“You’ve never had a sexy adventure in a hotel room?” Gabe canted his head to the right. He couldn’t believe a wealthy man of Hal’s age was a virgin.

  “Not with a man.”

  “But you do want this?”

  “Since I was a teenager.”

The idea that Hal was a virgin with men made Gabe rock hard. He knew that if he played his cards right, he would forever be Hal’s first. He’d never been anyone’s first. The excitement washed over him like an epic wave at high tide.

Gabe was ready to tear Hal’s clothes off and climb into bed, but he knew it wouldn’t be that easy. Gabe’s own first time was both exciting and scary. He’d bottomed when he lost his virginity while in college.

His partner was a senior, and Gabe was a sophomore. The older student was exceedingly gentle, but Gabe still moved forward in fits and starts. For Hal, it was unlikely to be a simple, breezy experience. Gabe needed to control his horny desire enough to pay close attention to Hal’s wants and needs. He was in it for more than a quick roll in the hay, and he couldn’t bear the thought of screwing up with such an excellent catch.

“First, let’s get you out of this suit jacket.” Gabe pushed it off Hal’s shoulders, and together they struggled to pull the jacket out from the back of the chair and gently lay it on the desk.

“You know that would have been easier if you let me stand up.”

“Did you want to do that?” Gabe smirked lightly. “I think it’s a little sexy when undressing is awkward and even funny.”

“Then you’re going to love me. Some days I feel like I’m one big bundle of klutziness.”

Gabe stared deep into Hal’s brown eyes. His money and his family’s power drew the attention of most people. What Gabe found that kept his focus was the boy-next-door charm that lurked just below the surface. He also adored the self-deprecating sense of humor. Gabe suspected that most people didn’t notice either quality. They only saw the personal wealth.

Hal reached out for the top button on Gabe’s plaid flannel shirt. “Is it okay for me to do this?”

“I’ve been waiting for you to do it since that day out on the rock.”

Hal babbled while he fumbled with the first three buttons. “This might sound stupid, but one of the things I’ve most wanted to do was take a guy’s shirt off. Then my hand can run over his bare chest, and—fuck!”

After closing his eyes for a moment, Hal took a long deep breath.

  “Are you okay?”

“I can’t believe this is happening. Did I ever say I get all nervous and flustered when I look at you? You’re so handsome, Gabe. Can I?”

Gabe didn’t have time to give permission. Hal’s right hand slipped inside the shirt, and his fingers found a nipple. He rubbed it and then tugged lightly while staring into Gabe’s eyes.

“Play with it like you want to. Tug and twist. I won’t break.”

Hal pulled and rotated his fingers while Gabe bit his lip. He was born with wiring that led directly from his chest to his cock. He was already rock hard, and he knew that Hal could feel the package pressed between them.

“I can’t believe…” The words trailed off like a spring running dry. Hal focused on Gabe’s shirt and torso. He pushed the flannel up and off the shoulders until it momentarily immobilized Gabe’s arms behind his body.

“I guess I’m yours. I can barely move.” Gabe grinned as he felt the air in the room sweep over his smooth bare chest.

“Can I?” Again, Hal didn’t wait for an answer. He leaned forward and kissed the left nipple.

Gabe closed his eyes. Hal was even sexier than he’d hoped. He fumbled around a bit, but who didn’t when they tried to have sex? Hal pushed forward like a man who wouldn’t let anything get in his way.

“Fuck, yes, you can. Please do what you think you’d like.”

While Hal gently closed his teeth over the nipple, Gabe set his jaw and sucked air through his nose. He was sitting on the lap of the man he’d wanted for months with his arms nearly bound, and his nipples worked over. For the moment, the world was a perfect place, and Gabe intended to keep it that way.

With Hal’s tongue nudging his nipple and the teeth pulling it gently away from his chest, Gabe struggled to free himself from his shirt. After a few tugs, the flannel finally billowed to the hotel room floor.

In a triumphant tone, Gabe announced, “Two can play at this game.”

Hal released the nipple and looked up.

