“Thousands of inhabited planets? How? Even now, the Americans and the Russians have gotten no further than the moon.”

“Hassan, my great great grandfather, Emmanuel Duah, had bought this device from a silver miner. Since then, the device had been kept secretly in our family cave vault along with an old composition journal.”

“Ahmadou , I simply cannot believe this. What you say is impossible.”

“Hassan,” Ahmed interrupts, “Ahmadou speaks the truth. On the date of 10-Rabi-Awwal-1277, Emmanuel Duah had purchased this device from Daniel Burns.”

“Ahmed,” Hassan interrupts again, “in 1277, no agency on the face of the Earth could have possibly manufactured such a device as this. This device is centuries ahead of anything we have now.”

“You are right,” Ahmadou agrees. “No agency on Earth, then or now, could have manufactured this device. Meiros, the word that you translated, is the name of the planet where this device was originally manufactured.”
