They both nodded to Rock and Jag and then gave her a kind smile. She smiled back as the sun caught the pendant the man wore around his neck. He’s wearing a St. Christopher’s medal? She wanted to ask where he’d gotten it, but the couple stopped to look at swaths of fabric on a table. Rock and Jag led her down another path away from all the crowds. Jag stopped at the last vender and traded for an odd-shaped brown lump before they left the market. As they walked he sliced it open with a knife he’d tucked into his boot. The inside of the lump was a soft pink color and looked somewhat like the inside of a cantaloupe. He carved out a thick sliver and held it up to Destiny’s lips. “Try this.”

Destiny stopped and reached up to take the piece off Jag’s knife, but Rock wrapped his arms around her and trapped her hands. “Let him feed you, Atan.” He pressed a kiss to the sensitive skin beneath her ear and whispered, “Open your mouth and lick that fruit like you would his cock.”

Destiny smiled and gently wrapped her lips around the soft fruit and sucked on it lightly as she pulled her mouth off it. Jag’s eyes flashed emerald and she felt a surge of female power. The fruit was delicious and she opened her mouth again and licked the edge of the fruit as Jag watched her tongue. She didn’t know if there were any people around them watching nor did she care. Rock and Jag didn’t seem too concerned, so why should she?

This time she sucked a little harder on the slice and it melted against her tongue. Sweet melon, rose water, and mint flavors washed over her tongue as she ate the piece of fruit. “That’s delicious. What’s it called?”

“Lolyich.” Jag cut off another slice and popped that one in his mouth. “This is how you’re supposed to eat it.” With that he bent down and kissed her, stroking his tongue against hers as the fruit melted between their tongues and the unique flavor released into their kiss.

Destiny felt as though her head was spinning. She’d never really been seduced before and this was more than she’d ever expected. They didn’t care that they were standing in the middle of a crowd and at this moment neither did she. If they wanted to take her in front of the entire market, she would happily do it. Whatever would help keep this magical feeling rushing through her veins.

Rock continued to press kisses against her bare shoulders and up the side of her neck. His hands slid over her hips as Jag made love to her mouth. She was so wet she feared it might start to trickle down her legs and all she could imagine was one of them sliding their hand under the slit in her skirt and giving her some relief. She pressed herself back against Rock, who stood close enough that she could feel his hard cock against her lower back.

She wiggled her hips back against him and his fingers tightened as he ground his cock against her. “You’re playing with fire, woman.” His voice was like a growl in her ear. “We’re not going to fuck you here in front of crowds of people, but if you’re not careful I’ll bend you over the dinner table tonight and fuck you in front of all the warriors and let them watch as you scream out your release.”

A mental picture formed in her head and she felt a surge of arousal. She never thought the idea of having sex in front of people would be as arousing. Who knew I was an exhibitionist? Certainly not her last boyfriend. He’d liked it under the covers with the lights off. At the time she’d thought something was wrong with her, but maybe it was him?

Jag lifted his face from her and looked down at her. His green eyes were blazing with passion and hunger. He looked down and smiled at her breasts. She knew her nipples were hard and must’ve been apparent through her dress. “Are we having lolyich for dinner?”

“We are now.” His lecherous grin made her laugh. They each took one of her hands and continued through the market and out the other side. There was a path they followed through a wooded area. The riot of colors that surrounded them enthralled Destiny. Some she didn’t have a name for, as she’d never seen them before, but they were beautiful. She recognized many trees amongst the unique indigenous ones.

“We brought some of your plant life back with us. There are fruits on Earth that we really enjoyed but didn’t have anything similar here,” Rock commented and pointed out a large banana tree. Heavy bunches hung above their heads. Some of the fruit was as thick as her forearm.

“Everything grows bigger than I’m used to here,” she muttered to herself, making Jag laugh.

