  “Of course.” Raphael nodded.

Rissa took a deep breath and nodded. “And will some of your pack follow along as well to ensure that the ones that tried to kill me to begin with don’t have a second chance? Especially when they learn that I am returning to be wed.”

“There are several that will be coming along in the shadows. They will be discreet, but we will have them there, should they be needed. It will be good exercise for them all, test their skills beyond pack lands,” Michael told her softly.

“Good. As long as you trust them, I trust them as well,” Rissa said softly. “I know that you guys would never put me into a place where any harm might come to me. I believe in that fully. And I’m very grateful for the carriage because I don’t think that Michael could handle me on a horse again. Not with as sick as I typically feel on one.”

“We’d also never get back in a decent amount of time,” he pointed out. “And we can’t waste a lot of time, so we’ll be moving fast. Unfortunately, it means we have to take the established trails and paths. Which means we’re a target. But that’s why some of the pack will be moving with us. They’ll be a moving wall with us at the center.”

“Well that’s going to be a bummer. I just hope that they won’t mind that they will be traveling hard and fast with us,” Rissa murmured. “And I really hope that they won’t hate me for making them go as fast and far from their home as they will be going.”

“They are looking forward to it, so don’t even worry, Rissa,” Gabriel told her. “Many will also be remaining at the palace to keep watch until the wedding. Those that are coming all volunteered knowing full well the distance. And really”—he grinned—“it’s not that far. We were taking you on a rather convoluted path, and so was Michael, all to keep the brigands from coming to pack land.”

“As long as you are sure that they don’t mind, then I’m totally good with it. I will never turn down help, and you boys all know that. I just really don’t want them hating me later on down the line when they don’t get to get home as much as they might like.”

“Their families will be coming to stay at the palace once it’s secure so they’ll be able to see one another. And those that can’t can visit on occasion, Rissa,” Michael explained. “And Gabriel is right, we’re not even a full day from the palace here. We’re on your eastern border, as a matter of fact. As he said, we took a very long and winding path to avoid leading those out to harm you here.”

“Are you for freaking serious?” she said with a groan. “I could kill you guys. I love you, but for real? You know how I hate being on horseback,” she grumbled but then grinned. “Then again, we did have some fun, didn’t we?”

“We did, at that.” Michael nodded and smiled back at her. “All right, we need to get the carriage back and prepared. Gabriel, head out and take the juveniles with you. It will be a nice short and easy run, but will give them some exercise and additional training.”

“Right.” Gabe stood. Leaning over the table, he pressed a kiss to Rissa’s lips. “See you in a couple hours, darling.” He smiled. Winking, he straightened and headed for the door.

“Raphael, get the missive sent off to the palace to alert them to our trip. Don’t tell them when we’re coming, just that we’ll be there soon.” Michael shot her a look and then turned to Raphael. “Then come and join us,” he said, something in his tone.

“In case there’s a spy inside the walls.” Raphael nodded. “I’ll get it sent off with a couple of the runners. It shouldn’t take too long.” He stood up and leaned over the table. Pressing a kiss to her lips, he grinned. “Stay out of trouble, Princess. I will see you shortly.”

“Makes sense. Perhaps you should tell them that we are coming from another direction. That way, you would know who would be feeding the fires to the ones wanting to kill me. Tell one person one direction, another a different direction and so on, misleading them until we know which one is against us.”

“I’m not telling them anything at all,” Raphael said with a grin. “I’ll be saying a lot, but without a lot of information. I’ll also be sending out six different runners to come in from different directions with small variations to each letter they carry. It may help to ferret out the spy in the palace. If there is one, of course.”

“That’s very, very smart,” she said with an appreciative grin. “Goodness, why didn’t I think of that?” she asked with the shake of her head. “But I’m glad that you do, so that’s what matters. You thought of it, and you are making it happen, so life is good.”

“Actually, Michael thought of it, but he’s the suspicious sort. Very pessimistic.” He chuckled. “Anyway, I have to go. See you later, darling.” Moving away, he grabbed up a bag and stepped out of the door with a small wave.

“Well, I happen to love that about him, so I’m all good with him being suspicious. As long as it’s never of me. I think I would have to brain him if he were ever to treat me with suspicion. And then make him kiss me and make it all better.”

“That would never happen,” Michael told her as the door shut on Raphael’s laugh. “I happen to love you, Rissa. That and I know you fairly well after all these years. Even though we were parted for a time, I still know you rather well. I know your heart and that’s all that matters.”

Rissa winked and leaned in closer to him. “Got you riding inside of the carriage with me alone now, didn’t it?” Okay, so it was a little sneaky of her to arrange her men the way that she had, but really, she loved spending time with Michael, especially with all the time they had lost together.

“I hate that contraption,” he muttered. Heaving a sigh, he leaned back. “But I’ll ride with you if you wish. Which likely isn’t a bad idea. I’ll put one of the pack up with the driver just in case, Raphael and Gabriel on horse and the rest of the pack we’re taking around us.”

“And if we close the curtains we can forget that this is a carriage, just as you made me forget that we were riding a horse.” All right, so she was more than a little eager to have him inside of her again, to make love with him again, but she couldn’t seem to help herself at all.

