“Julie, hi,” he said as he stepped forward to kiss her, but she turned so the kiss landed on her cheek instead.

“Mr. Davenport,” she replied, albeit too formally.

“Mr. Davenport? I thought we were on first name basis,” Steven teased with a smile.

“We all thought different things, but you know shit happens,” Julie sniped. Steven raised an eyebrow.

“Okay. Are you alright?” he asked.

“I’m fine,” Julie said as she turned to look at Terrence. “Shall we go?” she asked just as she heard her phone buzz. She looked at it and sighed. It was the list Dana had sent to her. “Dana just sent me the listings we have to check out today.”

“Alright,” Steven agreed, not too sure whether he really wanted to go with her. “Terrence can drive us,” he demanded.

“I drove here…that will be kind of hard,” she retorted.

“Well, Terrence can take your car back to the office and meet us later. We can take the town car,” Steven said. Julie looked at him, unsure. “If you want to drive so much, you can drive us there,” he added as he took the keys from Terrence and handed them to Julie. Suddenly, he looked exactly like Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, tall, handsome and bossy. She gave her keys to Terrence and then walked to the airport parking lot. She realized that she had not parked that far from Terrence. After she and Steven walked to the town car, they got in and she pulled out of the parking lot. She had to admit, driving a car that sleek made her feel somewhat powerful. She loved the new car smell that was still present. “So, I have to ask, I sense some kind of hostility from you,” he said.

“Really? I wonder why that is,” Julie sarcastically replied without looking at him.

“Well, I wouldn’t really know,” Steven said.

“Maybe that’s just how I react after men see me naked and then don’t call me for days,” she snapped. Steven smiled.

“I’m really sorry about that,” he said. “Something came up back in London, family issue. I had to rush out there as soon as I could,” he added looking at Julie who didn’t say a word. “One of my sisters had an accident…I had to go,” he exclaimed. Julie suddenly felt silly for making a big deal out of a family emergency.

“I’m sorry,” she said still not looking at him.

“Don’t worry about it,” Steven replied. “If I was you I would be pissed too,” he added smiling. She looked at him briefly before looking back on the road. “There’s that smile I missed so much,” he complimented when he noticed her smiling.

“How is she now?” she asked as she maneuvered one last corner before she approached the first property she was supposed to show him that day.

“Well, she is not going to be riding that motorcycle of hers anytime soon, that’s for sure,” he explained. “But she is going to be fine after some therapy when she recovers.”

“Well, we’re here,” she said as she parked in front of a huge building. She turned and looked at Steven who was rubbing his temples. “Are you sure you want to do this today? Because you could rest up and then pick up from here tomorrow,” she said. He looked at her.

“I have gone to major board meetings after twenty hour flights. I’m just looking at a house. I’m okay,” he promised as he got out of the car. She got out and then looked at him.

“I need Terrence’s number so I can let him know where we are,” Julie told Steven. He smiled and shook his head.

“Don’t worry about it,” he said as he took his own phone from his pocket. “Terrence, hello. Why don’t you take the day off. Just drop off my bag at my place.” She looked at him, surprised.

“Why’d you do that for?” she asked.

“I can only look at one house, today,” he explained as they walked into the building. She wanted to say something about her car, but she knew that it wouldn’t do any good. They walked in silence as they approached the elevator. They got off on the thirtieth floor and walked into a tastefully furnished condo. They toured the house and scrutinized every little detail. After about an hour, he had decided to have the place repainted black and grey. “This is definitely a bachelor pad, but not with this color,” he frowned as he looked at the bright walls. Julie shrugged.

“We could arrange that,” she said as she noted it down on her tablet. They were in the master bedroom at that point and he was looking at the lovely view the balcony had.

“There’s something else I would want arranged,” he said as he walked towards her.

“Okay,” she said, looking up. He took the tablet from her and tossed it on a nearby couch. Julie thought it was a miracle that it didn’t drop. She looked at him in anticipation of what he was about to do.

“Are you still upset with me?” he asked. She looked into his eyes and nodded.

“Kind of. You could have called me,” she murmured in a low voice. By this time, he was right in front of her. She wanted to take a step back but her body wouldn’t let her.

“I know. I’m sorry,” he whispered, as he slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her close. He pushed a stray curly strand away from her face and smiled as he brought his head down to kiss her softly. Inside her, she wanted with all she had to push him away, but instead, she just wrapped her arms around him. The two shared a long beautiful and romantic kiss before she broke it.

“I can’t do this Steven,” she said without looking at him.

“Why?” he asked. She shook her head. “Tell me,” he pressed.

  “I just…can’t,” she repeated.

“Tell me why,” he demanded. She avoided eye contact as much as she could because God knew, looking into his eyes would be the end of her. “Julie, tell me,” he pleaded as he raised her chin with his index finger. “Whatever it is, you can tell me,” he assured her, his heart warming smile still present on his lips.

“Because I like you,” she said in a low voice as she looked into his eyes. She didn’t know what to expect. This was the first time she had admitted to her feelings and she knew that it could go either way.

“I like you too and that’s a good thing right?”

