Evolution Z (Book 3): Stage Three

When the elevator opened, Schaefer was in for a surprise. Instead of a corridor, he saw another door in front of him. Above it was a camera, whose zoom function was audible when he looked up. A moment later, he heard the clicking of a lock mechanism and the door swung open.

Schaefer entered a huge room, whose size more resembled a penthouse apartment than an office. At the other end, a man sat behind a massive desk whose front sported the logo VI. The man had turned his back to his visitor and was looking through the completely glazed front at Manhattan. Schaefer’s knees started to tremble. He knew whose office this was. He shivered. When the man started to speak, Schaefer almost began to yell.

“Dr. Schaefer, nice to have you back with us. There is a lot to do.”

  46Thank-you

  Dear Reader,

It‘s hard to believe! You are finished reading my third novel and have gone on a remarkable journey together with Ray, Scott, Josh and the other survivors! I am very grateful for the time and money you have spent to follow this new adventure. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

As I am still working as an independent author, I would welcome a review on Amazon as much as Scott would enjoy a hearty sandwich. Therefore I have a favor to ask from you: If you liked my book, please let other readers know! Please take a couple of minutes to leave a short review. Since I do not have the support of a large publishing house, this is the best way for me to advertise my books.

There is also another reason why your feedback is important to me: It‘s only through your comments that I will get an idea where I can improve and how I can develop as an author.

I would like to thank in particular my advance copy readers who followed my call and made my work much easier through their great feedback!

I always take my readers’ suggestions to heart and try to incorporate your ideas into my writing. Please write me at:

  davidbournebooks@gmail.com

What did you like? What did not work well in your opinion? What was missing that you would definitely like to read about? Was there something particularly successful, thrilling, clever?

So far, I have answered every email personally, and I will continue to do my best to keep the lines of communication open. Please contact me—I‘m already planning Stage Four!

  Sincerely,

  David Bourne
