  “Interview me now,” Justin said.

The job was his. Her life was his. “You’d have to work with me every day.”

  “I can handle that.”

“You’d have to anticipate problems before I actually have any.”

“This is sounding better and better.”

“You haven’t heard about the living arrangements yet. My apartment’s pretty small. You’d be forced to share my bed, and I’ll probably roll over on your side most nights.”

He kissed her hard on the mouth. “I’m moving in.”

“If you want a family, you can have mine. They mean well most of the time, but they drive me crazy. You’ll have to ignore them when they start hounding you to pop the question and get me pregnant.”

“Holly,” he stroked his hand over her cheek. “Will you marry me?”

Her heart leapt in her throat. “I didn’t say that to force you to ask me.”

“You didn’t force me to say anything. I’m saying I’m crazy in love with you and want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

“The cards say you should say yes immediately,” Myron yelled from across the room at the front desk.

Holly started laughing, even as her chest ached from tenderness and love. “I know better than to argue with what Myron’s cards tell me to do. They are right every time. Yes, I’ll marry you.”

“Are you saying yes because it’s what you want, though?” Justin asked.

She sat up straight and turned, so she was looking him directly in the eye. “Yes. I love you, Justin Lawson. That’s why I came to the Wiccan Haus to get you back. You are the one man worth fighting for.”

He leaned toward her. “Let me show you how glad I am that you did.” He covered her lips tenderly with his own.

“The cards say you should definitely finish that kiss in your room,” Myron called.

Justin lifted Holly in his arms and carried her straight to the elevator, never limping once.

  Myron cackled behind them.

Holly snuggled against his chest. She was right where she wanted to be. She’d fought for her man, and they’d both won the love of a lifetime.

To Dominick Eastwick, promotion genius and the mastermind behind the Wiccan Haus, this book wouldn’t exist without you! To Celina Summers, thank you for taking a chance on a slush pile author. To Kelly Shorten, thank you for the fantastic covers. I only drooled on this one a little—okay, a lot! To Kerry Mand, nothing makes me feel more like a “real” author than that royalty check arriving in the mail. To Coreen Montagna, thank you for making my books look so pretty. Last but definitely not least, a huge thank you to my amazing, smart, funny editor Elizabeth Silver who not only fixes my many comma errors and typos, but figures out a way to make my characters stronger and my plots believable. You make me a better writer. Thank you!
