Charlie put out his arm to stop him. “Not you, Dilly,” Charlie said, passing him by.

“Oh, sure,” Dilly muttered. “It’s always one of you. I’ll just go and get some popcorn.”

Charlie sidled up beside Erik and Danessa. How Erik kept going, Charlie couldn’t imagine. There must be something to that drug. Somehow, he expected the effects to be different than the uncontrollable urge to screw.

When he was close, Danessa leaned over and pressed her hand to his crotch. Erik adjusted his stance as though he knew Charlie had joined them. She tilted her head and took his lips. She touched them with her tongue and he let her in, rocking his hips into her palm.

The captain moaned and froze. Charlie imagined his cum filling Danessa’s pussy. Lucky bastard.

Erik used his feet to push off his boots and uniform pants before carrying her to her bunk. He lay her down and she unwrapped her legs and let them fall.

“I hope you and Dilly enjoyed the show, Lieutenant,” the captain said.

Abashed, Charlie’s cheeks heated. “I didn’t know you were aware of us, Captain.” He glanced at Danessa. She lay there with a dreamy look on her face, casually fondling Erik’s balls. Did the woman never get satisfied?

“Dilly, damn it, I told you to secure the ship. That didn’t mean you could invade Ms. Vanessa’s privacy.”

  “Or yours?”

  “Such insolence,” Danessa murmured.

“Shall I bring coffee, like a good steward, Captain?” He snapped a salute then raised his brows in a show of arrogance. “I’m sure you can find your own cream.” He spun on his heels and marched off.

“Remind me to get his attitude adjusted the next time we’re in port.”

“Why don’t you get as naked as us?” Danessa asked Charlie.

Startled, Charlie looked at Erik. The captain shrugged. “It’s the drug. We might as well get it out of our systems any way we can.”

“If you say so, Captain. Uh, Ms. Vanessa, that is, if you don’t mind.”

“You heard the captain. It’s the drug.”

Charlie undressed in record time. Danessa sat on the edge of the bed and opened her mouth. He jammed his hips forward and she took him in all the way.

Before surrendering himself, he caught a glimpse of the captain stroking her pussy, caressing her with his palm and fingers. Her hips rose to meet his touch in the same way Charlie moved to fill her mouth.

“Ahh!” He was so jacked up from watching her with Erik that he knew it wouldn’t take long before he lost everything. Would she swallow? He hoped he had enough wits about him to be polite at the right moment—he didn’t want to offend her.

She sucked hard on the crown of his cock and then jammed her head over him time and again.

Oh, God, oh, God. Shit! He wanted to last longer than a few seconds. Almost there…almost—

He tried to pull out, but she grasped his root and held him against the back of her throat, stroking the bottom of his shaft with her tongue.

He came, hard and strong. She swallowed it all, still caressing him in her hot, wet mouth.

He might be on a cargo ship hurtling through the cosmos, but Charlie knew that in actuality he was in heaven.

  Chapter Seven

Showered and dressed once more, Susan, Erik, and Charlie sat drinking coffee in the crew’s wardroom.

“I don’t know what to say,” she started, staring into the black liquid in her cup. “I mean, I’m no virgin, but I’ve never been a slut. Based on what just happened, you’d be surprised at how few sexual encounters I’ve had with men.”

“You’re into women, then, Thunder Thighs?”

  Erik grimaced. “Dilly, please.”

“I’d call you a bucket of bolts and nuts, but we both know you don’t have those, don’t we?” Susan said sweetly.

“Bitch,” Dilly said under his breath, but he left them alone.

Susan fumed. “‘Thunder thighs?’ For two Galaxy-bucks I’d toss water on that bot just to watch him rust.”

“You really shouldn’t tease Dilly. He takes pride in the fact that he looks so human.”

“Fine. Tell him to leave me alone, too.”