“It took a long time for your plants to acclimatize to our world,” Rock explained. “We had to be certain they wouldn’t disrupt our ecological system when we introduced them. Bananas were my favorite when I was a child.”

Destiny smiled as she tried to imagine Rock as a little boy running around in bare feet and shorts. “You haven’t lived until you’ve had a big slice of banana cream pie.”

“If you make one I’d love to try it.” Rock always looked so serious, but when he smiled she could see the little boy in his features.

“I’m not that good of a baker,” she tried to explain. “I’d hate to ruin something as important as your first pie.”

“You make it. I’ll eat it,” Rock promised.

A warm feeling floated around her chest. She was willing to bet that she could make the most atrocious mistake in a pie and Rock would eat every bite with a smile. Jag would wink at her while he did, too. “I’ll see what I can do for you, but I can’t promise it’ll be edible.”

Rock placed his hand at the small of her back as they turned down another path, away from the crowds. It wasn’t all that quiet. She could hear animals scurrying about in the bushes and creatures flying overhead, but she trusted that there wasn’t anything to worry about. They would never have brought her here otherwise. A soft breeze set the leaves shimmering around them and smelled like a tropical island. This really was a paradise she had awoken in.

  “It’s so beautiful here.”

Jag let go of her hand and pulled back a curtain of vines for her to pass through. With his hand at the small of her back, Rock led her under the curtain into a small open area. The ground beneath them felt like a cloud of moss as they walked. There were large fragrant flowers in the walls of vines surrounding them.

Rock pulled her into his arms. The boyish look was gone and his vibrant blue eyes were hungry as he looked down at her. “All of this pales to what we see when we look at you, Atan.” Her pussy warmed under his intense look and she curled her fingers in the fabric of his vest.

Jag must’ve cut off another piece of fruit when she wasn’t looking because Rock had it in his hand. He traced her lips with the plush segment. She felt her pussy grow wetter as Rock rubbed the fruit against her lower lip. Destiny opened her mouth and slurped the piece into her mouth, sucking it in and out of her mouth slowly.

Rock’s kiss was as aggressive as Jag’s. He plundered her mouth as the exquisite taste of the fruit flavored their kiss. He drew her close and pressed his thigh between her legs. The intimate pressure against her clit was almost Destiny’s undoing. She was so turned on by their play threats all she could think about was feeling him drive his cock into her.

Jag wrapped his arms around her waist and she felt him pull at the front of her skirt. Rock dropped to his knees in front of her and she was startled by how exposed she felt. She looked around but could only see a thick canopy of leaves over their heads and the path looked to be completely empty ahead of them. They were farther into the forest than she’d thought. She couldn’t see if anyone was coming up behind them and that added an element of danger to what they were doing.

Rock’s hot breath on her pussy stole her thoughts. He lifted her leg to rest on his shoulder, exposing her further. “There is another advantage to lolyich.” His words were like a purr against the delicate wet skin between her legs.

She didn’t have a chance to ask what. Rock parted her pussy lips and licked her in one long, slow swipe. His tongue left behind a tingle that felt like menthol. The mint. She’d read about the effects of menthol on sensitive skin and felt her cream gathering at the entrance to her cunt. Rock leaned back and blew a
soft breath on her clit. The immediate effect stole her breath. It felt like he’d traced her clit with an ice cube and then poured hot water over it.

“Oh, god!” she cried out as she gripped a handful of his thick hair. She arched her hips and tugged, hoping he’d get the message. She rolled her hips as he licked her again and this time she felt a thick finger press up inside of her.

“Feels good, doesn’t it? Wait until I get my tongue on your ass.” Jag nipped at her earlobe as he whispered. He was like a quiet voice in the night creating a dark fantasy. Only, she was living it. “That tingle you’re feeling is as sensitive at both your entrances and we’re going to make you burn.”

