Murder & Mayhem in Scott County, Iowa

Page 11

by John Brassard Jr.

A funeral service was held for Harry Hamilton at Stapleton Funeral Home. The attendees were an odd group. They were old and young, quiet and loud. Hamilton had such a colorful background when he was alive that it should not really come as a surprise that such a diverse group would attend his funeral. After the services were over, his body was taken to Oakdale Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa, and buried in an unmarked grave.

And thus the life of Harry Hamilton came to an end. He started out well enough and then fell into a criminal lifestyle that he could never quite break free of. Eventually, it would cost Hamilton his life.
