  Like now.

  That grin.

  Those deep, dark eyes.

  They’re all for me.

I bring up my phone and type quickly, even though he is still typing.

  Me: I’m staring at you.

His grin grows, and then his eyes meet mine. Heat rushes through me, and it takes my breath away. I curve my lips as I lean my head into the chair as if I’m trying to get comfortable and not staring at our winger. When my phone sounds, I look at it to see his message.

Boon: Jesus, Posey, you take my breath away.

My face breaks into a grin, and I sigh softly.

Me: I thought you’d say more, for as long as you were typing.

Boon: I was, but then I thought it would be highly inappropriate for me to talk dirty to you when you’re sitting behind your mom and sister.

  Me: Highly inappropriate, huh?

Boon: Oh, lovely, they’re so inappropriate, the thoughts in my mind. I have to keep them contained.

I lick my lips and then bite my bottom one. He drives me wild. I’d always wanted to have sex, and I know I could have gone out and gotten it, but I’m glad I waited. I know I never saw Boon coming and didn’t plan to lose it to him, but it’s becoming an addiction.

I love how he makes love to me. I crave it. I want it. He leaves me trembling from just a kiss, and I know I sound like a love-sick child, but I like how he makes me feel. Special, important, and like I’m the only one he sees. It’s silly, but is it, really? Is it silly to crave a man’s touch when it makes you feel so good? Isn’t life about being happy? I give just as much as he does, so I shouldn’t feel silly for wanting him.

  I should embrace it.

  “Posey, which one?”

But apparently I can’t embrace it when my sister and mom are sitting in front of me. I look up just as my mom kneels on the seat, leaning over the back to look down at me. Shelli has the Wedding Book from Hell propped up on the back of the seat and open to the section that’s labeled: Maid of Honor. It’s my page. Yay. There are cutouts of models for hair, jewelry, and three dresses, but instead of the model’s faces, a picture of my face has replaced them.

It’s terrifying how obsessed my sister is with this book. I could never be like this. Give me a courthouse or an empty field with maybe ten people. That’s probably why my mom is so obsessed with Shelli’s wedding. She knows for a fact that I will not be this extreme.

I make a face. “Did you have to put my face on the models? My ass doesn’t look like that.”

  “Focus, Posey. Which one?”

“Why are the colors pink and gray? Don’t you want something else? Go back to the teal and black.”

She glares as she chews glue from her fingers. “Pick a dress.”

“You know you can do that whole book on a tablet, right. Like, you wouldn’t need glue—”

  “Posey, which dress!”

I groan, wanting to die. I look closer as my mom points to the last one. “I think you’d look incredible in this one. It’ll hug all those curves of yours, and look how it’ll show off your breasts.”

“That dress cannot contain these things,” I say, holding one boob in my hand, but I snap a picture anyway. “Let me get back to you. I’m gonna ask Ally.”

Shelli frowns. “Do you like them, though? ’Cause if not, I’m going to give Amelia a chance to pick.”

“I don’t know. The last one is nice, but the other two are too poofy. I’m not a poofy type of girl.”

Shelli pauses, tapping her finger to her lips. “You aren’t. Your curves are too good to hide. We’ll find something formfitting.”

“Yay,” I say dryly, and I don’t miss the look of pure agony from my mother. Nothing to be done about my sister and the Wedding Book from Hell.

I roll my eyes as I lean back, lifting my phone to see Boon has texted again.

Boon: What in the hell is that god-awful sparkly thing?

  I laugh softly.

Me: Well, Boon, it’s the Wedding Book from Pure Hell. Shelli has been planning her wedding in the book since she was a child.

Boon: Oh. The amount of glitter is disturbing.

Me: This is true, but at least you don’t have a page dedicated to you in it.

  Boon: You have a page?

  Me: I do.

Boon: Are you in the wedding?

Me: I am. Hello, I’m the maid of honor.

Boon: Hm, I’m a groomsman. Maybe I can feel you up after the toasts?

  Me: That could happen.

Boon: But first, I need to see this page.

I send him the photo I took, and when I hear him laugh, I roll my eyes. Jerk.