Her legs started to shake and she leaned heavier on Rock as he increased the pace of both his tongue and fingers. A second and then third finger worked her pussy. She could feel her juices coating them and spilling down her leg. He pulled one finger out and slipped it between the cheeks of her ass, circling the tight rosebud. Rock sucked her clit into his mouth and then pressed on her back opening.

“Oh! I can’t…too much…” She stammered, trying to form a full sentence, but the ache that had started in her pussy spread out over her body. She felt Jag slide his hands into the sides of her top and cup her breasts, teasing her nipples with his fingers. He rolled them and pinched as Rock sucked and blew icy air against her clit, all while he continued to fuck his finger in and out of her ass.

She couldn’t define what sensations were driving her crazy the most, but she knew that the release that burned like an inferno inside of her wasn’t going to stay contained.

“You’re our Atan, Destiny.” Rock nuzzled his face against her lower belly.

“We’re never going to let you go.” Jag pressed a kiss to her sweaty temple.

Destiny knew they were saying this for her benefit. They’d only known each other for less than a day. Love at first sight wasn’t real. Men didn’t appear and save damsels in distress and live happily ever after. But, it is love at second sight. She pushed that silly thought down where it couldn’t torment her.

She was starting to feel like Alice and as if she was the one who’d fallen down the rabbit hole. She hoped there wasn’t a Red Queen, and eventually Destiny was going to have to go home.

  Chapter Seven

Jag loved watching Destiny coming apart in his arms. Her screams were as deafening as they’d been the night before. Listening to her pleasure was much preferable to the sound of terror in her voice. She felt so delicate in his arms and the level of trust she was giving them was staggering. He’d expected her to become very emotional about the idea that she wasn’t on Earth anymore, but so far she’d handled it with grace. It was going to take a while to tell her everything and she was wise enough to know to take it in small amounts. That’s why she had stopped them earlier. She was going to make a perfect counterpart to them when he and Rock decided to ascend to rule. He paused for a moment. Since when did I want to ascend? Before now, he and Rock hadn’t wanted to take on the responsibility they’d been born to. With Destiny between them, he felt as though he was finally ready.

Destiny seemed very practical and understanding. She would understand that it was in her best interests to stay here and safe until their return. He watched as Rock adjusted her skirt and lifted her up into his arms. This time she went without a peep of complaint. Her head rested against Rock’s shoulder. She reached out and wiggled her fingers at him. Jag took the hint and entwined his fingers with hers so she could hold his hand as Rock carried her. Perhaps we should have a Cha’an before we leave?

He wanted to push away that thought, but it circled around his mind as they walked. Publically claiming her would keep her safe, but the entire village had watched out for his sister and it didn’t save her. What would I do if she was taken? What if we couldn’t save her? Old panicked thoughts pressed against him, but he knew that Rock would fight as hard as he would to save her. As would the other warriors. He wasn’t alone any more, but he wasn’t going to let her take any chances either.

From now on she would have to stay with either him or Rock and when they left to patrol the outer areas, then one of the warriors would stay with her. They could restrict her explorations. Perhaps it would be best if she stayed inside the stone walls. They would only be gone a week or so. There was a lot for her to learn and keep busy with around their home. He’d every intention of indulging in her body as often as possible before they left.

He thought about going on patrol and returning to Destiny. His mental image of her was with a large, rounded tummy where their child safely grew. Deep in his chest he knew it was right. She would be the mother of their children, and she would fight to protect them as fiercely as she’d fought to protect herself. Could we have wished for a more perfect Atan?

Her fingers grew slack in his hand and he realized she must’ve fallen asleep. A quick glance at her face confirmed it. She looked so peaceful and Jag was thrilled that she’d grown to trust them enough to fall asleep in Rock’s arms as he carried her.

“Bed or bath?” Rock asked as he walked.

“Let’s take her to bed. She can rest until the evening meal.”

