I'VE GOT SO MUCH TO GIVE

by Will Brown

“I have to be honest, JJ did not want me to get a divorce. As a matter of fact, everyone still likes him and they still talk to him even though they don’t think I know.”

“Do you know what I think? I believe you should at least attempt to let him be your friend. That’s a start in the right direction to your own healing. Be willing to show that you forgive him. I promise you baby, the rest will work itself out. At least think about it. After all, you’re calling the shots now. I heard he’s trying to change.

“Do you think so?” T-Bird asked.

“Listen cuz, you are a Robinson. Make it mean something,” Desiree replied. “We all have to carry our own cross, so stop trying to justify your feelings over Shaun, because you slept with Darnell. I know I brought him with me, but you gave him your candy and the cookie too. All I want to know is— is he good?”

“Cuz, you know you’re really trippin, but I’ll be damned if I’m keeping all that to myself. Yes he is,” T-Bird, answered. “I knew the moment I saw him, I wanted to give him some. And the reality is, a sister just had to take care of a little maintenance, that’s all.”

“Wow, it was like that?” Desiree asked.

“Desiree, you know me, I haven’t fallen for a man since I met Shaun. No regrets here..." They both laughed.

“I understand baby.” Desiree said. “I know this has to be some challenging times, but just do me a favor and don’t put more on your plate than you can eat. I’ll keep my eye on Darnell.”

“Desiree, you know I love you so much.”

“Um. hm, you better” Desiree continued. “On that note I’ll call you later. I have to go to the office to follow up on a project.”

“That’s fine because I have to get out of here and check out the studio where I’ll be doing my rehearsals...” They each hung up to continue their various plans.

It was a hot afternoon, but T-Bird loved every minute of it. She pinned up her hair, put on a pair of jean shorts and a tank top before doing a mirror check, putting on her sun glasses. She then called Trent to go with her into the city. He was her choreographer. His moves were so hot that everyone in the industry wanted to work with him. But, no one came before T-Bird. His loyalty and commitment to her was unshakable.

As soon as they arrived on the departure platform to take the train, a young woman walked over to her. “Excuse me but aren’t you Tamara Robinson, the singer?”

T-Bird lifted her glasses above her forehead. “Yes that’s me. Call me T-Bird.”

Realizing who she was, the woman began to inform others on the platform. T-Bird made her way to the top by working hard and staying connected to the community. As a small crowd gathered, she took out a few CD’s already autographed and passed them out.

After they arrived in the city, T-Bird began to tell Trent about a former dancer named Josh. His brother was supposed to be a pretty good manager. Hearing that, Trent put his arm around her shoulder. “T, I don’t mean no harm, but I’ve worked with Josh’s brother several times on gigs and he’s not dependable. I don’t think he’d be a good fit for you. He’s always late and has a huge overhead trying to be more than he really is. It was a nice gesture for Josh to recommend his brother, but too much seasoning can spoil the soup.”

T-Bird knew exactly what Trent was implying. “You don’t say? Thanks for telling me that. I’ll go through with the interview anyway, but won’t let him know that I got a little history on him. Is that fair enough?”

“Yeah, that sounds good to me,” Trent answered. “I just want to look out for you and the group.” T-Bird then kissed him on the cheek.

“Trent, that’s why you’re my gumdrop. Don’t worry. everything’s going to be fine.”

After confirming the studio, they headed back to the train station listening to her songs in constant rotation on the radio from cars to boom boxes. While waiting for the train, T-Bird kept thinking about the conversation she’d had with Desiree and didn’t speak a word the entire ride back home. Trent looked over at her.

“Hey, is everything all right?” She turned and looked at him.

“Yeah, I’m all right.. just a little tired. It’s been a long week and there’s still a lot of planning ahead." The more she thought about all the tasks, the more she realized she needed a manager. Someone reliable and capable of relieving her of the stress and responsibilities she was handling. She also kept thinking about Darnell, Shaun, Trey, JJ, Q and Desiree. They had her head spinning like a top over their opinions and concerns. What am I going to do? she asked herself. I’m supposed to be happy and yet I’m still dealing with making everyone else happy. I’ve got to figure this all out.

The entire train ride, her cell phone continue to ring so much she wanted to turn it off. There were calls from all the people she didn't want to talk to and felt like just throwing her phone away. But she knew taking the calls was part of the music business and the price she had to pay to for her fame. Finally, she made it back to her loft, trying to find a moment to relax. It was solitude she needed, but not before navigating over to the window.