“The rocking and swaying is a good clue.” He cocked a brow at her. “But I’m sure you could distract me. You nearly distracted me from recalling we were on the horse. So I’m very sure you’ll be creative in the carriage.”

“Exactly.” Rissa pulled open the bodice of her gown and moved so that she straddled Michael. Her hands moved between them, and she began to stroke him lightly. “So tell me, my big bad wolf, just exactly how badly do you want and need to be inside of me?”

His growl filled the room as he slid a finger over her breasts. “I always need to be buried inside of your sweet pussy, Princess. But—” He leaned in to kiss her gently. “I don’t think taking you at the dinner table is very proper for a lady of your position.”

“I’m just yours, Michael. It doesn’t matter where we are. All that matters is that I am here with you. You are all that matters to me. Together we are very, very good,” she said with a smile. “And I just want to be with you. Now,” she said quietly.

He licked his lips slowly, his expression saying he was considering it before it went blank. Next thing she knew, she was flat on her back on the table, her skirts up and his pants open. His cock rubbed over her pussy. “Now?” he breathed out.

“Yes, now,” she moaned. “Please.” She licked her lips and watched him carefully. “I need you. Hard. Fast. Just please, I’m begging you, fuck me. Hard,” she demanded.

“If you’re sure,” he said softly. Thrusting into her hard, he grabbed her hips to keep her from sliding down the table. “Like this?” he asked, thrusting into her harder and harder, his cock sliding into her deep.

“God yes, just like that.” Rissa’s whole body vibrated in happiness as he fucked her. He well and truly fucked her just as she needed him to. “Again,” she growled. “Now.” It was a demand, pure and simple.

“Mine,” he growled out as he pulled on her bodi
ce to bare her breasts. His mouth found one of her tight nipples and suckled hard. His teeth made an appearance and scraped lightly to her skin. Not a true bite, just a hint of one.

“God I love when you do that,” she moaned. “I would very much like for you to do that again. I love when you bite me, when your teeth move over me, and I really, really think that you should do it again and again.” She growled.

His face was in hers the next moment, “Do that again,” he demanded. And it was a demand, no mistaking that tone or the look he had. “Growl again for me,” he said, using his teeth on her chin very, very lightly. Just the smallest kiss of sharp, deadly teeth.

Rissa did just that. She growled again. She moved under him and she whimpered. She bit his lower lip once again. “Harder,” she demanded. “That feels so damn good,” she moaned. “To have you like this, to have you taking me so hard.”

He lifted her leg up, he thrust into her, and nipped her neck. “Growl again,” he ordered, his mouth on her shoulder, his tongue tracing his mark. She was arching into him, moving with him, meeting him thrust for thrust.

Rissa did just that. She growled and moaned at the same time. She shuddered, her whole body clenched and she sobbed. “Oh God,” she cried out and held him closer. “There, right there.” It was a demand, pure and simple.

Pressing his teeth slowly to her shoulder, he held her as his cock slammed in deeper. Her pussy was pulsing around him, starting to tighten as he took her even harder. His growl vibrated through the room and her body as his hands tightened on her ass.

She let go then and, screaming, she came with a blinding flash of light behind her eyes that made her gasp for air, that made her entire being clench against his. Even her soul felt as if it had snapped at that moment. That was just what she needed, what she had wanted, because it felt so very, very good. She loved this man, and when he growled she couldn’t help herself from falling.

He pumped into her a couple more times before he let go, his seed splashing hot inside her pussy, against her womb. Then his weight was pressing her down, not fully. No, he’d never let it all fall onto her. His breath was warm on her neck as he breathed hard, fast.

Rissa smiled happily, her eyes closed and her whole being seemingly feeling lighter, feeling as if she were once more steady. “Perfect,” she whispered to him. “I never, ever want to go another day, another hour without being with you. I think for the first little while we will be naked, often.”

His chuckle rumbled through them both. Then he was looking down at her. “I have a feeling that could be awkward upon occasion, Princess.” Michael lifted her limp body up into his arms. “I think we should go and lay down for a while. And wait for Raphael’s return after so kindly allowing us a little time alone.”

“I think they ensured that it would be that way, since they knew that you and I both needed to blow off some steam.” She teased. “I think that they knew that we both needed each other, a great deal. Since they bonded with me they seem to be more and more knowledgeable about what I feel and need.” And she had needed him.

“They’ve always been observant,” he murmured as he walked with her to their room. “Likely more so than I ever was, at least in regards to you.” In the room he eased her to her feet, “Get naked, now,” he said, moving away slightly to pull at his own clothing.

Rissa was happy to oblige him. “Oh, you have always been observant when it comes to me, just not with how I felt for you and how much I needed you. I think that’s only because you never wanted to face the idea that I could love you as much as I do or want you as much as I do in all things.”

He crawled into the bed with her, moving like the animal he had within toward her. “I had an idea of your feelings toward me, Rissa. I just always worried it was a crush and you’d grow out of it. Or that you’d realize I wasn’t what you thought I was in your head. And I worried I would never be truly good enough for you, someone you honestly deserved.”

