  “Yeah, sure,” Cole replies.

They sit down at the dinner table and James says, “Well, I prepared everything and if you want to, then the funeral could take place tomorrow.”

Cole takes a deep breath and Vanessa puts her hand on his shoulder. “Yeah, that’s fine with me. But can I still see her before we bury her?”

“Of course, you can. I don’t know who you all want to invite, but then everyone who was close to Julia can see her before the rest joins us as well,” James replies.

“That would be nice,” Vanessa says.

  “Yes, I agree,” Cole says.

“And do you want it to take place in the morning or in the evening?”

“I think it’s better if we do it in the evening. That way we will have enough time to invite everyone and prepare,” Cole replies.

Vanessa nods and James says, “Alright, then I will make sure everything will be ready and then I will see you guys tomorrow evening.”

They all get up and Cole replies, “Before you go, I got a couple of questions.”

“Alright, what do you want to ask?”

“Well, first, as you can see we got a lot of materials to built with, but we still don’t know who gave it to us. So, was it you?”

  “No, it wasn’t me.”

“So, who was it then? Who would want to help us beside you and my brother?” Vanessa asks James.

“Sorry, but I have no idea,” James replies.

“It doesn’t matter. Anyway, my next question is, could you invite Sparks, Igor, and Vlad? With magical messages, you know. And, I haven’t heard anything from Vlad anymore since the fight with Conrad. Maybe you could also ask Igor if he saw him or something,” Cole says.

“I will make sure that they will get an invitation and I will ask Igor if he can look for Vlad, don’t worry. Well then, I really have to go again. I will pick you up here tomorrow evening and take you to the spot where the funeral will take place.”

“That’s fine, thank you,” Cole replies, as he shakes hands with James.

Vanessa gives James a hug and says, “Thank you, see you tomorrow.”

James then spreads his arms, closes his eyes and disappears into thin air. Cole looks at Vanessa and says, “I was waiting for this to happen, you know, to finally bury my mother and give her peace. But now that it is so close, I’m not sure how to feel anymore. I guess rebuilding this town took my mind off it, but… I don’t know.”

Vanessa hugs him and replies, “I understand. Trust me, it will be hard. Burying someone is like the last and final goodbye, but like you said, she will finally be at peace. And next to that, she will be reunited with your father again.”

Cole gives her a kiss and says, “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Alright, well, if you could call Brian then I will go tell my pack to take a break from today and tomorrow. And invite them all of course.”

“That’s fine, see you soon then.”

They give each other one more kiss and then Cole walks out of the house and Vanessa picks up the phone and calls Brian.

The next day, close to the evening, Cole, who is wearing a black suit, is standing in front of the mirror in his bedroom, adjusting his tie. Then Vanessa comes walking in, with a beautiful black dress on, and gently pushes Cole away from the mirror. “I was just adjusting my tie, I can’t do that without looking in the mirror.”

“Sorry, but tell me, does this dress look good?” Vanessa asks, while she looks in the mirror at her dress.

Cole smiles and replies, “You look gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.”

“Thank you, slimeball,” Vanessa says with a smile, as she then adjusts Cole’s tie.

Cole laughs, gives her a kiss and Vanessa asks, “How are you feeling?”

“I honestly don’t know,” Cole sighs.

“I know it’s hard, trust me. But I will be here for you, always.”

Right at that moment, the doorbell goes. “I will go,” Cole says, as he goes down the stairs.

“I will come down soon!” Vanessa shouts.

“Alright, alright,” Cole replies, as he opens the front door.

Brian, who is wearing a white suit, is standing in front of the door with two other men in white suits and the twin sisters. Cole and Brian hug each other and Brian asks, “Good to finally see you again, how are you feeling?”

“Don’t really know, it’s still hard to think about the fact that we are going to bury my mother.”

  “I know, I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay, I’m glad you came.”

“Of course, that’s what friends do. Anyway, I brought some people with me, I hope that’s not a problem.”

  “Of course not, come in.”

