“Yes, you do, Maddie.” He said. “You're the mate of the alpha. By wolf law you have the same rights as Weston does. As for your signature it's all right here in black and white.”
“Impossible!” I cried out in rage.
“Maddie wouldn't do that!” The teenage Sasha growled.
Weston's little sister had taken to me quickly. She was my favorite member of the pack. It tore at my heart to hear her defending my guilty ass. I hadn't signed a contract to sell the pack's land, but I had agreed to help Mr. Kilton.
“Let me see the contract.” Weston said holding out his hand.
My mate looked calm, but I could see the fury building in his eyes. The hair on the back of his neck was standing up. I couldn't allow him to hurt Mr. Kilton, because I knew his partner would use the lock of my hair to harm me.
Without looking at it Weston tore the contract to shreds and threw the pieces into the air. Mr. Kilton gasped in shock and the vein in his forehead bulged out.
“I don't know how you do things around here, but tearing up a copy of the contract doesn't change anything.” The lawyer said.
“You're contract is worthless.” Weston laughed. “I don't own the land. The pack owns the land. All of our names are listed, if you don't have all of our signatures you have nothing, Kilton!”
“Do you really want to start this war?” Mr. Kilton directed his words towards me. “I could rip your little fairytale life apart and you know it!”
I had to resist the urge to spit in his face. Until I got the lock of hair back he owned my soul and my future was in his hands.
“Do you really know the witch you call your mate, Weston?” Mr. Kilton asked.
“I do.” Weston said narrowing his brown eyes.
“Do you know she used a love spell to get your attention?” The lawyer asked.
Weston opened his mouth to speak and then looked at me. I leaned back against his truck and closed my eyes. I didn't have the guts to look him in the eyes.
“Yes, we knew.” Said a female voice.
My eyes opened and my head swerved in the direction of the speaker. It was Delta, Weston's grandmother, and the pack's wise woman. In simpler terms, the pack's witch.
“The lore spoke of it.” Delta said as she approached Mr. Kilton. “But the effects of such a spell can only last so long. Maddie is Weston's mate now. It doesn't matter what choices led her to him. She is one of us.”
Weston held out his hand and I took it. I shivered in fear of what would happen next. My imagination was running away with me and I felt my heart thumping against my chest. It was hard to breathe and I feared that my punishment had already began.
Weston pulled me into his arms and held me close. I concentrated on trying to breathe normally, but it felt impossible.
“You're okay, Maddie.” My mate whispered to me.
My mind fogged over and I don't remember the rest of the argument between Delta and Mr. Kilton, but whatever she said made him take his machines and leave. The pack slowly went back to what they were doing leaving Weston and I alone. When my pulse finally returned to normal I looked up at him.
“Did you really know?” I asked him.
Weston nodded. “Yea, but it didn't matter. The spell might have helped fulfill the lore, but it doesn't change anything. I love you, Maddie. You are my mate.”
I leaned up and kissed him passionately. He was more than I deserved. How could someone as good as Weston love me so deeply? My mate scoped me up and carried me inside. I wrapped my arms around his neck and clung to him. Hot tears streamed down my cheeks as regret, fear, and relief mingled in my soul.
“I love you.” I whispered against Weston's chest.
“I love you too.” He said as he lay me down on the bed.
My death grip forced him to fall onto me. He smiled at me and wiped away my tears. I gently touched his face as I looked into his deep brown eyes. They were filled with love, concern, and hunger. My pussy grew wet as I studied his expression.
I could feel that he was hard again. I arched my hips up pinning his erection between our bodies. Weston kissed me deeply and scraping his teeth against my lips. I moaned into the kiss and let the rest of the world slip away. It could wait. Contracts, spells, lawyers, and wolves alike. They could all wait. I wanted my mate.
Weston nibbled my bottom lip and my clit twitched. I ground my hips into his. His manhood was throbbing against my stomach. My mate helped me undress nearly tearing the clothes from my body. He stood over me and looked down with flared nostrils. Weston took a deep breath, and I knew he was taking in the scent of my arousal.
I lay back on the bed with my legs spread. His eyes studied my dripping sex as he approached. Weston moved with a predatory prowess that made my heart race. The look in his eyes told me that I was his prey.
He knelt at the edge of the bed and using my legs pulled my sex to him. Weston lowered his head and kissed my mound. He licked the slit between my lips sending chills of anticipation down my spine. My mate kissed my inner thigh for a second before returning his attention to my hungry sex.