Erik sighed as Charlie laughed. “No one ‘tells’ Dilly anything,” Erik said. “He has a computer for a brain, so his calculations are fast and correct. He’s nearly indestructible, as long as we maintain parts, and he does what he does superbly. He could be serving on a much better ship than Erik’s Pryde, and he knows it.”

  “Why doesn’t he?”

“The captain—” Charlie stopped when Erik held up his hand to stop him.

“Maybe he feels sorry for me,” Erik offered.

Charlie gave half a shrug and said, “It seems to me that as long as we’re responding to the Pheron as we are, there’s no reason to lock ourselves away. It seems pretty harmless.” He grinned. “And a hell of a lot of fun.”

“That’s just the problem. I don’t know that our reaction will stay the same. And it could still be dangerous. Suppose we suffer a lapse when you’re needed on the bridge?”

“Dilly,” Charlie and Erik said together.

“You called?” he answered from the doorway.

  “No!” they said in unison.

“Make up your minds,” he said under his breath.

“I think we can take the risk,” Erik said, amused. “In an emergency, Dilly can pilot the ship.” Then all sense of lightness disappeared. “Now, after all we’ve been through, why don’t you come clean with us?”

Susan, hands gripping her cup, sat back and studied Erik and then Charlie. “You already know I’m not the woman you were expecting.”

Erik nodded. “I knew that from the beginning.”

  “You did?”

“Not that your ID wasn’t correct, but that you were no simple bride going to M3859. I knew you were in trouble and needed our help.”

Susan couldn’t help it. She bristled at the notion that he thought her a helpless female. “I don’t need help.”

Charlie frowned and shook his head. “He didn’t mean that he thinks you’re weak, just that you’re human. Everyone needs help now and then.” He spread his hands to make his point. “How can you make fun of Dilly for not being human and then deny one of the very things that makes us human? There’s no shame in it.”

Erik tightened his jaw and stared at her. Waiting for her to share, she supposed. Well that just wasn’t her style. “I’m used to taking care of myself.”

“I don’t doubt that. So would you have preferred I turn back to the terminal and let you handle things yourself?”

Shit. He had her there. “No. I preferred not to go back to the terminal. And”—she sucked in a bracing breath—“thank you for not turning me in.”

“See?” Charlie asked. “Don’t you feel better?”

  “No.”

That made him laugh. “You’ll get the hang of it.”

Erik didn’t laugh or even smile. The men were so different. Charlie, tall and with a lanky frame that carried his muscular body with a casual sureness. His emerald-green eyes mesmerized. With shaggy brown hair, ready smile, and sweet personality, he should have been some nice girl’s husband instead of sailing the universe. In contrast, Erik’s muscular build, dark-blue eyes, and blond hair exuded all power and male force. One thing they had in common, though—cocks to die for. Deep in her belly a tingle began. Damn, would that drug never wear off?

“As for who I am and what I do, it’s better that you not know.”

“Why is the government after you?”

“Not for anything I’ve done, that much I can tell you, and I hope you’ll believe me.”

“Give me a reason why I should.”

“Because someone in the government is trying to kill her, Captain,” said Adam. He entered the wardroom and calmly poured a cup of coffee before joining the other men on the side of the table opposite Susan.

“Her name is Susan McAllister. She’s an agent for the DAT and earlier today she return
ed to her office to find everyone dead. Men are searching for her, but she doesn’t know why.”

It was all she could do to keep her mouth from dropping open. “How dare you invade my mind!”

Adam had the gall to chuckle. “‘Invade?’ While you and—” He stopped, glancing at his companions. Charlie’s cheeks turned crimson under Adam’s regard. “While you and whoever were having sex earlier, you fairly shouted your inner thoughts.” He shook his head, tsking. “Sex is not an undercover agent’s best friend.”

What could she say? She knew it to be true, which is why she never—ever—had sex where she worked.

“So. What else do you think you know?”

“That you are indeed in trouble.” He faced Erik, all amusement gone from his expression. “If we had gone back, Erik, I believe she’d be dead. Whoever these people are, they mean to make sure she’s out of the way.”