Cole lets them all in and they walk into the living room. Vanessa comes walking into the living room as well and Brian immediately hugs her. “So good to see you again, sister! You look beautiful, how are you?”

“Thank you, and I’m good. What about you? How is our pack holding up with you being in command?”

With a smile, Brian replies, “Very good actually, but it has been really busy.”

  “And what about our father?”

“I actually live in our old house now, he went away to god knows where and I don’t expect him to return anytime soon.”

“Really? He just left?” Cole asks.

“Yes, but it doesn’t matter. Everything is going great without him now so, I don’t miss him.”

Vanessa hugs the other two men from her pack as well but doesn’t hug the twin sisters. It is getting awkwardly quiet but then one twin sister says, “I’m sorry for everything, I hope you can forgive us and that we can move on.”

The other twin sister nods and Vanessa hesitates for a while, but then gives them both a hug. “Don’t worry, let’s just forgive and forget.”

Brian looks at Cole and whispers, “Thank god.”

Cole laughs, but then a small tornado appears in the kitchen! “Well, looks like Sparks is coming as well,” Cole says.

Sparks steps out of the tornado and the tornado disappears. He walks into the living room as well and with a bright smile he says, “How is everybody?! Oh, sorry, now is not really a good time I guess. Sorry, I’m just excited to see you guys again.”

Cole walks towards him and with a smile, he shakes Sparks his hand and says, “It doesn’t matter, good to see you too again.”

Sparks then hugs Vanessa, shakes hands with Brian and with the rest. “So, how is everything in London?” Vanessa asks.

“Pretty good, I’m working on something really exciting! I have been practicing my magic a lot and I’m sure, if I can make it work, that you will all be very pleased with the result!”

Visibly confused, Cole asks, “So, what is it you’re working on?”

“I can’t tell you guys just yet, but it is something big!”

  “Why not?” Brian asks.

“Because I want it to be a big surprise!”

“Okay, but when will it be finished then?” Vanessa asks.

“I’m not quite sure yet, but I will do my best to complete it as soon as possible!”

“Alright then, I can’t wait,” Cole replies. “Anyway, take a seat, everybody. I will pour in some drinks and we will wait until the rest gets here as well.”

They all take a seat while Cole and Vanessa give them all a glass of whiskey and then sit down as well.

The hours fly by and it’s already getting close to the evening and darker outside. All the brown werewolves, about sixty in human form, have gathered up in front of Cole’s house. Cole, Vanessa, Brian, Sparks, and the twin sisters and the two other men go out of the house and step onto the front porch. They all look at Cole and Cole says, “Alright, everybody, James can arrive at any moment now and when he does, he will take me, Vanessa, Brian, Sparks, Igor, and Vlad, if they show up, to the location where the funeral will take place first. After that, one of us will pick you all up and take you to the location. In the meanwhile, just be sure to wait here.

The brown werewolves nod and continue talking with each other. David and his grandpa walk up to Cole and the rest and introduce themselves. Then David’s grandpa says to Brian while shaking his hand, “I assume you are the new alpha of the white werewolves, and also the brother of this lovely lady of course.”

Vanessa smiles and Brian replies, “That’s right, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Oh, the pleasure is all mine,” David’s grandpa replies.

Right at that moment, all the brown werewolves get quiet and look at Igor and James who are standing a couple of feet away from them. With a smirk, Igor says, “What’s the problem, dogs? Never seen someone as handsome as myself?”

“It’s alright, everyone,” Cole says, as he, Vanessa, Brian, and Sparks walk over to James and Igor.

Igor looks at them and says, “Good evening, friends.”

“I’m surprised you even showed up,” Vanessa replies.

“I might be rude, and sometimes I may look like I don’t care about anything, which is almost always the case, but Julia was a good person, so I wasn't going to miss this. And by the way, you should be thankful. You too, Cole.”

  “Why is that?” Cole asks.

“Let’s just say, that this town couldn’t have been rebuild without me.”

