There’s even a Tom Shepherd fan group!

(Yeah…I’m surprised, too. I wonder if they’ll let me join?)

  Acknowledgments

Special thanks to my friend Christian Kallias, who designs all the exciting covers for the Star Lawyers series. Chris is also an amazing science fiction author. Nobody does Military Space Opera better than Chris Kallias. https://www.christiankallias.com/

Also thanks go out to my eldest son and fellow author T.S. Adrian, whose Shadyiah Ascendant fantasy series keeps lovers of sword-and-sorcery up late to follow the exploits of a badass, bisexual lady of the night who knows how to handle a blade.

One more “thank you” goes to Walter Wartenweiler, my guide and guru through the arcane world of media promos. Walter’s hard work in todays world of free-for-all, independent publishing, reminds me that even a genius like Shakespeare had to print and distribute his own handbills. Check out his (Walter’s, not Will’s) Facebook page:

  Special note to meticulous readers:

If you find this note, tucked on the last page, contact me tom@shepherdauthor.com and I’ll name your choice of the following* after you:

Planet—either uninhabited/undiscovered, or alien world or human colony, hot Jupiter, frozen gas giant, or anything you’d like.

Star system—name the star and specify its type. Main sequence—any color—or a pulsar, quasar, or something else. If it’s main sequence, you can specify the number of planets orbiting your star.

Jump Gate—ancient, alien gates have numerical designations, but some have acquired nicknames. Most Mathews Interstellar Industries Gates have both numerical and name designation.

Alien god or goddess—popular with my Unity friends.

Alien species/civilization—specify whether they will be friendly or hostile or disinterested in outsiders.

  Dr. Tom

*PS: Sorry, I don’t name characters in the story after real people. Also, if this book goes galactic, I’ll take the first 50 responses.
