“Certainly with the previous evidence they’d gathered and the additional evidence after catching him, Jerry was facing the same charges as Dustin. But the police and the DA were interested most in Jerry’s behavior. How had he known he was about to be arrested and to make himself scarce? Who passed the information along? They promised to give him the longest, hardest sentence they could possibly manage if he didn’t tell all. The fact that he’d been in trouble before was a good motivator. Under so much pressure, Jerry made a deal and spilled his guts. The police found the leak in their department and a lot of arrests were made. The DA was very happy.”

“Well it’s over. That’s all I care about,” Dustin chimed in and leaned over to kiss Chad. “Thanks to my brilliant attorney.”

  “Flatterer.”

  “Just telling the truth.”

“You guys are so cute together,” Ethan teased.

“Just as sweet as honey,” Crewe chimed in with a grin.

“I think I’m going to be sick,” Nick added while rising from his seat. “I’m going to get myself another drink. I need a buffer between me and all this lovey-dovey stuff.”

He turned in the direction of the bar and came face to face with a man. Dustin looked up, his mouth opening in awe. He’d always known that Nick was an impressive specimen, six feet five inches of prime, muscular alpha male. Never had he seen anyone measure up to him. Until now. The man Nick faced matched him, in height, weight and pure presence. Amber eyes flashed and his blond hair with its multi-toned strands gleamed under the club’s lights. There was an aura of intensity about him that drew the eye.

The two of them standing so close together, those invisible forces of personality touching, electrified the atmosphere. Any second now, Dustin expected to see sparks fly. It was a meeting of leviathans, a clash of titans, the kind of thing that made time stop and the world tremble with anticipation. Dustin watched as Crewe stood and made the introductions. Nick’s hand and the hand of the man named Lucas Devereau met.

Dustin blinked and shook his head. The world righted itself. They were two men shaking hands and the world hadn’t exploded at their first touch.

“Are you all right, baby? You look a little flushed,” Chad observed, nuzzling Dustin’s ear.

  “Just my imagination working overtime.”

“Chad, could I impose upon you for an introduction to this young man?”

Dustin looked up. Lucas was smiling down at him. Chad made the introduction and Dustin too shook hands with Lucas. The same sensation he got from Chad and Crewe flowed over Dustin. There was something about this man, something wild and untamed that drew Dustin and at the same time made him want to shiver.

Surprisingly, Lucas joined them and fitted easily in with their group. Dustin let his gaze wander from Ethan to Crewe then on to Nick and Lucas. Even though one couple had been together for months and the other had just met, Dustin got the same impression. They belonged with each other. Seeing them together gave him a feeling of everything being just the way it was supposed to be.

Just as he felt the invisible connection that bound him to Ethan and Nick, that link he felt between Crewe and Chad, something he’d mused on days ago, reached out to encompass Lucas. What was it Wanda had said? There was a mystery here? Dustin decided to wait and see how the situation played out between Nick and Lucas. If things went the way he thought they might, he was going to be comparing notes with his brothers.

Lucas chose that moment to turn his gaze in Dustin’s direction. Lucas’ eyes were glowing. Blinking several times, Dustin looked again and the lambent shine was gone. Must have been a reflection from the lights, he silently mused, shifting uneasily in his chair.

Seeking reassurance, he reached for the hand Chad had placed on his thigh and gave it a squeeze. Looking into his lover’s slate gray eyes and seeing the love that filled them, Dustin knew that whatever it was, once the mystery was solved, just like Wanda said, it wouldn’t make a bit of difference.

“Everything okay, baby?” Chad asked giving him the smile that Dustin had come to cherish.

  Dustin nodded. “Perfect.”

  Hoosier Werewolf 1: Midnight Howl

Rrr, rrr, rrr. Not something you want to hear from your car after midnight on a cold night in December. Ethan Parks takes it in stride and decides to walk home. What could happen? Being followed by what appears to be a wolf? Being harassed by some punks in the local mini-mart? Being rescued by the hunk he’s had a crush on since high school? Oh yeah.

Crewe Jackson’s been waiting patiently to claim his mate. Nine years ago both he and Ethan were too young, but now they’re all grown up. It’s time to give his sweet little nerd some lessons in love.

Hoosier Werewolf 3: Things That Go Grrr

Never show weakness. For two men, human Nick Parks, and werewolf Lucas Devereau, it’s the creed they live by. Trouble is, just because something is hidden doesn’t mean it’s not there. With a little trust they may just discover in each other a mate who truly understands the heart and soul of an alpha.

In the final installment of this series, Nick and his brothers Ethan and Dustin are on the verge of discovering a world few humans see. Secrets are about to be revealed and an unforeseen danger faced. The Parks brothers will need every ounce of family loyalty and love they possess to see them through the gathering storm.
