She giggled.
“Anyway, the only gift I want from you is for you to give yourself to me every day, my love. That is all. And maybe wear those stockings every once in a while.” A wolfish grin crossed his face.
“That I can do,” she said, her heart full.
“You know what else I want to do for you?” he asked.
“What?”
“I want to get you a proper Christmas tree.” He jerked his thumb at the pitiful fake tree on the coffee table.
“I’ll bet you can get a great deal on one,” she said, looking at her watch. It was half-past ten.
They laughed. “We might have an hour before the last ones are gone…” James traced the curve of her hip with his index finger.
“It has been a few days, Daddy.” She looked at the ceiling. “And I have missed you.”
“You’ve missed Daddy, have you?”
“Yes.”
“You haven’t been playing with my little pussy, have you?”
She opened her eyes wide and shook her head no.
“Good girl. Then go into my room and undress. Except for these stockings. Get into these. Then kneel on the floor, hands behind your back, and wait for me.”
A tremor of pleasure travelled all the way to her toes and she answered saucily, “Yes, Sir, Daddy.”
Her fingers touched the collar, snug beside her skin. He loved her. And she loved him.
She’d finally found the place she could call home. Wherever James was.
It’s good to be home. Marley scooped up the stockings and skipped all the way to his room.
