a moment then tossed Faith’s blanket back toward her.
“I’ll get you another pillow,” she said.
Chapter Five
Faith looked at Carrie evenly, feeling the power inside herself. She was not helpless after all. With her ability to read people’s emotions so well, she could hurt…or help with just her words. She wanted to hold back, but she was still angry with Carrie for violating her.
“Your mother Kelly and your father must be worried about you,” Faith said to Carrie, now that she’d remembered where she’d seen her.
Faith had been about twelve when Carrie and her parents visited Faith’s house a few times for Resistance meetings. Carrie had been rather large for her age back then, and her haggard adult face barely resembled her face from her youth. The years had been hard on her.
The inner pain reflected in Carrie’s eyes made Faith want to relent, but instead, she drove the knife in deeper. “I wonder if they would be proud that you’re now stealing pillows for a dry hump?” Instantly, she knew she’d gone too far as Carrie leaped from her bed with clenched fists.
Faith shrank back. She could take a beating; she’d endured much worse. At least she’d hurt Carrie in return.
Carrie drew back her fist as if to hit Faith, but she stopped short. Then she turned and hit the frame of her own bunk bed instead. It made a loud rattle, and she flopped back on the bed, rubbing her sore hand.
Faith studied the other woman. Making Carrie feel worse than herself hadn’t been satisfying in the least.
“I remember you now,” Carrie finally said. “I used to play with your dolls.”
Faith was drawn back to those innocent days. Times had been hard for the family back then, but as a poor kid in a poor neighborhood, she hadn’t had anything to compare her life to.
“Are you still with the Resistance?” Faith tentatively asked.
“The Resistance is stupid,” Carrie said with finality.
Faith was speechless. Carrie’s parents had been as prominent in the Resistance as Faith’s. Was this all that remained of the Resistance, all their children locked up in detention camps?
“You just gave up?” Faith blurted, unable to stop her words from tumbling out.
Carrie turned to look at Faith, tears welling in her eyes. “Are you stupid? We’re all going to spend years in the labor camps if we’re not interrogated to death.”
“I’m not giving up,” Faith said, the words surprising her, but she wasn’t going to give up. She had her brother to protect and Trake. “I’m going to escape soon…I hope.”
Carrie rolled her head and stared at the bottom of the bunk over her head. “How?” she asked unexpectedly.
Faith had thought Carrie would just mock her. “There are very few guards. If we all make a run for it, they can’t stop us.”
Carrie raised herself on her elbows and glanced around the room at the chaos. Returning Faith’s gaze, she shook her head. Then she rolled over with her back to Faith. “I’ll get you another pillow.”
“No. Don’t. I won’t need it. I’m leaving, remember?”
“I almost believe you,” Carrie replied over her shoulder.
Blocking out the noise around her, Faith lay on her bed and stared at the bunk above her as she ran through plans in her mind.
After a long while, Faith realized it had to be past midnight as the moon rose in the night sky, but the lights were still on in the dorm room. If Faith were a sadistic prison administrator, she’d do something similar to keep the prisoners confused and tired.
Finally, much later, a noticeable hush came over the room, and Faith closed her eyes, hoping to grab at least a few moments of sleep. Instead, firm hands shook her roughly. A wave of fear coursed through her as she looked at the two guards leering over her.
Recognizing Lyna from the shower, she wondered if this meant good news or bad.
She glanced at Carrie as the guards forcibly pulled Faith away. Carrie returned Faith’s gaze with a worried expression, as if she expected to never see Faith again.
Moonlight illuminated the yard, as Faith was shoved toward a wooden utility building. Fear made her steps clumsy, and she stumbled through the gravel.
The second guard, with Pala on her nametag, snickered at Lyna. “You are a perverted freak. I should report you.”
Lyna eyed Pala. “Just because you talk to men in the shed, you would still lose your job.”
“But at least the Morality Courts wouldn’t be involved,” Pala fired back.
Apparently sex on the job even between opposite genders was prohibited in the camp, but the punishment was merely a lost job, not death. Faith wondered briefly it there’d ever be a sexual
revolution in this century, but that would first require a more extensive uprising to overthrow the existing government and its Morality Courts.
“Have your fun, but you owe me.” Pala walked away as Lyna pushed Faith inside the shed.
