Hidden In The Woods

He swiftly entered me. I heard him make a moan that told me that he was surprised that I was ready and it also told me that he liked it.

His hands pinched into my breasts harder, but it felt so good. He slid in and out of me so quickly that I feared that he would slip out of me.

Ma had been right; I did need this.

I couldn’t get enough of him. I lowered my head and opened my legs wider, wishing that he could live inside of me, and that he’d never have to leave me.

Daddy slammed himself into me harder. The whole room smelled like sex. Our coupling became carnal and animal like.

I could no longer remain quiet. Daddy’s hardness felt so good inside of me.

  “Harder,” I demanded.

Daddy responded by ramming into me so forcibly that I almost fell over, but he was still holding onto me by my breasts. I could feel his finger sinking deeper into my skin.

He let go of my right breasts and twisted my hair into a ponytail with his hand. He yanked on my hair, and my head tilted back. I had never felt anything so wonderful in all of my life. He yanked my hair back when he thrust forward.

I reached between my legs and massaged my clitoris. I wanted to come so badly.

“Oh God,” Daddy called out. I could feel his seed raising up in him and exploding into me. He held my body still, as he came. When he finished, he continued to thrust. I was so close that I begged him not to stop. I was worried that he wouldn’t be able to continue. I needed to come, immediately.

Then I was coming. A wonderful wave of pleasure washed over me.

Daddy moved so I was leaning against his chest. He liked to watch me come. He told me how beautiful I looked, and that he was happy to spend eternity with me.

His hands ran lovingly over my body. I knew that he meant it. He wanted me, forever.

When my hand glided over her tummy, I stiffened. It had been a long time, but I knew what a pregnant belly felt like, and Britney had one.

Slowly, I walked her into the bathroom and stood her in front of the mirror.

“Don’t look at me. I’ve been eating too much lately.” She twisted in my arms, making my penis slide out of her.

I felt hope. Was this an act so cruel that Mother Nature couldn’t clear this with her conscience?

I turned Britney back to the mirror. She looked like she was five months along, and I swear her belly swelled even bigger as I watched her. Her breasts were bigger than usual too. Her nipples were dark and perked. She had a line from her belly button that went down to her clitoris. The baby was growing.

Would the baby be born soon?

Had Mother Nature decided that leaving the baby inside of Britney was too inhumane, so she was accelerating the pregnancy before the water could reach every pore of Britney’s body, making her completely immortal?

  “Ma,” I called out.

“Daddy, no. We just …” Britney was such a shy girl.

“The baby is growing,” I told her, sharing my excitement with her.

“Are you sure?” Her hands covered her belly again. She was going to be a great mother. She was going to be a mother. I was filled with such hope. This was a miracle.

  My mother came in.

“Ma, look. The baby is growing.” My ma understood about babies. She used to be a midwife, and she helped wherever she could, going to poor countries and helping the women.

My ma had tears in her eyes as she grabbed onto Britney’s tummy. “You’re right. I can feel two babies. I can feel them growing in my hands,” she said with excitement.

“Are my babies going to live?” Britney asked.

Ma nodded at her. “I think so.”

“Will they grow and be healthy? Will they die one day?” Britney asked.

I kissed her shoulder. “We’ll have to wait and see, darling. Each day with our children will be precious.”

Britney started to cry. I had no idea what was wrong with her.

My ma started the bathwater. When I met her eyes, she shrugged. “Britney’s pregnant. Pregnant women cry easily.”

Britney turned so she was facing me. “This means I’m not a murderer.”

“Of course, you aren’t. You never were.” I held her and kissed her. This was something that I had forgotten about. Pregnant women needed so much love.

Ma left the room, and I washed Britney, telling her that twins were something very special. We would have our hands full with them.

“Perhaps your parents could move in with us until the children are a little older,” Britney suggested.

“I think they would like that. It’s been a long time since they had a grandchild.”

  Chapter 14

On Christmas Eve morning, my brother Gilbert arrived. He was surprised to hear about everything that had taken place here this past week.

Britney was huge with her pregnancy. If she sat down on the sofa or in a comfortable chair, she couldn’t get up on her own.

We had all hoped that the babies would be born before my brother arrived so we could celebrate Christmas normally.

Ma was busy sewing and knitting things for our babies. Britney helped her where she could, but her hands weren’t trained to work as quickly as Ma’s could. Besides, Britney’s tummy was in the way. She also mentioned that her back was bothering her.

We had a very relaxing day. I was in the kitchen quite often seeing to our evening meal.

Gilbert asked Britney how she liked living in the woods. She told him this and that, and then she told him about the turkeys attacking her.

She had Gilbert on the edge of his seat. “Then what happened?” he asked her. He had quickly warmed up to his new sister-in-law.

“Daddy showed up and shot a handful of them. One is in the oven right now.” Britney was sitting on the sofa, and she reached her hand over to me and took hold of my hand. She gave me a look that told me that she loved me. She was very thankful that I had saved her.

Then Britney told him that the wolf who had showed her the spring was out in the barn.

Gilbert and Pa talked about what to do with the wolf. The wolf refused to leave and shooting him didn’t impress him.

“Why can’t he come in the house and be my dog?” Britney suggested.

“A wolf isn’t a pet,” Gilbert told her, sweetly.

“But he isn’t a normal wolf. He wanted me to drink so he could keep me. I think he loves me too.” Britney smiled after she said that. She knew that she was loved, that I loved her.

