He took her hand and spirited her away to the dance floor, where they laughed, and clapped, and showed everyone just how much in love they were.
This was sheer bliss.
She had her Freddie, and her life was almost complete. Now, all she needed was to make use of that nursery.
Freddie brought her in close, and whispered in her ear, “I think we should sit the next set out, I don’t want you to overtire yourself…I have big plans for you and I later on tonight.”
“Oh, do you, sir?”
“Aye, my lady,” he whispered. “I plan to worship you from head to toe. And if I have my way, you shan’t get much sleep.”
“I look forward to it.”
“I love you, Julia,” he whispered.
“I love you, too, Freddie. My darling Mouse.”
Freddie smiled. He had the mistress of his heart, and life was wonderful. After such a hard life, he never thought he’d find out that dreams really did come true. True love really did exist.
