  Dear Reader,

First and foremost, thank you for reading! I'm glad you finished the book. (Unless you skipped to the end. In that case, I apologize for failing to meet your expectations.) Your readership is truly invaluable – I can't thank you enough. As usual, this was a product of genuine passion. Mr. Snuff was fueled by my love for storytelling and dark fiction. Although I pride myself in delivering uncompromising stories, this book was not intended to offend or appall. If any of the content in this book offended you, please accept my sincerest apologies.

Mr. Snuff was inspired by the classic revenge-thriller/vigilante-justice formula. It is not inspired by a particular novel or film, but it is generally inspired by the genre as a whole. Whether it was Death Wish or Death Sentence, it really did not matter. I've always been fascinated with the concept. Fortunately, I have not experienced an event like this – a slain family member or close friend. However, I have thought deeply about it. What would you do if your daughter were murdered? Or even your best friend? Would you seek vengeance if the police failed to apprehend the suspect? Or you would you move on? Those are questions I wanted to tackle with Russell Wheeler.

Of course, it was also inspired by snuff films in general. Now, I did not watch any snuff films to write this book. I'm sure it would have helped with the accuracy of the book, but I generally prefer to stick to fictional violence over reality. Every scene in this book is a product of my wicked imagination. The idea of recording murder for sick pleasure is, well, sickening. And, if you've read some of my other books, I enjoy delving into dark and depraved subjects. I'm not ecstatic to read about snuff films and vicious murder, but the human mind is fascinating – the darkness is captivating.

For my sake, I have to point out: real snuff films are illegal in most cases. Hell, I'm assuming it's illegal in all cases. Yes, indeed, purchasing and possessing obscene materials, like a real snuff film, is against the law and I strongly condemn it. Even if it weren't against the law, it is immoral. I must urge you to stick with fiction for your horror needs. Fortunately, this book is a product of my wicked imagination. (Did I drill that in deep enough? This is not real, so please don't blame me for anything in this book.)

Anyway, if you enjoyed this book, please leave an honest review on Amazon.com. Your review is incredibly significant. In fact, my career depends on your review. Your review will help me improve on future books and it will help other readers find this book. The more readers I garner, the more I can write. So, if you liked this book, a review will help me release more. It will also allow me to gauge interest for certain genres and themes. Would you like to see a similar revenge-thriller/vigilante-justice book? Were you unsatisfied with the ending? Your words have the power to influence my writing – please use them wisely.

Also, feel free to share this book with your friends and family. Tweet it to your followers on Twitter, share it with your friends and family on Facebook, lend it to them, or even read it to them over the phone or video chat. Birthday, holiday, or special event coming up? Buy them a copy as a gift. Word-of-mouth is a superb method in supporting independent authors – and it's mostly free. My life consists of cheap noodles, tap water, and my neighbor's TV (I need new binoculars to peep through his window), I need your support to sustain this 'thrifty' lifestyle.

Finally, if you enjoy scary stories, feel free to visit my Amazon's Author page. I've published over a dozen horror anthologies. Looking for another revenge-thriller? I highly recommend reading my shocking thriller, The Harbinger of Vengeance: A Revenge Thriller. The ending will haunt you! Enjoy serial killer fiction? You should check out my horror/thriller, Sinister Syndromes. The book follows two killers on opposite ends of the spectrum. When they clash, blood is spilled throughout a dilapidated city. Furthermore, many of my books are available on Kindle Unlimited! I publish books frequently, so please keep your eyes peeled for the next release. I'm currently working on a slasher inspired by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Psycho. Once again, thank you for reading. Your readership has kept me going through my darkest times and I am forever grateful.

Until our next venture into the dark and disturbing,

  Jon Athan