Looking out, she could see the glittering lights of the city from a distance and she began humming a new song she contemplated putting in her show entitled, My Touch for You. It began to flow right through her spirit, allowing her to take her mind off of the stress the more she sang it. However, it couldn’t keep her from thinking and yearning for Darnell as she sang the words with more and more feeling.

  Baby, baby

  The touch of you

Is driving me out of my mind

  Oh boy

Oh how I love you baby

At that moment her emotions got the best of her and once more her cell phone rang. To her surprise it was Darnell. She wiped the tears from her face while getting her composure together before answering.

  “Hello?”

“Hey baby it’s me, Darnell. I’ve been thinking about you”

“Hey Darnell, how have you been? Isn’t this is a surprise. I’ve been thinking about you too. I guess our timing was perfect. How are things at the job?” she asked.

“I don’t even know where to begin. Things are going just great. I miss you so much.”

“Do you really? Baby, I miss you too," she said. “So when am I going to see you?”

“I was wondering that myself,” he answered.

“I know you’re really working hard right now doing your interviews and video shoots and you know—”

T-Bird interrupted. “I’m not too busy for you. Do you want to see me?”

“Of course I do,” he replied. “What kind of question is that? I just don’t want to come in between you and your work. How can I not miss you? That’s why I called.”

T-Bird took a deep breath. “You’re right and I appreciate that. I just wish you were here to hold me. I need to feel your arms around me.”

“I know, baby. I feel the same way,” Darnell said.

“Okay, let me calm down because the fact of the matter is, you’re not here and me sharing my feelings isn’t going to help either of us or make matters any better right now,” T-Bird said.

“Baby, I promise when we see each other, I’ll make every minute worth us missing each other. Will you allow me to do that?” he asked.

“I know where your heart is. I just need you to pencil me in some time.”

“You know you’re melting my heart right now, don’t you? So please can we change the subject and tell me what city is the tour starting in? Are you sure Atlanta is going to be included?”

“It sure is. I‘m starting with fifty cities and Atlanta will be the last. So would you like to come along and join me in a few cities? You’ll have a great time, and you’ll get to see me in action. So how about it baby? Is it a deal? I’m not accepting no for an answer.”

“T-Bird that does sound like a good idea. I just need to see if I can adjust my schedule. Your cousin has got me bogged down in so much work I don’t know my right from my left. Do you know what I mean? I just don’
t know if it’s possible.”

“Let me talk to Desiree and see what she can do. I’m sure we can come up with something. I mean, she’s my cousin for heaven's sake. She’ll be understanding enough to give you a few nights to be with me.”

“I sure hope so. Desiree is a real workhorse and she doesn’t play when it comes to meeting deadlines. Make no mistake about that. She’s an entirely different person when she wants something done. I guess it all comes with the job. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of a magazine that makes it all come together, especially choosing articles and editing.”

“Don’t worry I’ll take care of it,” T-Bird said. “I’ll call you after I talk to her but until then, let's talk about us and those nights on tour..."

Darnell hesitated for just a second then asked, "What are you wearing? I need to hear you tell me something sexy...”

"Some jean shorts and a tank top...black lace thong and as of this moment, no bra..." Her nipples were hardening from the touch of the fabric and the thought of Darnell.

"I need to hold that hard dick of yours in my hands, stroking it until you cum all over me..."

Darnell let out a small groan. He knew he had T-Bird right where he wanted her. He even heard the sound of her zipper and knew she was removing her shorts. That was his cue to go in for the kill...

"I'm holding it right now. Let me hear you play with yourself...touch yourself for me.”

Hearing those word really turned her on as she put her hands between her legs, opening her lips to feel the wetness inside. Immediately, she began to moan as she masturbated while listening to his voice.

"I see you...I feel you.Do you want me?”

Of course I do," he replied as he began to masturbate along with her.

“I’m getting ready to cum inside of you,” he whispered urgently.

In that moment of pleasure, as she pushed her finger deep inside her body, imagining it was Darnell, she moaned loudly, asking him to cum with her.

Savoring their potential moment of simultaneous release, T-Bird thought she heard another voice on the line; a woman's voice before the phone went dead silent...