  “No way,” Vanessa replies.

“So, it was you. I honestly didn’t expect that,” Cole says.

“Well, friend, I’m just full of surprises,” Igor replies with a smirk.

“I can see that, well, thank you,” Cole replies, as he then looks at James.

James nods and asks, “Are you ready?”

Cole takes a deep breath and replies, “Yes, I am.”

“Alright then, follow me,” James says, as he walks towards the forest.

Cole and the rest follow James while the brown werewolves, including David and his grandpa, the twin sisters, and the two other white werewolves, wait in front of Cole’s house. A long walk later through the forest, Brian and Igor are walking behind the rest, but then Brian slows down a bit. Igor slows down as well and asks, “Is there something you need to get off your chest, friend?”

  “Actually, there is.”

“And I’m guessing that the reason you’re slowing down is because you don’t want them to hear it?”

“Yes, that’s right. So please, keep your voice down.”

Igor laughs and replies, “Let me guess, you found an excuse to drink my blood again.”

Brian is visibly confused and says, “How did you know? But just for the record, it’s not the same as before. I mean, it’s not the same reason.”

“Because I know everything, friend. And don’t worry, I don’t care one bit about what the reason may be. But, to be honest, I knew you would come back to me, begging me for a little sip of my blood.”

  “No! it’s not like that!”

“You might want to tone your voice down a bit, friend. I thought you didn’t want them to hear about it.”

“I know!” Brian sighs. “It’s just… it’s stressful being the alpha. I have to take care of everything and everyone is depending on me, and on top of that, soon I also got a company to run with Cole. I just need some of your blood to prevent me from going insane, I guess. Just… just to calm myself down a bit so I can keep everything under control.”

“No problem, friend. We will discuss it after the funeral.”

Brian nods and then they catch up to the rest again. Vanessa looks at Cole, grabs his hand and says, “I am here for you, and so is the rest.”

Cole looks at her and smiles, but his smile quickly disappears again! He stops and shouts, “Wait!”

Everyone stops, and Cole immediately walks over to Igor. “What did I do wrong this time, friend?”

  “Nothing, but where is Vlad?”

“Ah, that little weasel. Sorry, couldn’t find him.”

“You got to be kidding me. So, where is he?”

“Maybe he’s still in Romania,” Vanessa says.

“What is he still doing in Romania?” Brian asks.

“He went over to visit his family, but you already left by the time he told us that,” Sparks replies.

“No, it can’t be. Vlad told me he would show up for the funeral, and I’m sure he wouldn’t want to miss this.”

James looks at Igor and asks, “Igor, tell me, did you really look for Vlad?”

“Yes, I did. Well, I let other vampires do it, searching for a weasel is not really my style. But I called Areola, and he contacted a couple of vampires in Romania to go look for Vlad. But, sadly they couldn’t find him.”

“What if something bad happened to him? We need to go look for him.” Cole says.

James puts his hand on Cole’s shoulder and replies, “I will go look for him when the funeral is over, don’t worry. I have a feeling he’s fine, but now, let’s focus on the funeral, alright?”

Cole takes a deep breath and then nods. They continue walking again and a short while later they reach the same big rock Cole saw in his dream! Cole is visibly shocked, and so is Vanessa! “What’s wrong with you guys?” Sparks asks.

“Nothing, but this is the same rock where Cole rose as the Agkron,” Vanessa replies.

“And it also is the same rock from my dreams.”

“And I assume it’s also the place where you tried to kill my sister?”

“Yeah, but, why are we here?”

“I did not know you already have a history with this place, but this is where your father was buried,” James replies.

Igor walks closer to the rock and asks, “Inside the rock or underneath it?”

“It’s not funny, Igor,” Vanessa replies.

“It wasn’t meant to be funny, princess.”

Cole looks at James and asks, “So, my father was buried underneath this rock?”