Gabe placed both hands on Hal’s chest. He’d wanted the freedom to touch the firm, fit body for such a long time. Now it was covered by expensive, expertly tailored cotton. The crisp sensation beneath his fingertips made him think of fresh sheets as packaging material for Hal’s handsome body. In his dreams, Gabe often thought about tearing Hal’s clothes off, but he didn’t want to lay waste to such a fine garment.

“Do you mind if I do this?” At some point, before they met at the hotel, Hal removed the tie he wore at the speech. That left the neck of his shirt unbuttoned. Gabe only needed to deal with the rest of the buttons that trailed down Hal’s chest and abs.

Gabe didn’t wait for an answer. His fingers expertly got to work undressing his man, and he inclined his head for a kiss.

As the more experienced person in the room, Gabe wanted to make sure that he had the opportunity to exhibit his skills. He willed his fingers to stop shaking. When he reached Hal’s waist just below his navel, Gabe fiercely tugged the tails of the shirt free from Hal’s suit pants.

Hal had a lightly furry chest and a darker trail leading down from between his pecs to his navel. A little further south, the path disappeared into Hal’s pants and promised more treasure to come.

Gabe couldn’t have designed a more perfect man’s body. He enjoyed Brandon’s smooth, muscled frame when they were a couple, but with everything else being equal, he preferred the look of Hal’s chest and abs. They were straight out of Gabe’s very active fantasy life.

“You’re staring at something? Is it okay.”

“I’m blown away,” said Gabe. “Is it possible to be better than perfect? If it is, then that’s what you are.”

Hal bit his lip again. The gesture was adorable.

“Nobody’s ever said anything like that to me. You wouldn’t lie. Would you?”

“It’s almost impossible for me to tell a lie. My parents taught me well. Hal, you walked right out of my dreams.”

Gabe didn’t wait for another comment. He gently pushed the shirt up and off Hal’s shoulders and then traced the fingers of his right hand down the trail. When he reached the pants, he didn’t stop. Gabe began to unbuckle Hal’s black leather belt, and he quickly formulated a plan. He knew what would happen next—as long as Hal was game.

“You’ll stop me if you want to stop. Right? I’m not going to do anything that makes you upset or uncomfortable,” said Gabe. “I only want to be the man that drives you crazy. Is that too much to ask?”

“I think I’ve already died and gone to heaven. Does that tell you anything?”

Most of Hal’s torso lay bare with the expensive shirt hanging wide in the sexiest way imaginable. Gabe rose from Hal’s lap and took a step back to admire his handiwork.

  “Oh, no—please.”

Gabe reached out and placed a finger on Hal’s lips. With silence reigning except for the quickened breathing from both, Gabe fell to his knees. He let the single finger play on its way down Hal’s chin, neck, and chest. The fingers on Gabe’s other hand unfastened the top button of the pants and took hold of the zipper. He slowly tugged it downward and relished the sound.

“Are you going to? Oh, man…I….”

  Hal didn’t finish the thought.

As the zipper finished its journey downward, Gabe found himself face-to-face with expensive briefs that perfectly cradled Hal’s package. The fabric clung to the outline of a swollen cock as it pointed upward to the left.

When Gabe’s fingers closed around the engorged shaft, Hal mumbled, “Oh, God
”

“Remember, I can stop at any time.” Gabe said the words in a completely different tone from before. His voice dripped with innuendo. He knew that Hal didn’t want to stop until he reached the peak, and Gabe sent his mind and body careening down the other side of the hill at breakneck speed.

After Gabe stroked the cock a few times with it still surrounded by cotton, Hal willingly helped with the removal of his pants and briefs. Gabe pulled, and Hal pushed until they lay gathered around Hal’s ankles.

“So perfect,” whispered Gabe. He spotted a still visible scar from the crash on Hal’s leg. Gabe leaned over, kissed it, and dragged his tongue slowly over the slightly raised skin.

  Hal murmured, “That’s so sexy.”

Gabe returned his attention to Hal’s throbbing cock. It wasn’t huge, and it wasn’t small. It was ideal. Gabe knew that it would fit perfectly in his mouth, and it was rock hard and pointing upward. He wrapped his fingers around the base and pulled the cock down. He pointed it at his face.