His fingers parted my lips and he licked my sex clean of the wetness. Weston's tongue flicked across the tip of my clit and I drew in a sharp breath. My eyelids fluttered as I entwined my fingers in his hair. I held tight to it as he lapped at my bundle of nerves. His tongue explored my folds and probed into my body.
I pulled his hair as he brought me to orgasm. As I came the world became foggy and distant. At first I thought it was from the sexual high, but then everything changed. I was slipping into a dark void. I clung to Weston as he called my name, but the physical world was slipping away from me.
I don't know how long I was in the void alone, but I cried in relief when I heard Weston's voice call out for me. I could see him moving in the distance and I ran towards him. He wrapped me in his strong arms and pulled me close.
“Maddie!” He exclaimed. “Are you okay?”
“Yes!” I told him. “Mr. Kilton has a lock of my hair. This is his doing!”
“I know.” Weston said. “Delta told me.”
“How did you get in here?” I asked him. “Can you get out?”
“We're not sure.” Weston admitted. “But I didn't want you to be alone. Delta helped me reach you, and she's working to get us out. If anyone can break the spell it's her. I didn't think that the lawyer was a wizard.”
“He's not, but he has enough money to hire any witch or wizard he likes.” I told him.
“It's okay, we're going to be okay.” Weston said.
He kissed me passionately. The feeling was more intense than anything I've ever felt in the waking world. It felt as if he soul was brushing against mine. I wrapped my arms around him and deepened the kiss. Being close to Weston chased away the fear that had been eating at my belly. We fell to the floor in a tangle of limbs, but we didn't break the kiss.
Weston's nude body was pressed against mine and I could tell that we were both ready to make love. It might seem strange to long for your lover in an undefinable void, but it assured me I was still alive. As long as I had Weston by my side I knew that I could handle anything Mr. Kilton or anyone else threw my way.
I gripped his hard organ in my hand and stroked him slowly. My hand worked over him again and again. Up and down, up and down. I reveled in the power that I felt when I held Weston in my hand. He might be an alpha male, but when I held onto his organ he was mine and nothing but.
Weston renewed our kiss and his tongue danced around mine. I squeezed his hard-on as I enjoyed the warmth of his mouth. He moaned into the kiss and I smiled in satisfaction. I loved to know that I was making him weak in the knees.
I guided his throbbing organ into my body and wrapped my arms around him. My hips arched urging him on until my body possessed his entirety. We quickly find our rhythm and our pace quickens. Our needs are mutually urgent. I can't get enough of him.
I wrap my legs around his waist allowing him to penetrate me deeper. Our kiss deepens as o
ur bodies move frantically. I've almost forgotten where we are. I've almost forgotten that we could be in danger. All that matters now is our satisfaction.
My eyes roll back in my head as the heat in belly intensified. I cried out in pleasure and dug my nails into Weston's back. My hips moved to meet his thrusts and my mound tightened around him. I felt as if I was trying to suck him deeper into my body. His manhood twitched and brushed against my g-spot.
“Weston!” I cried out as I came harder than I ever had before.
I panted as I tried to keep up with my mate's frantic movements. My orgasm clouded my mind and made it hard to think. I lay under him reveling in the pleasure that washed over me every time he moved. Weston continued to thrust hard even after his seed exploded into my womb. He continued to move in and out of me until every last drop of semen had been milked from his organ. Weston's howls of pleasure echoed around the void.
My mate collapsed on top of me panting. Our bodies quivered in pleasure as we clung to one another. I feel asleep with Weston still inside of my body.
For as long as I can remember I have dreamed every night of my life. Since I've been in the void I haven't had a single dream. Everyday I feel less alive than the day before. Weston denies it, but I know this horrid place is having the same affect on him. I've told him to leave again and again, but he refuses to listen to me. I'm grateful for his presence, but if this is to be the end of me I want to know that he lives on. If I am to fade away in this lifeless void I want to do so with the knowledge that somewhere in the waking world my beautiful mate is running free through the forest. Mr. Kilton couldn't have known that Weston would be able to follow me, but my real punishment has become watching the only man I've ever loved fade away with me.
We lay together in silence for unmeasurable lengths of time as we watch the distant red fog move closer. It crawls at the speed of a turtle crossing a street, but I know when it reaches us it will be the end. I don't know how long it's been since Weston arrived, but it feels like years. I can't help but to wonder how my grandmother and the pack fares. Has Delta given up on freeing us or is she still working with the determination of the wolf?