“It’s Christmas Eve. He should be inside with us. After all, he’s one of us. I’ll bet the other wolfs don’t accept him. That has to be why he went looking for me.” She stood up and went to the door. Before I could stop her, she went out to the barn in her socks. She walked right through the cold snow like she didn’t feel it.

I was in awe of her. I slipped on my boots before I followed her out.

When I got to her, the wolf was sniffing her tummy.

“I’m going to have two babies,” she told him.

I swear the wolf looked happy for her.

Then Britney dropped to her knees. “I guess, I’m having them right now.”

She lay down in the hay, panting and trying to catch her breath.

“I’ll carry you inside.” I went to her with outstretched arms.

“No!” she called out. “Leave me here.”

“I’ll get my ma.” I ran back to the cottage. “Ma, the babies are coming.”

“What? Not in the barn,” she complained, tossing her knitting to the side.

The whole family went out to Britney.

Ma checked her over. “She’s right. She can’t be moved. It looks like we’re going to do this Christmas style in a barn with animals watching and everything. Push, Britney!”

Britney screamed out so loudly, that I thought I might be sick. She was in pain because I had felt pleasure inside of her. I felt so guilty. I knew that I would feel better when everything was over, a
nd my wife was smiling with a newborn babe in her arms.

“My wife,” I declared. “We aren’t handfasted yet.”

“Well, I’m not going to wait,” Britney told me. She had other worries at the moment.

“Of course not, darling, but right afterwards. Promise me.” I knelt down beside her.

“Whatever.” She pushed again and then leaned back into my chest. “Hold my hand,” she demanded.

I took hold of her hand just in time for the next contraction.

“I can see the head,” Ma called out.

“I didn’t think it would go so fast,” Britney confessed.

“It usually doesn’t,” I told her. “You’re lucky.”

Britney squeezed her body together, even squinting her eyes. Then we heard a baby cry.

Ma handed the tiny little boy to my father. “There’s another one coming,” she announced. “Get him inside the cottage.”

Pa took the baby into the house to wash him and keep him warm. He built a cradle for the twins, and he was dying to see the babies in it. Of course that was a figure of speech.

The wolf followed him out, but he stopped half way in the yard, not knowing who he should stay by.

Britney screamed out again. Then she leaned into my body, panting for air.

“You’re doing so well,” I told her.

  “Thank you,” she whispered.

“I love you dearly,” I confessed.

“I love you too, Daddy.” She sat up and squeezed again. Then there was another cry.

“It’s a girl. You have one of each,” Ma declared.

Ma handed the baby to me.

I stared at my daughter and told her how much I loved her. I told Britney that I loved her too.

Ma told Gilbert to get me and my daughter in the warm house while she cleaned up Britney.

I stopped in the yard to show the wolf our daughter. He smiled with a big toothy grin that would have scared anyone else, but I was getting used to him.

I was hardly in the door when Britney bounced in behind me. She held the door for my Ma and her wolf. She told the wolf to lie down in front of the fire.

“She’s all healed up,” Ma declared. “I never saw anything like it before. It’s a Christmas Miracle.”

Britney held our children and planted kisses on their tiny faces and hands while the rest of us ate. She told me that her tummy was a little upset, and that she didn’t want to eat just yet. I guessed that she wanted to hold our babies more than she wanted to eat.

I couldn’t blame her. I’d had done the same thing if I were her.

  Britney

I walked down the stairs in a clean new dress with flowers in my hands.

Daddy was standing in front of the fireplace. He was grinning from one ear to the other. I peeked into the cradle and saw that my newborn babies were still sleeping. They were going to miss the wedding, or handfasting, as Daddy called it.

I stood in front of Daddy and smiled at him. This was the best day of my life.

Ma told us to join our hands. Daddy’s hand wrapped around my wrist, covering the sensitive veins that were pulsing with life. I felt a tingle go through my body. It felt right when he touched me.

The palm of my hand covered the inside of his wrist. I could feel life flowing in his body too. I wondered what it would be like to live forever. I wasn’t afraid because I knew that Daddy would be by my side. He’d take care of me.

I wrapped my fingers tightly around his arm.

Ma got out several colorful ribbons and tied our hands together, forming the figure eight out of the ribbons. She said that it was the sign for eternity, and that the symbol had never been more fitting at a wedding than it was at ours.

Ma blest us and spoke of hardships that could come in life. She told us it wouldn’t be easy, but that we were blest because we had each other to share the burdens of life with.

I promised Daddy that I would stay by his side forever and obey him. Daddy promised that he would never lose interest in me and that he would take care of me and our children as long as we lived.

When she asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Daddy, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.

  Then she asked Daddy.

“There is nothing I want more,” he answered, making my heart melt.

I wanted to wipe my eyes, but I was holding flowers in one hand, and my other hand was attached to Daddy.

Daddy used his free hand to wipe away my tears of happiness.

Then Ma declared that Daddy could kiss the bride. Me. I was a Christmas bride.

I dropped my flowers to the floor and wrapped my free arm around Daddy’s neck and gave him the sort of kiss that you could only give your husband when you were alone in the bedroom or on your wedding day. I was seizing the opportunity.

Daddy whispered into my ear that he would love me forever.

“I’ll hold you to that promise,” I told him.

Everyone clapped for us and cheered.

If only Gilbert had someone to spend eternity with, everything would be perfect. I thought.
