The sound of her struggle was the music that drove him wild. Delia knew from this moment forward things were going to get a lot more intense and she braced herself. She was more prepared now to welcome his savagery than she was seven years ago. What Aster did not know when he led her by the hair to his room was that Delia was fighting to suppress her own strength.

Aster was right when he suspected that her scent was supernatural because that is exactly what she was. The eyes in her tattoo was a reminder of just how she became a member of his world. It happened the very night that she first devoured her.

Aster clasped the cold metal handcuffs on his bed post around her wrists. She could have easily broken free but she hung on to give him what he wanted. Her red dress was in the way of what he was trying to achieve, so he tore it off her. Delia hadn’t worn underwear because her line of work did not require them unless they were specifically requested. Aster took the rope that he kept nearby and tied one of her ankles to the post that she hung from and the other he left free to be his anchor.

This was the hundredth position he had conjured when he became aware of her flexibility. He could never achieve this kind of excitement with a human. Aster pressed his palm into the leg that was free, spreading it so wide that her lips parted and he saw deep into the tunnel he was about to fill. He poised his muscular frame over her and sank his sex into her hole. Delia howled at the sensation his first entry made.

Aster could see the tension that the contorted position he placed her in caused. Her face reddened and his eyes caught fire with the image. Aster dug until she cried out his name signaling her intention to erupt.

As her essence poured freely out in her exhale he drank of it in the peak of her pleasure. Her force was abundant and unrelenting. Aster gorged taking advantage of the rare opportunity to feed like this. It made up for the meal he had missed earlier and felt as though it was enough to last him centuries.

Delia could no longer conceal the truth, she broke free of the cuffs to his amazement and with an unexpected swiftness she reversed their positions. Aster felt the weight of her power pinning him to the bed. Her green eyes had gone as dark as her hair and white fangs emerged from her lips. She bit him faster than he could make sense of what was happening. Her penetration was a small exciting pain that kept his sex firm inside her even though it had already bled out the contents of his sacs.

As his blood leapt from his veins into her mouth he surrendered. Unlike him she drank only a little until the aftershocks of her climax wore off. She stayed for a while with his flesh still deep inside her, trembling as her fangs retracted and her eyes returned to normal. Aster would have kept her there even longer because his sex felt at home right where it was.

She eventually came off to settle beside him. It took him a few seconds to recover fully before he shifted placing all of his weight on the elbow closest to her, so he could reach his other hand across her chest. He did not need to ask what she was because she showed him but that was only part of what she came to do. For now Delia felt that it was enough.

DAWN was fast approaching and Delia was out of time. She had to leave Aster sleeping to retire in her own nest until another night came around. Aster woke to find that the vampire he was cradling just a few hours ago was gone. All that was left of her was her lingering scent and essence inside him. Aster knew instinctively that she had gone to the ground.

As Delia slept, the night played over and over in her mind. She could not wait to return to finish what she had started. Aster needed to know the truth, not that she was a Vampire but what really happened to Emily and how it related to the murder of her friend. Aster’s life was in mortal danger and he did not know.

As Aster recounted the highlights of their encounter, he got the sinking feeling that there was more that Delia had to tell him. The questions that he wanted to ask her had resurfaced and he could not wait for the day to end so that he could see her and ask them. He still needed answers about her connection to the murder of her roommate.

He wanted to know why she could not be found after she called the police. He wanted to know a lot of things but he had a whole day to wait until he could make any headway into getting those answers. Aster decided that he would start first by finding Miss Carver but a call from Lewis beat him to the punch.

Miss Carver was found dead in her home. The killer had struck again and seemed as though he was targeting those that he had an intimate affiliation to. Delia was in the ground somewhere and Aster shuddered at the thought that she would be next.

  Feral Hearts

Silent Falls was a town teeming with many believers in the supernatural. Selena Stark was one of them. Reverently believing in the things science struggled to explain, Selena’s mind was open and uninhibited. Standing a few inches above six feet, with legs that seemed endless, Selena was a vision.

Her golden hair and enchanting blue orbs, commanded the attention of the beholder. Selena’s obsession with the supernatural world brought her dangerously close to death as she foolishly tried to pursue a creature she suspected of being a werewolf. Spending most of her days out in the woods, drawing images of the animals that aroused suspicion, Selena feared little about the densely wooded forest. A few houses away from her home lived a young man named Michael Rowan. In spite of living houses apart, Michael and Selena never crossed paths.