“And now you see that you are everything that I want, everything that I need. You are my everything, Michael. You are the man that I’ve waited my entire life to meet. You are the man that I’ve waited far, far too long for, and dammit, if you make me wait again I will have to beat you.”

“I haven’t made you wait for much of anything since we’ve been together again, Princess. Though I could, if you’d prefer a bit of a challenge again,” he said, stopping right over her. His lips were close, held just out of reach, as he stared down at her.

“No, no challenge.” She shifted slightly and moaned, “Please, no challenge, no fight. Just you, Michael,” she whimpered. “I just want you and I need you. That’s what is happening to me, okay? We just need to be together.”

“If you are sure,” he said with a slow, wicked smile. “Because I don’t mind giving you a little challenge from time to time. Something small, like finding your birthday gift, or perhaps whatever I dream up to give you for a wedding gift.”

For a moment Rissa completely stilled under Michael. “I’m sorry, what?” She knew that they would marry. She knew that they had a life coming between the two of them, but for some weird reason she’d never thought about gifts. “You would really get me a gift?”

“Of course I would,” He frowned and drew back a little. “I happen to know you like gifts. So do not say that you don’t, Rissa. I won’t believe you. And it is tradition to present the bride with a gift on her wedding day. I would not be a worthy mate and husband if I didn’t at least attempt to get you something appropriate.”

“I love gifts. You know that. I have always loved gifts and I seriously doubt that anything would ever change that. I hate to admit it because it makes me sound vain and spoiled, but I totally love presents.”

“Good.” He nodded, lowering his head again. Pressing a kiss to her chin, he scraped his teeth over her skin. “I have a few years to make up for since the last I gave you was this.” One of his fingers touched the pendant she was wearing. “Didn’t expect to ever see this on you, considering how I left.”

“No matter how you left, I still loved you, still love you in the present as well. You are my everything. You are my heart and I can’t stress that enough to you. I will take anything you give me, and I will treasure it just as I do this pendant.”

“I’m glad that you still love me. I do not deserve it, of course, but I’m very grateful.” His lips moved over her throat and brushed at the chain of the pendant. “Now all I have to do is figure out what is appropriate for a wedding gift for a Princess.”

“I think that you will figure it out. Somehow, honey, you are totally going to be able to figure out what the perfect gift for me will be, but for now, love me, Michael. No more talking, just feeling, please?”

“Yes, love,” he said quietly against her pulse. His teeth kissed her flesh again, sharper than before. He still was keeping his weight from her, but at least his mouth was moving over her skin. Down her collarbone toward her breasts, a little kiss and nip at a time.

“You are killing me,” she moaned. “But what a great way to go.” She shuddered. “Do that again. You know how very, very much I love the feeling of your teeth against my flesh, the feeling of you biting me, nibbling on me. Please, again?”

“All the way,” he assured her, his breath warm on her breast. His tongue darted out to stroke over her nipple very lightly. “I love your breasts,” he whispered, his voice husky. Then his mouth caught her nipple and began to suckle hard.

“Good, because I happen to love feeling you doing just that.” She moaned and pressed her breasts up against him. “More,” she begged. “I want and I need you inside of me, not just teasing me but making love with me.”

He growled low, menacing as his head lifted a little. “I’m not done tasting yet,” he said, the wolf in his eyes. “Don’t tell me I need to stop yet, Rissa. I don’t want to stop just yet. I need to taste you before we make love.”

“I couldn’t now or ever deny you anything,” she confessed to him and let
her fingers run through his hair. “Taste, do as you wish. I am yours, Michael, just remember that I will want to taste you as well.” She wanted to know what it felt like and how he tasted. She wanted everything.

His head tipped as his expression grew a little shocked. “Really?” he asked. “You don’t have to, Rissa, unless it is truly what you want. Don’t feel obligated to return what I give freely to you,” he whispered, leaning in to kiss her lips.

“I want to, though. You have no idea how very much I want to do just that. I want to taste you, to bring you to completion the way you do me. I want to see the look on your face as you come, just from my mouth.”

Another low growl sounded. “I like how that sounds,” he murmured. Suddenly she found herself straddling his hips, and he was flat on his back. “I have been rather greedy, so I think you should have your time to play.”

Rissa grinned. “Good.” Oh, she would not even come close to turning this opportunity down. She loved it too much. She loved the idea of being able to have Michael right where she wanted him, when she wanted him. She shimmied down his body until she could brush her lips to his cock, her hand gently touching him as she did so. “You will tell me what feels good and what doesn’t?”

“Darling, I am a simple creature. You wrap your luscious lips around my cock, and there is not much you could do wrong. But yes.” He nodded as he lifted his arms up to take hold of the headboard. “If something doesn’t feel good, I will let you know. How else are you to learn what I like otherwise?”

That had her smiling and she nodded. “All right then.” She moved so that she could slide her tongue over Michael’s cock, tasting him and humming in reaction. “Salty, but something else. I like it,” she murmured and then did it again, her tongue moving over his cock greedily, desperately, hands bracing on the bed at his hips.