Boon: Wow. Is there one for me?

Me: I don’t know. I can’t really ask without seeming eager.

Boon: You eager for me, Posey?

Man, he makes me weak in the knees.

  Me: Maybe.

  Boon: Maybe?

  Me: Okay, sure.

  Boon: Sure?

  Me: Fine, yes.

Boon: That’s right, gorgeous. Don’t worry. I’m real eager for you too.

I can’t hold back my giddiness. I cover my mouth as I look down at my phone.

Me: Tell me, do you like any of these dresses?

Boon: Nope. Going for option four.

  I scrunch up my brows.

  Me: What’s that?

Boon: Naked. Totally and completely naked.

  I sputter with laughter.

Me: Yes, my dad would so approve.

Boon: That could pose a problem. So you’ll be naked, in my arms, and I’ll wrap my coat around you.

Me: No, you wouldn’t. You’d bend me over the nearest surface if I were naked.

Boon: You know me so well, Posey Adler.

Chills run up my spine. I really like this guy.

  Me: Are you hard?

Boon: I am. I always am when I want your naked body on mine. Which is all the time. And let me tell you, it’s hard to skate with a hard-on in a cup.

I lick my lips. I don’t know how he is able to keep it in a cup. I feel a tingling sensation all over my body as I type back quickly.

  Me: Well, I’m wet.

When I hear choking, I look back to see him bent over. Is he okay?

Boon: Damn, girl. Out of nowhere with that one. You made slushy come out my nose.

Wait! What? My jaw drops. “Mom! We have slushies?”

I hear Boon laughing as my mom turns to look at me. “Yes, honey. You asked me to get a machine. I told you I did.”

Shelli shakes her head. “No, Mom. You told me you got it for her as a gift for the plane, but then I distracted you with wedding plans before you could tell her.”

Mom glances over at me, guilt-ridden. “I’m sorry, baby. But yes, I got the machine for you.”

I don’t even care that she got distracted or that I was telling Boon I was wet two seconds ago. I love slushies! “So cool! Thanks, Mom.”

“Just ask Luna to get you one,” she says, speaking of our flight attendant. I turn in my seat, but I can tell she’s busy with her cart. I can get my own slushy. Plus, I can tease Boon a little bit. I get up and head down the aisle, my eyes on him. He has this sneaky little grin on his face as his eyes stay locked with mine. I may have a bit more sway in my hips than needed, but I like the way he is looking at me.

As I walk past him, I accidentally hit him with my ass. “Oh, my bad.”

He chuckles as he says, “You’re fine, Coach.”

I’m pretty sure there is a double meaning to that statement, and it thrills me. I notice Wes is shaking his head, laughing, and I forgot he knows we’re together. Boon promises me he won’t say a word, so I guess I’ll have to trust in that. Wes’s laughter is contagious, though, and I have to hold mine back as I head to the slushy machine. I expect Boon to follow, but when he doesn’t, I find myself disappointed.

I could have fondled him for a second.

  Darn.

But when the sweet, sugary goodness pours o
ut into my cup, I’m satisfied. It might be a bit sad that I’m choosing a slushy over fondling my boyfriend.

Eek. Boyfriend. I forgot that’s what he is now. It makes me giggle.

“Posey, you’re a little too excited to get a slushy,” Aiden teases, and I set him with a look.

“You don’t live in a house without sugar, remember?”

He scoffs. “You know you can move out, right?”

That gets my mom’s attention. “Aiden Brooks, if you want me to keep on liking you, you better stop talking my daughters into moving out of my house.”

The whole plane starts to razz him, and I laugh as I head up the aisle. When I come beside Boon, I “accidentally” drop my phone in his lap. “Oh no,” I feign, and his eyes are on fire as he meets my gaze. “I’m so sorry. It slipped.”

He brings up my phone, his hand brushing my sex, sending me rocketing to the moon. “You’re fine, Coach.”

I’m pretty sure he can bring me to climax with that statement.

I take my phone as Wes snorts beside him. “You two are playing with fire,” he mutters.

Wes is damn right we are.

  And I love it.