“No, I don’t want to fall for you, Steven I don’t want to get hurt,” she whimpered. He smiled and kissed her softly.

“I would never hurt you,” he said when he pulled away. She closed her eyes and kissed him back, loving the way she seemed to be melting in his arms. She didn’t even protest when he pushed her down on the bed. She looked up at him as he joined her, slowly running his hand down her body. She shivered when she felt him brush her breasts lightly as his hand traveled even lower on her thigh. He kissed her softly and then pulled at her blouse, slowly untucking it as he did so. He began undoing the buttons on her blouse as he kissed her softly. When he undid the last button, he separated the two sides of the garment and looked at her breasts concealed in her black satin bra. She looked up at him as he admired her like a piece of art. He slowly caressed her down from her shoulder to her waist before he got lower on the bed and began lifting her skirt. She looked at him and raised her hips, allowing him to push her skirt all the way to her waist. She looked at him as he caressed her softly before he slipped two fingers on either side of her panties and pulled them down.

Steven spread her legs and looked at her inviting pussy. It looked just as beautiful as he had imagined it. He slowly brought his head down and kissed her clit gently. She moaned when she felt him pushing his tongue into her pussy. She was already wet with desire, hot from wanting him. She grabbed the bedding and held on to it as he kissed her pussy almost the same way he would have kissed her mouth. She loved the way his tongue felt each time he sunk it deep inside her. She raised her head and looked at him at the same time he lifted his head to look at her.

“I want you,” she pleaded in a whisper. Steven smiled and then climbed off the bed. He took off his t-shirt and then kicked off his shoes. Julie looked at him and removed her blouse before she took her bra off. Steven looked at her and then went on to take his pants off. Julie wriggled
out of her skirt and then kicked off her shoes as he took off his boxer shorts before he joined her on the bed. He lay next to her and kissed her for a minute before he got on top of her. He looked into her eyes as he felt his cock at her sleek opening. He was still looking into her eyes when he pushed the head of his cock into her. A gasp escaped her lips when she felt him enter her. Steven kissed her softly as he pushed more of his cock into her. When he finally had his entire length inside her, she moaned softly into his mouth. Steven kissed her again as he began moving in and out of her slowly picking up the pace as he went on. Julie could not remember the last time she was so full. He was stretching her out so much that she guessed that he was able to feel all of her folds. She wrapped her arms around him tightly as he went on moving in and out of her, harder and faster as he went on.

“Oh God…Julie,” he moaned as he went on pumping in and out of her. By that time, Julie could hardly talk. It was almost as if he was pumping all of the air out of her. It was not long before she felt her walls quaking in the wake of her orgasm. She cried out loudly as she felt her vaginal walls squeezing against his rigid cock. Her orgasm must have been his Achilles heel because he began cumming almost immediately. It was hard to keep himself inside her all through her wild orgasm, but he struggled to do it. When their orgasm died down, Steven got off her body and then held her close.

At that moment, Julie realized that she might have made the biggest mistake of her life. It was not sleeping with Steven…it was sleeping with him without any kind of protection. She suddenly hated herself as she lay down cradled in his arms.

  Chapter 6

It had been a few days since Julie hooked up with Steven and she was trying to do her best to avoid him. The one thing she wanted more than anything was to avoid him like the plague. She knew that if she saw him, he would ask her what was up, but she had no idea what she was supposed to say.

“I slept with you without protection yet I don’t know you.”

But she had gone to the doctor the day after just to be sure and she had already got the results. So she was sure that, that was not the real reason.

“I am a fool for falling in love again after being disappointed so many times.”

Yes, maybe that was it. That and the fact that she was falling for him. What could be worse?

Julie was so out of it that even her father had noticed. She could never really hide anything from him so she did the only thing she could do in order to avoid him as well. She would leave the house earlier than usual and make sure she came back late, when she knew that he was already in bed. This went on for almost four days and it was really getting to Julie. She was ignoring two very important men in her life and the reality of the situation was that she was going to have to face them sooner or later. And that reality was more than she could handle.

When she got to the office on Friday morning, she was exhausted. She hadn’t gotten a lot of sleep the previous night, partly because she had been battling her inner desire to call Steven. She had even called him at some point, but she choked on the call…and now, she felt even worse because he knew it was her. She was sure he had caller ID. She had been staring at her computer for what felt like forever, when Dana walked in.

“That alarm clock is really working out for you, isn’t it?” she commented smiling. Julie looked up at her and smiled.

“You have no idea,” she said as she stood up to get herself her second cup of coffee.

“Nice dress,” Dana said when she saw Julie’s cream white sleeveless peplum dress. “Going somewhere after hours?” she asked as they walked to the kitchen. Julie looked at her and smiled.

“We’ll see,” she answered before turning to pour herself a cup of coffee.

“And your shoes…damn girl. Are you sure you don't have any plans?” Dana asked as she looked at her green peep toe suede heels with red bottoms.

“This, my dear friend, is what gets you all those listings,” Julie teased in a dramatic voice as she waved her hand up and down gesturing her body.