“Don’t you know who they are, Mr. Psychic?”

Susan was surprised to find that having her secrets out scared her almost as much as those assholes on Earth with their Succhers. She was used to living lies and keeping secrets. Having them exposed left her feeling far more vulnerable than she’d ever believed.

“I wish I did, but I can know only what you know, Susan.” He smiled gently. “I’m a psychic, not a magician.”

Erik sat stone-faced, digesting what Adam said. “You’re sure she isn’t guilty of something?”

“Oh, I’m sure she’s guilty of something.” Adam grinned and quirked his brows. “But not whatever is causing them to hunt for her.”

“What’s the matter, Captain? Don’t trust your own mind reader?” She held the coffee cup to keep from trembling. She hated having her life examined by strangers, although these men felt less like strangers than anyone she’d met since joining the DAT. They seemed like people she could trust, could afford to think of as friends, and she’d had few of them. Only Lisle, and now she was…A sob escaped her despite her best efforts. When would there be time to mourn her friend?

Charlie immediately covered her hand with his. “It’s okay. The captain won’t let them get you, none of us will. Right, Captain?”

“I’ve put my ship and crew in jeopardy for you,” Erik said. “I expect honesty in return.”

Could she do this? Could she trust these men she met only a few hours ago when every fiber of her being screamed for her to retreat? She looked at each of them. Charlie’s eyes held sympathy, Adam appeared calm and—somehow—wise, and Erik looked, well, like Erik. Powerful, confident, decisive. She knew what they expected but wasn’t sure she could do it.

  “I’m not good at sharing.”

“No shit,” Erik said, but without amusement.

“But…” She took a deep breath. “No more lies.”

He hesitated only a nanosecond. “Good enough.” And with those few words, the tension broke, not just at the table but within. For the first time ever, Susan felt she wasn’t alone. A huge weight lifted from her shoulders.

And with the lightness came a wave of heat, as though a fire had been stoked in her pussy that threatened to burn her alive. She imagined her body turning red with incandescence. Relieving the tension jumping from nerve ending to nerve ending became the most important job in the world, overwhelming all thought, all other actions.

Her gaze met Adam’s, and she knew that he felt it, too.

No, that wasn’t it. She knew in a flash that Adam added twofold to the need already growing in her. He could engender thoughts as well as read them.

“We can talk more later. For now I think I’ll go back to my cabin.” She met Adam’s appraising gaze. His barely perceptible nod told her that he would be with her soon.

Erik regarded her with a narrowed gaze. “Are you all right?”

  “I’ll be fine, thanks.”

Susan smiled as she went to her cabin. She’d never had sex with a psychic before.

  * * * *

Adam hoped he had given Susan time enough to prepare, for he could hardly wait to be with her.

Thanks to her wild abandon during her time with Charlie and Erik, Adam knew things about Susan McAllister that she had probably forgotten. Earlier, in his own cabin, she had bombarded him with mind pushes, the messages a psychic receives from another person without having to probe. Her mother died when Susan was young, leaving her in the care—if you could call it that—of her father and two brothers. They hardened her to the world, making her a perfect candidate for the life she’d ended up living.

The DAT approached her when she was in her twenties with undercover work in mind, a style of life where Susan would have to keep herself separate from everyone who could have given her friendship or shown her love. No wonder she had lost emotional control under the influence of Pheron.

He knocked on her door. When she answered personally, totally nude, she pleased him greatly. She grabbed the collar of his uniform and pulled him into the room. When she closed the door and set the lock, he sensed that she had manipulated the setting somehow.

“I prefer not to have another audience,” she said.

  “I agree.”

She trailed her finger from her mound over her stomach, between her breasts, and to her mouth. She sucked it, staring into his eyes. “Can you read my mind now?”

It took no effort at all. He saw images of her straddling him, riding his cock as if he were a stallion, rising and falling, her hair tumbling behind her as she arched her back and spread her legs, taking him in even deeper. His dick grew impossibly hard. “Yes.”