My fear of dying has long since disappeared taking my will to live with it. My only hope is that I can convince Weston to leave before it's too late. I wonder if he's tried, but failed. If he's trapped here with me I will take my guilt to the grave and into the next life.
I lay my head on Weston's strong chest and cry in defeat. There is nothing left for us to do, but spend the rest of our time together. He strokes my hair gently.
“Delta's going to get us out of here.” He whispers to me.
“If she can.” I sob.
“Stop crying!” Weston snaps. “The more you cry the quicker the fog moves.”
I look up and see that he's right. Taking a deep breath I try to pull myself together. Weston caresses my face and kisses me gently.
“We're going to make it out of here.” He says. “And when we do I'm going to rip Kilton and anyone else involved apart.”
A smile spreads across my face as an idea occurs to me. “We need to move away from the fog. It's only on one side of us.”
Weston kisses me again and we help one another to stand. My legs feel wobbly and numb. It's been too long since I've moved and walking is painful. Weston entwines his fingers in mine and slowly we begin to walk away from the red fog. We can see a white light in the distance. We have no way of knowing what awaits us there, but it's the only choice. The red fog doesn't seem to be chasing us. It moves at its slow pace regardless of how fast or slowly we walk. A small voice in the back of my mind fears that the red fog is meant to drive us into the white light. Maybe the white light is the enemy.
I don't voice my concerns to Weston, because I have no proof either way. I'm terrified of the white light and the red fog, but we have chosen our course. Silently I pray that Delta can free us before we have to face either force.
I don't believe we'll survive much longer, but at least we're together. I've given up on making Weston leave. If the situation was reversed I'd never leave him to die alone. I'd stay with him to the very last breath of my life.

Love Spells and Wolf Lore -
Illusions and Loyalty
by
Susan Woodward
I called out in frantic protest as Weston ran head first into the white light. Fear paralyzed me as my mind ran wild with possibilities of what could be happening to my mate inside the light. It was my fault that he acted so irrationally. I told him what I had suspected about the white light being the real enemy and the red light being the means of pushing us into it. He told me he would test the theory and that if he died I knew that the white light wasn't the way.
Tears stung my eyes as my shocked mind tried to decide what to do. I wanted to follow Weston. I felt obligated to follow him. After all he was only in this predicament because of me. The red fog moved more quickly forcing me to act. Following my instinct I ran into the fog crying out for Weston.
When I opened my eyes I found myself in a forest that looked almost identical to the pack's territory, but my well-trained eyes knew that it wasn't. The trees were wrong and I didn't smell the food cooking. Delta was always cooking and the scent of it could be smelled for miles through the forest.
“Weston!” I called out again.
I hear running and tense for an attack. I sigh in relief when Weston comes into view. His muscular form is a welcome sight, but I'm confused at the happiness that is dancing through his brown eyes. He scooped me into his arms and spun me around.
“We're on the right track!” He declares before his lips lock to mine.
I break the kiss and pull away from him. “No, Weston, this place isn't our forest.”
“But it has to be close. My nose doesn't lie.” Weston declares.
“This is magic, Weston. Powerful and dark magic. It can make everything lie.” I whisper as I realized he's being pulled into the illusion.
I'm suddenly overwhelmingly grateful for all the training my grandmother made me go through to learn about illusions and how to tell them apart from reality. Even now in this far away place I feel like she is helping me.
“Maddie, a wolf's nose never lies.” He grins at me.
For a moment I'm tempted to give into that grin and the illusion. All I want if for my mate to be happy. Weston pulls me close to him again and renews the kiss. Something occurs to me and I pull away. This is illusion too. He doesn't taste right.
The fake Weston disappears and I'm surrounded by only the white light again. My disbelief finally managed to break the illusion. I know I have to find Weston soon. If he gives into the illusion too much I might never be able to get him out of it.
I don't know how long it took me to find him, because time was even more distorted inside the white light. I cried out in desperate relief when Weston came into view. He was sitting cross-legged on the ground talking animatedly as if he was telling our adventures in the void to a group of onlookers.
“Weston!” I called out to him.
My mate didn't even acknowledge my presence. I called out his name again, shaking him this time. Time was running out. Not knowing what else to do I put my hands on either side of his face and kissed him passionately. My tongue forced its way inside his mouth and danced with his. He startled and nearly pulled away from me, but at the last second I felt him return the kiss. Tears of joy and relief fell from my eyes as Weston pulled me close to his body.