I head back to my seat with my cup of sugary happiness and cuddle up with my phone and blanket. I have some work I can do, but I’m too wound up to do it. I want to play with Boon some more. I open my messages to find one from him.

  Boon: You’re evil.

  I smile.

Me: Well, I’m upset with you.

  Boon: Me?

Me: Yes. You couldn’t have met me at the slushy machine?

Boon: Um, and come between you and your slushy? I know better.

Me: Still, I wanted to fondle you.

Boon: Ha! Fondle? I would have broken that damn machine with how hard I would have done you against it.

Me: What did the slushy machine do to you?

Boon: Not a damn thing. But you, you drive me insane. For real, though, that ass of yours is lethal.

  Me: Do you want it?

Boon: Your ass? Lovely, I want that more than I want anything at the moment.

  Me: Come get it.

  Boon: Don’t tempt me.

I fight back my laughter as his next message comes through.

  Boon: You’re wild today.

Me: I am feeling kinda frisky.

  Boon: How frisky?

Me: So frisky, I’m unsure how I can go twelve days without being with you. I want so badly to kiss you, and I’m annoyed that I didn’t think of this before we got on the plane.

Boon: I don’t think I can express how much I agree with that statement… Think we can meet in the bathroom?

Me: If we’re just gonna kiss real fast, maybe. But more? I don’t think so.

Boon: Yeah, I’m wanting more, and with how you’re teasing me, I don’t know if I can stop. Which brings me to my next question, how are we going to do this?

Me: I have no clue. We might have to wait until we get back. With all the meetings, practices, and stuff, it’s hard. It’s not like we’ll see each other during the downtime since coaches and players don’t hang.

Boon: True, but I’ll see you at dinners. Maybe we can sneak off then? As long as I get to taste that sweet mouth of yours, I can hold out.

  Me: Can you?

Boon: No. I’m an awful liar. I want you now.

  I beam. He tickles me.

Boon: I told my mom about you.

  Me: You did?

Boon: Yeah, I told her how hot and amazing you are. She’s excited to meet you.

Me: Aw, I’ve never met my boyfriend’s mom.

Boon: Well, you will now, and I don’t like the word boyfriend.

  Me: No?

Boon: No, I think super-hot man lover is better.

  Now I’m choking on slushy.

  Me: You’re insane.

Boon: For real, it’s like, “Mom, this is Boon, my super-hot, super-talented, amazing-in-bed, man lover.”

Me: Yes, my mom will be thrilled to know her winger is banging her daughter.

Boon: Ha. Didn’t think of it that way. You’re right. We’ll add winger in there.

  I snort.

Me: You’re silly. But if you’re all that to me, what am I to you?

  Boon: Everything.

Everything. The word kinda scares me.

When my phone vibrates with another text, I read his next message.

Boon: I realize that was a little too much. So how about super-gorgeous, amazingly smart and strong and funny and perfect, woman lover lady, with one hell of an ass.

  I grin.

Me: Can’t forget the great ass.

  Boon: Sure can’t.

  I swallow hard.

Me: It wasn’t too much. It’s nice.

Boon: I sound ridiculous. I think I’m so worried that I don’t show you or tell you how I feel that I’m now word-vomiting on you.

Me: Maybe, but the upside is, it only makes me want you more.

Boon: Well, that’s good to know, but this is new for me. Trying to be more vocal.

Me: It’s new for me too, Boon. This real relationship thing with my super-hot, super-talented, amazing-in-bed, man lover guy.

  Boon: LOL. You kill me.

I don’t need him to type that for me to know he’s laughing. I can hear the low timbre of his laugh, and it has my sex clenching in need.

Me: I love how you laugh. It makes me squirm.

Boon: I wish you were sitting on my face as you squirm.

Me: Oh my, but your newly fresh beard.

Boon: Hey, what’s the point of being newly fresh if I can’t get it all dirty again?

  Jesus, he makes me hot.

When my mom stands, I widen my eyes. Does she know?