Jag glanced over at Destiny and felt his cock stir again. His cock voted for bath, but if she was this tired then they should hold off on that. Claiming women in front of other Midnighters was a tradition older than them. Sharing Raxka was a common occurrence, but an Atan was a sacred bond and warriors tended to be very possessive. The Midnighters loved their Atan and the Cha’an would help create a bond between her and the rest of the group. They would care for her as if she was family if anything happened to them.

The legends told of a sacred group of warriors who would be protectors when the portal opened. Rock was the oldest out of them all and when he was born with the sacred markings on his arms the people of Lu’um knew the time had arrived. Many didn’t believe in the legends until Rock’s birth. Only male children had been born with the arm markings. When they met their warrior brother and clasped arms, the markings lined up into a perfect design. Being brothers allowed them to heal each other if they couldn’t heal themselves by clasping each other above the elbow and lining up the marks on their arms. The legends also wrote that they would be able to heal their Atan or draw her into a sleep state if needed but they didn’t know if that was true or not. His and Rock’s arm markings had started to glow with iridescence ever since they felt Destiny’s presence approaching.

He wondered again if they should delay the patrol a few days and claim her now. He knew that Rock wasn’t ready, nor did he want to push his friend into becoming a ruler before he was ready. But he couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that something was about to go very wrong.

  * * * *

Five days later, Jag waited at the entrance of the portal for Blade and Thunder to return and give an update on the situation. He and Rock had decided to put warriors on rotation guarding the entrance to their world. When they’d first crossed to the other side they’d learned that the imbalance of Earth’s energies was draining on the warriors.

“Inlaketch,” he greeted both of them when they arrived. They clasped arms and then sat down on one of the many rock benches that lined the area around the portal.

“The humans were still looking for Destiny or her remains.” Blade spoke first. “I’m impressed they’d continue to search for her for over a week.”

So far, Destiny hadn’t noticed the time difference, but in Lu’um the days were longer than on Earth. They’d been very careful with her over the last couple days, ensuring she lay down with one of them to rest on a regular basis. He and Rock both enjoyed the interludes where they had some private time with her and so far she’d been very responsive. Her internal clock would eventually adjust to their schedule without any permanent complications.

“Have you found anything that would prove the existence of another portal?”

Blade shook his head. “Not yet. We’ve been patrolling at night but haven’t found a singl
e shred of evidence to prove that possibility. Falcon and Wolfe believe that if there are Kimil, they are descendants of some who were trapped on Earth when the portal was closed. There are legends of evil that kill both humans and animals. They call the creatures Chupacabra, but the remains sound suspiciously like a Kimil attack.”

“The police search did turn up some interesting information about where you found her.” Thunder pulled off his heavy black leather vest and laid it on the bench next to him as he spoke. “They found the decomposed remains of a large animal in the rocks.”

“I don’t understand the significance.” Jag wasn’t certain where they were going with this, but he and Rock both felt they’d missed a vital piece of information about that night.

Blade sat down on a chair and braced his elbows on his jean-covered knees. When they first crossed over into Earth, they’d scrambled to blend in with the locals. That meant wearing indigenous clothes. Blade and Thunder had taken an immediate liking to the black leather, large motorcycles, and rough look of the local bikers.

“I didn’t think anything of it at first, too.” Blade took off his black leather jacket and laid it over his leg. “There are animals all over the place and they die for a variety of reasons. But you said Destiny saw a black catlike animal with yellow eyes that night and we all agree on the possibility of it being a Kimil.”

“But we can’t figure out why it would leave her alive. It had to sense who she was, and inhaling her would have given the evil et’el immense power. Why would it retreat?” Jag felt sick knowing how close they came to losing their Destiny that night. He got to his feet and paced across the front of the portal and back as Blade spoke.

“That’s what I’m saying. I don’t think it did,” Blade explained, “we went back to those rocks and found the animal-shaped pile. It looked as though it had been poisoned and left out in the sun to rot. After you all described what happened, I found where she’d been hiding and the rock she hit her head on. What did she do to it?”
