Some Sunny Day

‘Rosie, what are you doing?’
‘I’m decorating the Christmas tree, what does it look like?’ Rosie laughed.
Ricardo had brought home the Christmas tree earlier in the day and Rosie had set to making what decorations she could. Ricardo had come home earlier than she had expected, and now, as she stood on a stool trying to reach to the top of the tree, Ricardo held out his arms to her. When she saw the look of passionate adoration in his eyes Rosie’s laughter died, to be replaced by a soft betraying blush.
‘Don’t look at me like that,’ she protested shyly.
‘Why not?’ Ricardo demanded. ‘Surely now I can look at you with all that I feel about you, my Rosie.’
Rosie didn’t bother to reply. She was too busy enjoying the way he was kissing her.
