  [26] To Laadan his son was born his son Amiud, his son Helisamai, his son

  [27] Νουμ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ιησουε υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.

  [27] Nun, his son Jesue, these were his sons.

  [28] καὶ κατάσχεσις αὐτῶν καὶ κατοικία αὐτῶν· Βαιθηλ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, κατ’ ἀνατολὰς Νααραν, πρὸς δυσμαῖς Γαζερ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς· καὶ Συχεμ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς ἕως Γαιαν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς.

  [28] And their possession and their dwelling were Baethel and her towns, to the east Noaran, westward Gazer and her towns, and Sychem and her towns, as far as Gaza and her towns.

  [29] καὶ ἕως ὁρίων υἱῶν Μανασση· Βαιθσααν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, Θααναχ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ Βαλαδ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, Μαγεδδω καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, Δωρ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς. ἐν ταύταις κατῴκησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ιωσηφ υἱοῦ Ισραηλ.

  [29] And as far as the borders of the sons of Manasse, Baethsaan and her towns, Thanach and her towns, Mageddo and her towns, Dor and her towns. In this the children of Joseph the son of Israel dwelt.

  [30] Υἱοὶ Ασηρ· Ιεμνα καὶ Ισουα καὶ Ισουι καὶ Βεριγα, καὶ Σορε ἀδελφὴ αὐτῶν.

  [30] The sons of Aser; Jemna, and Suia, and Isui, and Beria, and Sore their sister.

  [31] καὶ υἱοὶ Βεριγα· Χαβερ καὶ Μελχιηλ, οὗτος πατὴρ Βερζαιθ.

  [31] And the sons of Beria; Chaber, and Melchiel; he was the father of Berthaith.

  [32] καὶ Χαβερ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαφαλητ καὶ τὸν Σαμηρ καὶ τὸν Χωθαμ καὶ τὴν Σωλα ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν.

  [32] And Chaber begot Japhlet, and Samer, and Chothan, and Sola their sister.

  [33] καὶ υἱοὶ Ιαφαλητ· Φεσηχι, Βαμαηλ καὶ Ασιθ· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ιαφαλητ.

  [33] And the sons of Japhlet; Phasec, and Bamael, and Asith: these are the sons of Japhlet.

  [34] καὶ υἱοὶ Σεμμηρ· Αχιουραογα καὶ Οβα καὶ Αραμ

  [34] And the sons of Semmer; Achir, and Rooga, and Jaba, and Aram.

  [35] καὶ Βανηελαμ· ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ Σωφα καὶ Ιμανα καὶ Σελλης καὶ Αμαλ.

  [35] And the sons of Elam his brother; Sopha, and Imana, and Selles, and Amal.

  [36] υἱοὶ Σωφα· Χουχι, Αρναφαρ καὶ Σουαλ καὶ Βαρι καὶ Ιμαρη,

  [36] The sons of Sopha; Sue, and Arnaphar, and Suda, and Barin, and Imran,

  [37] Σοβαλ καὶ Ωδ καὶ Σεμμα καὶ Σαλισα καὶ Ιεθραν καὶ Βεηρα.

  [37] and Basan, and Oa, and Sama, and Salisa, and Jethra, and Beera.

  [38] καὶ υἱοὶ Ιεθερ· Ιφινα καὶ Φασφα καὶ Αρα.

  [38] And the sons of Jether, Jephina, and Phaspha, and Ara.

  [39] καὶ υἱοὶ Ωλα· Ορεχ, Ανιηλ καὶ Ρασια.

  [39] And the sons of Ola; Orech, Aniel, and Rasia.

  [40] πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ασηρ, πάντες ἄρχοντες πατριῶν ἐκλεκτοὶ ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει, ἄρχοντες ἡγούμενοι· ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν εἰς παράταξιν τοῦ πολεμεῖν, ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν ἄνδρες εἴκοσι ἓξ χιλιάδες.