  “Ever been sucked, Hal?”

  “Not by a guy.”

“Then you’re in for a treat. I’ve got a cock just like yours, and I know what feels good.”

“Can I touch your head?” asked Hal.

“Of course, you can. I’m going to lick and suck yours.”

“Damn…” Hal reached out and ran his fingers through Gabe’s dark, wavy hair. “Oh, it feels amazing.”

  “Your head or mine?”

They both chuckled softly for a moment, and then Gabe went to work. He always lavished plenty of attention on his partner’s cock head. He didn’t want to rush. Gabe slowly circled the head with his tongue, and then he sucked only the tip.

When Hal’s hips started to pump forward, and his hands began to grip the arms of the chair, Gabe knew it was time to swallow more. He let Hal’s cock slide deeper into his mouth. With a rhythmic bob of his head, Gabe slid his lips forward and back while he sucked.

Hal was swiftly floating into erotic headspace. He began to moan, and he closed his eyes. The sounds grew progressively louder as Gabe increased the rocking motion of his head. When Gabe’s fingers closed around the base of the cock, Hal hissed and then panted for breath in short, quick gasps.

Gabe’s opposite hand made sure that Hal’s balls didn’t feel left out. He wanted to slide his fingers further down and find the tight gateway to even more ecstasy, but that would have to wait for the next time. For the moment, Gabe gently rolled Hal’s balls over the fingers of his left hand.

“You’re getting me close,” whispered Hal. “I think you’re going to make me come.”

Gabe grinned. He was pleasing his man, and nothing made him feel better. “That is the plan, but not too quick.”

Hal opened his eyes wider when Gabe pulled his mouth off and stopped stroking.

“Hey, wait! What’s wrong? I’m so close. I want to come.”

With a wicked smile on his face, Gabe started to stroke again and then parted his lips to begin sucking. Hal gripped the arms of the chair and pumped his hips rhythmically.

He was close. Gabe felt Hal’s balls begin to tense. Then he stopped once more.

Hal panted for breath. “Oh! Please. Oh, fuck, please don’t stop. Keep going.”

Gabe brought Hal to the edge two more times before he asked, “Are you ready?”

Hal nodded. He couldn’t get any words out of his mouth. All that he could do was nod fiercely and look down at his throbbing cock.

It was time to take him over the edge. Gabe gripped the base of Hal’s cock and stroked swiftly while he continued to suck. Hal held on and threw his head back. He was at the top of that hill, ready for Gabe to push him over.

The first shot landed in the middle of Gabe’s chest. Hal roared, and his entire body shook. He gasped for breath, and his cock shot two more bursts of cum before Hal slumped back against the chair.

  “Oh, my God.”

  “Are you okay?”

Hal didn’t answer in words. He was speechless. Instead, he leaned forward, grabbed both sides of Gabe’s face, and planted a feverish kiss on his lips.

  Hal

Hal pointed at Gabe’s pocket. “It’s your phone ringing, not mine.”

While Gabe pulled out the cellphone, Hal finished loading items into the canoe. He felt like a kid playing hooky. Through phone calls and text messages, he planned another trip into the woods with Gabe on a day free of work and campaign commitments.

Hal didn’t ask Trent whether it was okay to skip out and go canoeing for the day. Only after he left his apartment early did he send a text message sharing his plans. Hal explained that he needed a day off and planned to spend it in the woods with Gabe.

The text message didn’t include any other details. Hal only shared that he would be back for a late dinner in Ely.

When Gabe mentioned that he was packing a tent into the canoe, Hal held up his hands.

“No, I’m not ready for that. I still need to move along slowly. Being with a guy is still a new experience for me. The canoe trip is a one day journey, out and back. Remember?”

Gabe threw an arm around Hal’s shoulders, and he patted Hal’s chest with his right hand. “It’s only a precaution. Up here, we take safety seriously. Strange things can happen. The chances are about one in 100 or even 1,000, but better safe than sorry.”

