Catching Her Mates

“Are we ready for the ceremony now?” Ethan asked.

“Yes, we are.” Judge nodded and stepped back. He strolled around behind her.

“Please begin with the claiming.” Ethan stepped back into the circle around them.

John moved to her right and Archer to her left. John put his hand on her right arm. Archer slid his fingers over her left. Judge’s palms smoothed over her shoulder. She licked her lips.

“You’re the center of our world, the heart of our new family.” John squeezed her fingers.

“You are our light, the shining blaze in the darkest of nights.” Judge slid his fingers down to her upper arms.

“You are our heaven, the solace at the end of our long days.” Archer lifted her hand to his lips.

Her eyes stung, and tears gathered. She blinked. Don’t cry. Not yet. Can’t sound all whiny giving them my words.

“Archer, Judge, John, you are my strength when I feel as if I have none. You are my sun, chasing away the darkness and fear. You are my forever, giving me what I thought was out of my reach.” Leslie swallowed hard.

“The day we found you was a new beginning for us.” John leaned in.

His teeth sank into her shoulder. She tensed and hissed. Fuck. The sting sliced through her. He stepped back.

Archer eased close to her. “We’ll hold tight through the good days and stand together on the bad.”

His breath puffed over her skin. The sharp points of his teeth sank into her skin. She bunched her fists. Pain slashed into her.

Judge pressed against her back. “You’re our life and our love. We claim you this day before our family, friends, and pride.”

Judge’s mouth closed over her shoulder, and his tongue flicked across the skin. A moment later, he bit. She gasped and reached back to him. Her fingers brushed his suit pants, but he lapped her shoulder once more before moving back.

She straightened. Can’t grab them yet. Once we’re finished, I can drag them all out onto the dance floor and get in some socially acceptable groping. “You three hold my heart. You are my life. I love you, and I claim you this day in front of our family, friends, and pride.”

“I now proclaim this family formally mated.” Ethan stepped up and put his hand on John’s shoulders. “Kiss her if you want, but it’s time to start the party.”

Laughter rolled through the room. The heavy, fast beat of dance music pulsed, and the lights lowered. Leslie smiled as John drew her close.

“Our alpha is such a show-off.” John nuzzled her neck. “I love you, my mate.”

“And I love you, my mate.” She kissed his cheek. “It’s formal now. You’re mine.”

“We always were.” Archer tugged her free of John and wrapped his arms around her. “I love you so much.”

“No more than I love you.” She framed his face and pressed her lips to his, savoring the warmth, the pressure of his lips and soft flick of his tongue.

“Let me get in on this lovefest.” Judge tugged her out of Archer’s arms.

She slid her arms around him and leaned into him. “I always enjoy it when you join in.”

“I love you, my angel.” Judge cupped her cheek and nibbled on her lip.

“And I love you, my mate.” She rose on tiptoe to press against him.

“Are you ready to dance, eat, and have fun before we steal you away to go home and have our own party?” John eased up beside her.

“Yes, let’s celebrate with everyone and go home to have our own bash.” Leslie patted his arm. “Because I can’t wait to be with my three men. I can’t wait to start our future. Maybe even a bigger family.”

“Oh, damn, angel, you can’t say things like that and expect me to function coherently.” John pressed his lips to her neck. “Now, all I can think about is you round and pregnant with our cubs.”

“We’ll have a week, maybe two, to make sure it’s what everyone wants, but I had my implant removed.” She reached up and stroked her cheek. “I’m ready to have everything with my mates.”