When the door closed, Faith’s eyes adjusted to the darkness in the small room, which contained a few simple tables, benches and chairs. The room looked as if it was used daily. Was it a playroom for the guards and their prisoners?
Faith quickly regained her composure and ran her hand over the simple cheap furniture as she waited for Lyna to make the first move. Turning around, she saw Lyna with her back against the door, contemplating her with a quizzical expression. Faith stopped pacing and crossed her palms in front of her waist in what she intended to be an alluring pose and stared at Lyna expectantly.
Lyna grunted and slowly moved toward Faith. Sweat beaded on her forehead, and she furrowed her brow. Cocking her head to one side, she peered at Faith.
She wasn’t very attractive, Faith thought to herself, but that would change in a moment, as Faith unleashed her talent at finding something to desire in the other woman.
“You want the information about your brother and the Aristo,” Lyna said, but not as a question. She waited for a response, her eyes lit with expectation, but there was also fear there…so much fear.
That wasn’t too unusual for someone who was afraid of being caught committing deviant behavior, but the amount of fear Faith saw in this woman almost broke Faith’s heart.
She reached out and gently pulled Lyna into her arms. The emotion Faith was feeling was real, and Lyna could feel it too. Her cautious stiffness instantly melted, and she surrendered to Faith’s embrace.
This was the point where Faith usually performed enough to make the clients happy, enough so they would come back. However, this time, Faith would need more from Lyna; she would need Lyna to help her escape. Faith would pull Lyna in as deeply as she could and give her the most mind-blowing experience she would ever have. Lyna would discover things she had never known about herself, and she would fall in love with Faith…then, she would do anything Faith asked.
Faith loosened her embrace and gently tilted Lyna’s chin up with her hand, looking her directly in the eyes. Their mouths were so close, and Lyna’s lips were slightly parted, her eyes pleading for a kiss, another embrace, anything, just to be loved. Faith honestly wanted to kiss Lyna, her talent of surrendering to love pulling her in closer to the other woman.
“Tell me,” Faith gently commanded.
Lyna didn’t move, as if she were afraid to spoil the moment. “Your brother is scheduled to be released tomorrow. The Aristo is gone, picked up by the Marshall’s office.” She spoke hurriedly, apparently wanting to get the business out of the way.
Faith tried to maintain her composure as she quickly considered the information. Lyna wasn’t lying; she was sure of that. Deja had saved Trake; not that Faith was surprised. He was safe, but her brother being released could only mean one thing. He was a snitch. But he would live, that was all that mattered. Now, the only remaining thing she needed to do was escape.
Back to business.
“Thank you, baby,” Faith said, closing the short distance between her and Lyna and placing a kiss on the hot, full lips of the woman. She kissed hard with barely restrained passion, slipping her tongue hungrily into Lyna’s mouth.
Lyna melted into Faith, clearly more submissive than Faith. Though she didn’t prefer the dominant role, Faith instinctively knew what Lyna needed. She broke the kiss and gently pushed Lyna away.
“W-what?” Lyna’s hurt eyes searched Faith’s.
Faith softly smiled as she pulled her smock over her head and shoved down her underwear, kicking them free of her feet.
Lyna’s face opened into an uncontrolled grin, her eyes lighting up even more. Her excitement engulfed the room and washed over Faith. She looked into Lyna’s eyes, feeling her pleasure, sharing it. Faith loved when a session got to this point, and she locked into a pleasure feedback loop with her partner. In the back of her mind, she knew Lyna would do anything to have this feeling again.
“I want to see you as you see me,” Faith hissed as she sat on a nearby table and spread her legs, opening herself to Lyna’s gaze.
A worried look crossed Lyna’s face as she nervously glanced around.
What did she think was going to happen with her clothes on? Perhaps Lyna hadn’t actually planned for Faith to come through?
Lyna’s large chest heaved and her hands visibly shook as she slowly unbuttoned her uniform, seemingly self-conscious of her overweight body.
Faith licked her lips in anticipation of wrapping her mouth around the nipples of the woman’s heavy breasts. She could easily imagine how that would be a dream come true for Lyna and send her into heaven. Faith also knew another thing that would send Lyna over the edge.
“Show me your tits and get over here!” Faith demanded.
Lyna hurried to comply, obviously relieved at the command.
“Get on your knees.”
Lyna lowered herself to the floor and stared at Faith’s sex for a moment before looking up into Faith’s eyes, waiting for the next command.