“Okay, but I hope you call Levi if we have an emergency on our hands.”

“If it’s a bear, Levi will get there far too late. Remember, I’m trained to handle these situations.”

“And a tent will save us from a bear?”

Gabe’s phone rang. He answered it and sat on the ground beside the canoe. Hal tried not to listen in on the conversation, but Gabe’s deep, sexy voice was hard not to hear.

“Of course, we’ll be fine. I’ve led trips for Brandon before, and I know proper first aid left, right, and sideways.”

Hal didn’t like to think about what might require knowledge of first aid. He knew that he was more skittish about accidents since the crash. When the plane went down, it took all of Hal’s sense of invincibility with it.

Gabe shoved the phone back in his pocket and returned to the canoe. “That was Elle. She wanted to make sure we’re all good for the trip.”

  “Are we?”

“I’m pretty sure I thought of everything. I even packed in a plastic container of homemade chocolate chip cookies. I baked those last night.”

  “You bake?”

Gabe smirked. “Cookies aren’t that difficult, but yes, I do.”

“To a man who doesn’t know how to cook, they are.”

“So, here’s something I don’t understand.” Gabe crossed his arms over his chest while Hal turned to face him. “You survived a couple of hours with no medical treatment alone in the woods after a horrible crash, but you lack the most basic life skills. Is there something that you do know how to do?”

  Hal blushed. “Kiss you.”

Gabe threw his head back and let out a full-throated laugh. “You do that well. I agree”

  “I’m glad we got Elle’s approval. She’s pretty level-headed.”

“Yep, she’s a gem. She wanted to quiz me about our little trip. Since I don’t lead groups anymore, she seems to think I’ve lost all of my skills.”

  “She cares,” said Hal.

  “Yes, she does.”

  “Trent doesn’t.”

  “What do you mean?”

“He doesn’t really care about me. He’s only interested in me because of the campaign and what winning will do for his career.”

“What did he think about this trip?” asked Gabe.

  “I didn’t tell him.”

  “Seriously?”

Hal pulled the backpack off his shoulders and wedged it under the back seat of the canoe. “I’ll have hell to pay when I get back. You’re worth it.”

  “Why didn’t you mention it?”

“Do you want him tagging along? He’s like the m
ost annoying nanny in the world.”

  Gabe rubbed his chin. “Ahh.”

“Although I don’t know how to cook or do laundry properly, I do exhibit flashes of intelligence from time to time. Keeping Trent only partially informed is part of that.”

  “And you’re sexy as hell.”

Hal stepped up to Gabe and wrapped him in a hug. “You’ve got me beat there, but I’m doing my best to catch up.”

Gabe pointed to the canoe. “Climb aboard. We want to get going before the sun rises much higher. That way, we don’t have to paddle in the heat of the day. We can spend those hours relaxing and then come back in the early evening when the sun’s not so hot.”

It was only his second time on a canoe trip, but Hal felt confident about paddling with Gabe. They’d made a good team when Hal was a complete novice. The second time around had to be even better.

Halfway across the first lake, Gabe suddenly stopped paddling. “Hear that?”

“What? All I hear is the water and the loons.”

Gabe turned his head to the opposite side. “There it is again.”

“I don’t hear it at all. Am I deaf?”

  “Maybe it’s a wendigo.”

Hal felt a slight shiver as an electric sensation raced up his spine. He’d heard the word before but didn’t know what it meant. “What’s a wendigo? You’ve mentioned it, and the context makes it sound like it’s something awful, but I don’t know what it is.”

Gabe carefully turned around on the front seat of the canoe. “Most people say it’s a legend, but I don’t know for sure.”

  “But what is it?”

Gabe raised his arms and curled his fingers into claws. “It’s a monster. Wendigos are cannibals. They feed on human flesh and encourage other people to join them.”

Hal felt a shiver at the base of his spine. “That’s creepy.”

“Elle and Brandon think it’s all a crazy myth, and the stories are ridiculous.”

  “But you believe them?”

“I keep an open mind. I firmly believe that we can’t adequately explain some things in our world. Like why the first bite always tastes better than the last.”