“Well I should give you a raise just so you get more outfits like these,” Dana joked before walking away. Julie smiled and took a sip of her coffee. She caught her reflection in the window and smiled. She did look really good. The dress was the perfect complement to her curvy body. She had straightened her dark curls that morning; she now had long black silky hair on her shoulders and she thought she looked just great. She walked back to her work station and sat down. She opened her calendar app on her phone and smiled. She was free for the entire day. Unless something came up, she could just say that she was going to check out a new listing and then leave early. She took another sip of her coffee and then looked at her computer screen. She was not sure what she was looking at but soon enough, she could smell a very familiar scent. She didn’t even know why, but her heart was beating faster all of a sudden.

“Hi Julie,” she heard Steven’s unmistakable voice. She looked up and saw a dashing Steven looking down at her.

“Steven…hi. What are you doing here?” she gasped hoping that she was masking her surprise.

“I guess this is the only place I could be sure I would find you. Someone has been quite hard to track down lately,” he said as he sat down in front of her desk.

“Not really….I’ve just been…” her words trailed off when she realized that she had absolutely no lies to tell him. She took a long deep breath and sighed. “I’m sorry,” she said in defeat.

“I’m beginning to think that this has become our deal,” he said as he crossed his legs.

“What has?” she asked looking at him.

“You know, pulling a disappearing act every time we see each other naked,” he replied.

“Shhh!” Julie exclaimed in a loud whisper as she looked around nervously. She looked at him and sighed.

“This is not a good time. I’m kind of…” “Busy?” he asked cutting her short. “Really, that’s the best you could come up with? I found you browsing and if you want I could talk to Dana and get a few hours with you, billable of course,” he said. Julie raised an eyebrow.

“I think you just called me a whore in so many words,” she gibed.

“Yeah, it sounded really smart in my head. Not so much out loud,” he said. Julie smiled at him and shook her head. “Come on. Have breakfast with me. I’ve missed you,” he begged. Julie smiled at him, not sure whether to accept his invite or just stay in the office, bored, with nothing to do.

“I have to tell Dana I’m going out,” she said.

“I’ll be right here,” he promised as she pulled away from her desk. “That is one sexy outfit,” he said before giving a long low whistle. She looked at him and wagged her index finger at him.

“This is my place of work!” she whispered angrily.

“No one’s here,” Steven whispered back. She rolled her eyes as she walked to Dana’s office.

“Hey, I’m heading out,” Julie said as she poked her head through Dana’s office door.

“I knew you had plans,” Dana said smiling.

“Hey, this is work related. I’m…uh…going to see Steven…actually he is already here,” Julie informed her, struggling to keep a straight face.

“You and Steven have been meeting a lot lately. Anything I should know?” Dana asked mischievously. Julie rolled her eyes at her.

“If you weren't looking so damn sexy, I would have come there and whooped your ass,” she laughed before walking back to her desk where Steven was. She couldn’t help but notice just how hot he looked. You would think she would have been used to it by now, but she was still getting used to it. Steven was in a black suit, grey shirt and a matching tie. “This guy takes drop dead gorgeous to an entire new level,” she thought as she walked towards him.

“Ready?” he asked. She walked round her desk and switched off her computer and then picked up her phone and handbag before looking at him.

“Sure,” she said. “We can go to this great place a few blocks away. They have the b
est Spanish omelets,” she said when they got to the car. Steven looked at her and smiled.

“Let me worry about where we are eating. You just sit there and look pretty,” he said as Terrence pulled out of the parking lot.

“Seriously, Steven. Some of these things you need to think about before you actually say them,” she warned smiling.

“Don’t worry, point noted,” he said as he leaned in and kissed her. He pulled away but not before continuing to say, “I missed you.”

“I missed you too,” she responded. Steven raised an eyebrow at her.

“Really? Is that why you’ve been ignoring my calls for the past week?” he asked. She gave him a guilty smile and then shook her head. “Or was it payback?”

  She shook her head.

“Well, I…” she started saying before she stopped and looked at Terrence. Steven smiled and then told Terrence to put on some music. Julie laughed and shook her head. This guy was exactly like Christian Grey. They would have been twins if EL James had him in the book.

“You were saying?” he asked when Terrence put on some music. She looked at him and took a long deep breath.

“Well, I was kind of feeling stupid for sleeping with you without any protection on and I didn’t want to insult you…” “You would never insult me,” he said cutting her short yet again. “But I don’t get around and you…you look like a decent woman and like I told you before, my gut has never let me down,” he said. She smiled at him and shrugged.

“Well I went to the doctor anyway,” she said. “And when I got the results I felt….even more silly and then I….you just really scare me, Steven,” she admitted.

  “Scare you? How?” he asked.

Julie replied with the truth,“Because I feel things for you that I haven’t felt for anyone in a really long time.” He tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and smiled.

“I feel the same way,” he confessed as he looked at her. The car came to a halt and Julie’s eyes almost grew ten times their size when she saw where they were. Terrence had parked right outside Amelia’s, the most exclusive restaurant Julie knew of. You had to make a reservation almost two months before you could be guaranteed a table.
