ABOUT THE AUTHORS
MICHAEL WHITE has the unique privilege of having been in three Top 10 charts—as a non-fiction writer, a novelist, and a pop musician. Formerly a member of the eighties band the Thompson Twins, he graduated from King’s College, University of London and during the nineties worked as a journalist. He has since published thirty-nine books in thirty-eight languages including the award-winning Isaac Newton: The Last Sorcerer and Rivals, short-listed for the 2002 Aventis Prize. His first hit novel, Equinox, was translated into thirty-five languages and became a UK Top 10 bestseller. Subsequent novels include The Medici Secret, The Borgia Ring, The Art of Murder, and The Kennedy Conspiracy.
Most recently, Michael has co-authored a thriller with James Patterson, Private Down Under.
He is currently developing a TV series called The Venetian Detective with Lion TV in London and has his own production company, White Diamond.

DR. JOHN GRIBBIN trained as an astrophysicist at the University of Cambridge before becoming a full-time science writer. He has worked for the science journal Nature and the magazine New Scientist, and has contributed articles on science topics to the Times, the Guardian, and the Independent. He has received awards for his writing in both Britain and the United States and is currently a visiting Fellow in Astronomy at the University of Sussex. John Gribbin’s books include In Search of Schrödinger’s Cat, In Search of the Big Bang, In Search of the Edge of Time, In Search of Superstrings (aka The Search for Superstrings), Einstein: A Life in Science (with Michael White), Richard Feynman: A Life in Science (with Mary Gribbin), Erwin Schrödinger and the Quantum Revolution (with Mary Gribbin), Science: A History, and Before the Big Bang.