He smiled while unbuttoning his uniform shirt and unfastening his trousers. “Can you read mine?” Immediately he sent her words—cunt, cream, tongue, fingers—and watched her expression change as she realized what he intended to do.

Her mouth opened and her lids drifted low over her eyes. He sensed her heart quicken and the blood surge through her veins. With a little more effort…there! Right along with her he experienced her growing passion. Combined with his own urge to mount her, the sensations threatened to overcome him.

His shirt ended up tossed across the cabin. When he turned and removed his trousers, he waited for her reaction to his appendage. Earth women usually responded in one of two ways to the sight of his ten-inch dick—they drew back in horror or came forward eagerly. Adam held out his hand. “If I may?”

Adam didn’t need to hear her—he already sensed her acceptance—but for some reason he wanted her to say the words.

  “Are you Omnian?”

“Yes. Half-Omnian. Does that bother you?”

“No, but it explains your gray eyes.”

Omnians’ eyes were white, with no pigment at all. His father’s lack of eye color, mixed with the nearly black eyes of his human mother, produced his strange shade of gray.

Omnians were known for more than their eyes, however. Males had total domination over females, taking what they wanted and demanding submission. They were superb warriors—something helped by their psychic abilities—and very aggressive except with their mates, to whom they showed utmost loyalty and affection. Adam had worked hard to let his mother’s influence control his life, and he’d mostly succeeded.

“My human side is sometimes lost to my Omnian in sexual situations, and I have been known to be rough. Would you prefer me to leave?” Hell, he’d die of pain before reaching his cabin and relieving himself, but he’d do it at her command.

Without hesitation she reached out. “I want you.”

  Chapter Eight

Adam led Susan to the bed. When she lay on her back he stood over her, watching. Would she like…? Yes. Retrieving his belt, he used it to secure her hands to the headboard railing.

“You didn’t send the word ‘bondage’ for my visual imagery.”

  “You need a few surprises.”

“You don’t think being Omnian is surprise enough? Omnian male organs are legendary across the universe.”

He chuckled. “I hope I don’t disappoint. Remember, I’m only half-
Omnian. The other half is pure Earth male, and we’re not nearly so well known.” After making sure the belt wasn’t too tight and yet still kept her bound, he knelt between her thighs.

Leaning over, he kissed her neck below her ear, then tongued the rim. “Why are you doing this? Why take us to your body?”

Susan shivered but turned her head to give him more access to her neck. “Don’t you already know? It’s the Pheron.”

“You must have suppressed a great many years of fulfillment to want us so badly.” He suckled where her pulse pounded and she moaned.

“You’re all so virile. What woman wouldn’t want all of you?”

“A woman trained not to give in to her desires.” He skipped her mouth. There would be time for that later. Instead he kissed her collarbone and the inside of her left breast. For some reason, the left breast was more sensitive than the right. Her mental wish told him so.

Adam used his mouth across her abdomen to prepare her for what he planned when he reached her core. Then he found her mons, hairless, as all Earth women were in this time. He moved lower, using his hands along her legs and thighs, stroking, caressing, pushing them open to their farthest extent. He breathed on her clit, glistening with the cream already coating her private parts. She gasped and raised her hips toward his mouth.

A strange feeling spread through him, something he’d never known before, though he’d heard about it. He didn’t expect it now, in the middle of nowhere with a woman he didn’t know. Still, there was no fighting nature.

“In your travels you heard of the Omnian cock, but did you hear of our tongues?”

  “No,” she whispered.

He raised his head so she could see his face. Pushing out his tongue, he concentrated. Slowly, it grew a good three inches beyond his lips. Ridges and bumps covered it, an evolutionary design that guaranteed the male could bring satisfaction to the female chosen as his mate.

Adam was certain Susan didn’t know the meaning of his accomplishment. It shocked him, too, that his body knew this Earth woman before his mind did. If he entered her with his cock and deposited his sperm, she would be his mate—his one and only mate—forever. Dare he continue?