“All right, we’re turning out the lights. Let’s rest for a bit, boys,” she calls. There is some groaning, but everyone pretty much settles in. The card tables fold up, and the guys turn their seats so they can watch their iPads or sleep. When the plane gets quiet and the lights are off, I look through the cracks in the seats to see what Boon is doing.

  He’s watching me.

I can tell from the light of his phone. His lips curve, and then he gets up, heading toward the back of the plane. I furrow my brow as I watch him say something to Luna. She nods and then takes something from him. Was that cash? He sits in the seat beside the bathroom and then looks down at his phone.

Boon: Go to the bathroom. Now.

Me: Don’t tell me what to do.

  Boon: Do it.

  Me: Make me.

  Boon: For real?

  Me: No. I’m coming.

I get up and walk to the back toward the bathroom. His eyes never leave mine, and I’m excited for what is about to happen. Is he gonna trap me in the bathroom? Before I can reach it, he says, “Hey, Coach. Can we discuss the eight formation?”

Wait. What? His eyes are playful, and soon I realize they are promising way more than a discussion of an eight formation. “Yes. Let me get my tablet.”

  “Great.”

I turn just as my mom stands up. “What are you doing?”

“Hey, hand me my tablet,” I say, and she grabs it before coming down the aisle.

  “What’s going on?”

“Hoenes wants to discuss a few plays,” I say, and she walks behind me down the aisle. I’m vibrating with nerves. I don’t want her to know, but she doesn’t seem to suspect anything. Boon gets up and lets me in. “I always sit on the outside.”

“Oh, okay,” I say just as my mom taps his chest.

  “You don’t want to rest?”

“No, ma’am. I’m going over and over in my head about this play. I don’t want to let you down.”

She grins. “You won’t, honey. I’m sure our Posey will take care of you.”

Oh, the way he looks down at me tells me that’s exactly what he wants. He licks his lips as he sits down, and when our knees touch, our eyes meet. I’m breathing hard, my heart is out of control, and I want to attack him. I w
ant to feel him. I want to kiss him. I just want him. All of him. He leans on the armrest, his eyes burning into mine. “Pull up the plays.”

“You’re being very bossy,” I mutter as I do as he says. “I don’t like it.”

“Oh, but you will in a few.” When the door to the bathroom opens and Mom steps out, he points to the screen. “You want me back here, right?”

  “Exactly.”

“Keep it down, okay?” Mom advises as she walks by us.

  “Sure thing, Mrs. Adler.”

  “Of course, Mom.”

When she heads up the aisle, he brings his body in closer, his knees pushing into mine while his back blocks any view of us. His eyes meet mine, dark and wild as he slides his hand up my leg and pushes my knees open. “Here is the deal, lovely. I want to feel that wet cunt of yours,” he says, very low and very dangerously. “I’m going to move my fingers into you, but you can’t make a sound.”

  Oh. My.

I swallow hard, my body trembling as he inches his hand closer and closer to my throbbing sex. He hooks his finger into my panties, pushing them to the side, and I press my lips together to keep from moaning loudly.

  “Do you want it?”

“You don’t need to ask. Find out for yourself.”

His eyes drift shut for just a second as he bites his lip. Then, slowly, he moves his fingers along my lips. I let my head fall forward so no one can see the pure ecstasy on my face. “Oh, lovely, you’re so wet.”

I can’t answer, not once he slides his two fingers along my clit, flicking ever so intently. I squeeze my eyes shut tightly as he continues his torture. But it’s not just his fingers that have me on edge; it’s his words. “Do you know how bad I want you? How I want to bury myself into you, get lost in you? You’re so fucking incredible, Posey. So beautiful.”

I almost can’t hear him, he’s whispering so low. So I’m not the least bit worried anyone else can hear him. What I am worried about is screaming his name. He moves his fingers down, into my entrance, and starts to thoroughly fuck me with his fingers. His arm is jerking so hard into me, I’m almost coming off the damn seat. I open my eyes wide, making sure there isn’t anyone watching, but no one is paying us a lick of attention. They’re all on their tablets, with headphones on. My vision is blurring from how hard he is working his fingers into me, but I can see my mom is talking to Luna, and even she’s not paying attention.