Michael was equally wrapped up in the trappings of the legends and myths. Michael stood tall and striking with long dark hair that he allowed to grow past his shoulders. Taking his brooding posture, dark complexion and hair from his father, Michael was impossibly hard to resist. He loved to go hunting with his father. Half Cherokee, his father was a former chief of an old Indian tribe. Barely speaking English, Asim did his best to stay true to the old ways.

He filled Michael’s head with the many stories that he was once told by his parents. It was tradition. A natural born hunter, Michael loved the forests and the many legends his father spoke of. Michael was especially taken with the one about the wolves of Silent Falls. His father told him a great tale about a man that got bitten by a wolf years ago and turned into the very creature that bit him.

It was in the very woods that he made his first kill that he came across the likes of Selena. Instantly taken with the hapless stranger Michael fell head over heels in love with her. Rescuing her from an almost deadly encounter with a werewolf, Michael thought that he found a kindred spirit in her. Likewise Selena felt drawn to the charming Halfling. When Michael brought a bleeding Selena to his father for help, Asim instantly recognized the infectious bite of the wolf of lore and warned his son of the impending heartbreak that he would endure if he allowed himself to fall for her.

Michael ignored his father’s words of caution, refusing to deny the panting of his heart. Selena could not tear herself away from Michael. But the more she learned about her condition, the greater her concerns grew and Asim’s words rang truer as the time rolled on. Her 21st birthday came and Selena began to have visions of the wolf raging inside her. It was confirmation of Asim’s words. With Selena converted, Michael had no choice but to accept the truth.

Michael and Selena made love passionately and intensely while the rain fell and drowned out the sound of their moaning. Michael bit her nipples hard, while she dug her finger nails into his side. With his thick throbbing sex buried deep into her snatch, Selena kissed him so hard that his lips bruised. He pulled her long golden tress, yanking her neck back as she groaned in delight. Pursing her hands around his neck she choked him as she begged for more.

Michael pulled himself out of her to insert his wet sex into her mouth with such force that it touched the back of her throat making her gag. Selena licked the moistur
e that leaked out of her lips as he spat into his hand and rubbed the moisture around the rim of her ass before thrusting his thick sex in past the threshold. It was the last time that they would ever make love this way.

The time had come for Selena to make the change. Michael’s father had warned him that they had only a few years left to spend with each other. She had been bitten and on the fullest moon following her 21st year, she would change. Selena packed up her things, boxing up her precious jewels and carting off her clothing rack rest permanently in the attic. Her heart was heavy.

Neither of them wanted to part but it would be impossible for them to continue living together once she changed. Michael gazed warily at the calendar, the date of the full moon shaded out. It had been this way ever since his father told them what would happen. But no amount of planning could prepare them for the most gut wrenching part of separation. It did not matter how many times they talked about it or even played it out as though they were auditioning for a role, the end would always be the same.

Michael drove his Chevy out to the clearing a short distance from the woods. Selena slipped out holding her shoulders as the blast of cold air assaulted her simple frame. Michael took her trembling hand and led her out into the dense forest. It was all going as planned until Selena began to protest. Unwilling to accept the inevitable, she pressed Michael for the alternative that simply did not exist.

“Tell me again, why you wish to leave me here alone” Selena asked Michael who had suddenly turned cold.

His distance was testing, infuriating even and Selena felt as though she was teetering close the edge of erupting into a fit of rage.

“Because Selena, the time has come for us to part” Michael returned matter-of-factually.

It was as if the last two years they spent together suddenly meant nothing.

“Do you think this is easy for me? He snapped catching Selena by surprise.

“You sure make it look that way!” Selena hit him back.

It wasn’t her intention to be cruel, but the cavalier way in which he brought her out to the middle of the forest, made her boil. Selena always knew that this day would come and that she and Michael would have to put an end to their affair but like him she got caught up in enticement of a possible happy ending.

“And what am I to do after you’ve left me” she whined.

Michael rubbed his temples deliberately as though her words made his head sore. Selena was wandering dangerously close to invoking his rage. She persisted and Michael shook her sober.

“Get a hold of yourself” he charged. “In a few minutes if I’m still here, all you will want to do is rip my throat out”

Selena knew full well that he spoke the truth. The change was upon her and soon as the moon was at its fullest, she wouldn't even remember her name. Her humanity was about to be taken for good. A sharp pain signaled the start her agonizing transformation. Selena winced. Still trying her best to hold on to the last moments she could spend with Michael, she stifled the pain.