“You want my pussy, don’t you?”
Lyna nodded.
“Say it. Say you want my pussy!”
Lyna swallowed visibly and cleared her throat. “I want your pussy.”
Faith grinned and gently ran her hand through Lyna’s hair.
The guard closed her eyes and leaned into Faith’s touch.
“I want to lick your pussy too,” Faith said.
Lyna trembled and squeezed her eyes closed harder until tears appeared. Both women waited for Lyna’s tremor to pass. When she gazed up at Faith with moist eyes, Faith smiled back tenderly.
“Go ahead, baby,” Faith said. Her engorged sex pulsated with her wet heat.
Lyna pressed her face between Faith’s legs and hungrily probed with her tongue.
Being in command of the situation had so thoroughly excited Faith, an orgasm immediately rocketed through her, but her ecstasy was short-lived as a loud knocking interrupted the moment.
“Lyna! They’re looking for the prisoner!” Pala yelled through the door.
* * * *
Faith’s eyes darted wildly around as she was thrust into a chair and handcuffed to the table in the center of the small room. She recognized the investigator who had arrested her, and a feeling of cold dread washed over her.
What could he want? She knew nothing, but she doubted he would believe her.
After staring at her for over a minute without saying anything, the investigator coldly said, “Hello, Faith.” He crossed his arms over his chest apparently trying to look casual, as if he hadn’t held a gun to her head just hours earlier.
“Hello, Investigator,” she replied, trying to sound equally as casual.
Van Owen uncrossed his arms, eyes widening as if any response from her at all were unexpected. Lines marred his forehead as he began to pace. Suddenly, he stopped and opened the door. “Bring in the boy!”
Faith squeezed her eyes shut. This was what she’d been afraid of. She had ruined Collin’s chance of being released tomorrow by getting herself captured. They were going to use Collin to get her to talk. She would talk, if she knew anything important. All she could offer was that her brother led a small Resistance cell. Of course, he would have already told them that as part of his deal as a snitch. She had nothing else to give them; all the top people she had known in the Resistance were long dead.
She’d heard of the interrogation tactics. They held your loved one before you and slowly tortured him until you talked, and you would, if you could…but she had no information.
Her gut seized and she had to remind herself to take a deep breath. This wasn’t going to go well for her or Collin. The fright on his face tore at her heart as the guards brought him in the room handcuffed.
“But we had a deal!” Collin exclaimed. He turned and lo
oked at Faith, realizing her presence. “Faith?” he said as he was shoved into a chair and handcuffed to the opposite side of the table.
“Collin!” Faith called out helplessly.
* * * *
In a mournful daze, Faith curled up on her bed in the women’s dorm.
Collin was gone.
Her mind couldn’t comprehend what to do next, and she’d simply clung to her mattress for over an hour and cried.
She’d tried to confess to the inspector, but she could only lie. It had been too easy for the man to verify when she gave him fake names. He’d been enraged because her confession meant nothing without a single verifiable fact other than her brother. Then the investigator had lost control and killed Collin…right in front of Faith.
She imagined walking up to a guard and grabbing his electro stick and beating him with it until he was a bloody pulp. Squeezing her eyes tightly shut, she leaked tears as she pictured the prisoners rising up and running for the exits. The guards wouldn’t be able to stop them, and the entire horrible detention camp would burn to the ground.
Her breath shuddered through her chest.
It was her fault. It was all her fault…if only she hadn’t tried to rescue her brother. Collin had made a deal. He would have been a snitch, but he’d still be alive. And Trake? All he’d tried to do was help her. The investigator had confirmed that he’d been released into the Marshall’s custody, which meant Deja surely had him. Hopefully, she would keep him safe.
Faith knew the investigator would try again, and the next time he would kill her when she couldn’t provide information.
Suddenly, a pair of hands yanked her out of bed.
She wouldn’t open her eyes; she wouldn’t help them kill her, but she was too weak and too tired to fight back. This was it; it would finally be over. She had nothing to live for anyway.
Strong hands lifted her up and threw her over the shoulder of a large woman in a fireman’s carry.
Faith recognized Lyna’s scent. It was a further jab in her heart that they’d sent Lyna to fetch her. She’d liked this guard.
Faith finally opened her eyes when Lyna gently set her in a chair. They were in the same room in the shed the guard had brought Faith to earlier.