James then spreads his arms, closes his eyes for a moment and says, “Brickelable Heavalinus”

The rock slowly fades away and reveals a big white tombstone with ‘In loving memory of Jack Harrison,’ written on it! They’re all shocked! Cole walks closer to the tombstone and squats down. Vanessa squats down next to him and asks, “Now you finally know where your father was buried.”

“Yeah, it’s strange. I must have walked past this rock a thousand times, but I would never have thought that my father was buried here. He has been so close all along.”

Right at that moment, James says, “Ivalicto beautacia.”

All the trees and bushes move backward, creating a lot more space around the tombstone! Beautiful flowers arise from the ground and a couple of feet away from Jack’s tombstone, a shiny white coffin with platinum edges appears! Cole and Vanessa get up and Cole walks over to the coffin. The rest walk up to the coffin as well and James looks at Cole and Cole nods. James then removes the lid and they see Julia lying inside of the coffin, with her hands crossed and with a beautiful white dress on. Cole closes his eyes and takes a very deep breath. Vanessa puts her arm around his waist and Brian puts his hand on Cole’s shoulder. James bows his head down and takes a couple of steps back and Sparks is tearing up. Even Igor is visibly having a hard time. A tear rolls down Cole’s cheek as he puts his hand on his mother’s hands. “She looks beautiful,” Vanessa says.

“It is actually her wedding dress. She always used to tell me about how much she loved it and how good she felt in it, so I thought it would only be right if she would wear it,” James replies.

“Thank you, James. Really, thank you,” Cole says.

Igor then grabs a red rose out of his jacket, puts it next to Julia and then takes a couple of steps back. A red rose also appears in Sparks hand and he does the same as Igor. Brian takes a deep breath and says, “Thank you, Julia, for everything.” He then pads Cole on his shoulder and also takes a couple of steps backward.

“Yes, thank you so much. You were like a second mother to me and I will always remember you,” Vanessa says, as she wipes away her tears.

  Cole gives
Julia a kiss on her forehead and says, “I love you, mom.” Then he wipes away his tears as well and says, “Alright, the rest can come as well.”

“That’s fine,” James replies, as he puts the lit back on.

“I will get them, be right back,” Igor says, as he disappears lightning fast.

Vanessa gives Cole a tight hug and a while later, the rest of the brown werewolves show up as well with Igor. They all stand a couple of feet away from the coffin and James stands in front of them, next to the coffin. He clears his throat and says, “First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you for coming out and pay your respect to Julia. Now, there are so many positive things to say about Julia, but I will try to keep it short. Julia was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. She was caring, sweet, loving, and she would go through fire for the people that were close to her, and on top of all those things, she had one trait not many people have. And that is that she always saw the good in everyone and everything, even if there was no good. Like I said, there are many more positive things that I can tell you about her, but, Julia, I just want to say that you raised a very good man and I hope that you will find the peace that you deserve with Jack by your side. Thank you for everything, Julia, you will be missed dearly.”

Then James joins the rest again and right before Cole walks over to the coffin, Vanessa gives him a kiss on his cheek. Cole then walks over to the coffin and looks at everyone. “Thank you, to each and every one of you for showing up. It truly means a lot. Yeah, where do I begin? Like James said, there are so many positive things I can say about my mother. I just want to thank you, mom. Thank you for everything. You’ve done so much for me, and I know it hasn’t always been easy and that I haven’t always been easy, especially when I found out that I’m the Agkron. But throughout the years, and even after everything that happened and after I found out that I’m the Agkron, you have always been there for me. You protected me, you gave me advice and you gave me everything I needed. I could not have wished for a better mother. Thank you, mom. Just know that I will always love you and that I will never forget you.”

Then Vanessa, Brian, James, Sparks, and Igor walk up to Cole and stand next to him. The rest of the brown werewolves, including the twin sisters and the other two white werewolves, walk past them, shake their hands and walk back towards Brown’s Creek. David’s grandpa shakes Cole’s hand and says, “It’s a shame that a wonderful person like your mother got taken away from us so early. If you ever need someone to talk to, then know that I’m here for you.”