The full moon hung wearily over the woods. In the distance the grey wolf stood stall and howled. His cries filled the air and briefly broke the silence. Michael knew he could wait no longer.

“Take care Selena” he bid her farewell and ran as quickly as he could through the thickness of the forest to the car.

Selena’s body quaked violently as her bones broke causing her to crumble to the ground. She screamed, then growled, then hollered and then howled as her humanity struggled to keep its hold on her. But the moon was at its fullest and nothing, not even her will could stop the change from happening. Her howls landed softly on William’s ear as he sniffed the air about him to locate her. William had waited a long time to finally have her within his realm.

Michael got out of the car a short distance away, to listen hear her final cries. He resented having to leave the woman he had loved almost his entire life, but he knew that she was no longer a woman and he had to be contented with the memories of the times they shared.

William made his way down the mountain and through the forest, closely following Selena’s howls. The closer he got her scent deepened and soon he was upon her. Selena lay hunched over, her coat thick and wet, as she trembled during the final stages. William kept a safe distance because he knew that in her first moments, she would be disoriented and could easily view him as a threat.

He stayed hidden among the cluster of shrubs. Selena said goodbye to the fleeting memories of her human past. She licked the light brown fur than ran into a lighter hue along the length of her front paw. Looking down at her stomach, she glared at the six knobs that replaced her two large breasts. A little further down her swollen sex gleamed. She adjusted quickly to her own scent.

In Silent Falls, the town where Selena had spent the last two years of her life, Michael returned to the attic where she stored her things before he took her out to the forest to change. He sifted through her clothes that were still fresh with her scent. He made his way down to her room that she’d emptied a few hours earlier, the mattress bare from being stripped of its dressing. She had only spent the last three months in that room because of her fits it was safer that she slept there instead of their bed. Michael sighed at the empty room.

Selena caught the scent of William and sprang to her new feet, crumbling quickly after. She still needed to get used to her new form. Not knowing if he was a threat or not, she growled at him, warning of her intent to attack if he made any movement towards her. William knew instinctively that her threats were empty, since she did not yet know how to control her limbs. He cautiously approached her, first letting his glowing orbs emerge out of the darkness so that the light of the moon could illuminate his impressive form.

The crackling of the fire raging in the fireplace was maddening to Michael, only because its warmth failed to sooth him. With Selena gone he did not know how possible it would be for him to move on. Even though he had two years to mull over the idea of finding someone to fill the void losing Selena would create, he still found it difficult to begin the long journey to getting over her. Selena had brought so much happiness to his life, from the moment he met her in the woods and she saved his life.

William nudged dangerously close to a nervous Selena. Her hollow eyes narrowed and the skin above her snout wrinkled up to expose her menacing white canines. He lowered his head and whimpered almost to reassure her that he was not a threat. She snapped violently at him, almost catching his face in her deadly jaw. Thankful to his sharp reflexes, William stumbled back to recover from his near death attack.

He glared at her. She needed to calm down. He tilted his head to the side as she kept her eyes fixed on his every move. Inside Selena felt the searing heat of fear, burning a hole inside her chest. She did not know the creature standing before her. Her brain was still conditioning itself. William’s patience was dwindling. She should know him by now and even if she didn’t at least she should be able to understand him.

Selena’s eyes grew large as her fresh mind began to fill with the memories she had buried as a child. She saw herself as a young girl being dragged into the forest by a large black wolf. She remembered the pain she felt as his teeth bore into her flesh. It was as fresh as if she had just been bitten. Then she saw another wolf, grey and much smaller than the fearsome creature that held her in his jaw. The young wolf charged at the larger one, snatching him by the throat and throwing his weight on him.

The wolf released her in an instant and tumbled over with the force of the much younger wolf. The black wolf could have easily killed the younger one, but when it released him, he just shook his head and ran off. The grey wolf then came to her and began to lick the wound on her leg. Startled by the sound of a rifle going off, the young wolf bolted. It was then that Michael who had been out hunting with his father found her.

William felt relief sweep through his frame as he noticed her anxiety subsiding. The skin above her snout relaxed and stretched out to cover her teeth. Her eyes centered as she calmed
down. He took his chance to approach her again and this time she received him with a soothing lick to the face. William had been waiting for her ever since the day he licked her wound. He brushed his nose against her cheek and greeted her. Instinctively her tail rose to allow him to sniff her. After acquainting themselves the way wolves do William goaded her to stand. It was time to leave the place they were and retire in his den for the night.