  [40] All these were the sons of Aser, all heads of families, choice, mighty men, chief leaders: their number for battle array — their number was twenty-six thousand men.

  CHAPTER 8

  [1] Καὶ Βενιαμιν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βαλε πρωτότοκον αὐτοῦ καὶ Ασβηλ τὸν δεύτερον, Ααρα τὸν τρίτον,

  [1] Now Benjamin begot Bale his first-born, and Asbel his second son, Aara the third, Noa the fourth,

  [2] Νωα τὸν τέταρτον καὶ Ραφη τὸν πέμπτον.

  [2] and Rapha the fifth.

  [3] καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ τῷ Βαλε· Αδερ καὶ Γηρα καὶ Αβιουδ

  [3] And the sons of Bale were, Adir, and Gera, and Abiud,

  [4] καὶ Αβισουε καὶ Νοομα καὶ Αχια

  [4] and Abessue, and Noama, and Achia,

  [5] καὶ Γηρα καὶ Σωφαρφακ καὶ Ωιμ. –

  [5] and Gera, and Sephupham, and Uram.

  [6] οὗτοι υἱοὶ Αωδ· οὗτοί εἰσιν ἄρχοντες πατριῶν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Γαβεε, καὶ μετῴκισαν αὐτοὺς εἰς Μαναχαθι·

  [7] καὶ Νοομα καὶ Αχια καὶ Γηρα· οὗτος ιγλααμ καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ναανα καὶ τὸν Αχιχωδ.

  [7] and Nooma, and Achia and Gera, he removed them, and he begot Aza, and Jachicho.

  [8] καὶ Σααρημ ἐγέννησεν ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ Μωαβ μετὰ τὸ ἀποστεῖλαι αὐτὸν Ωσιμ καὶ τὴν Βααδα γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ.

  [8] And Saarin begot children in the plain of Moab, after that he had sent away Osin and Baada his wives.

  [9] καὶ ἐγέννησεν ἐκ τῆς Αδα γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ τὸν Ιωβαβ καὶ τὸν Σεβια καὶ τὸν Μισα καὶ τὸν Μελχαμ

  [9] And he begot of his wife Ada, Jolab, and Sebia, and Misa, and Melchas,

  [10] καὶ τὸν Ιαως καὶ τὸν Σαβια καὶ τὸν Μαρμα· οὗτοι ἄρχοντες πατριῶν.

  [10] and Jebus, and Zabia, and Marma: these were heads of families.

  [11] καὶ ἐκ τῆς Ωσιμ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αβιτωβ καὶ τὸν Αλφααλ.

  [11] And of Osin he begot Abitol, and Alphaal.

  [12] καὶ υἱοὶ Αλφααλ· Ωβηδ, Μεσσααμ, Σεμμηρ· οὗτος ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Ωνω καὶ τὴν Λοδ καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς. –

  [12] And the sons of Alphaal; Obed, Misaal, Semmer: he built Ona, and Lod, and its towns:

  [13] καὶ Βεριγα καὶ Σαμα· οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Αιλαμ, καὶ οὗτοι ἐξεδίωξαν τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Γεθ.

  [13] and Beria, and Sama; these were heads of families among the dwellers in Elam, and they drove out the inhabitants of Geth.

  [14] καὶ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ Σωσηκ καὶ Ιαριμωθ

  [14] And his brethren were Sosec, and Arimoth,

  [15] καὶ Ζαβαδια καὶ Ωρηρ καὶ Ωδηδ

  [15] and Zabadia, and Ored, and Eder,

  [16] καὶ Μιχαηλ καὶ Ιεσφα καὶ Ιωχα υἱοὶ Βαριγα.

  [16] and Michael, and Jespha, and Joda, the sons of Beria:

  [17] καὶ Ζαβαδια καὶ Μοσολλαμ καὶ Αζακι καὶ Αβαρ

  [17] and Zabadia, and Mosollam, and Azaki, and Abar,

  [18] καὶ Ισαμαρι καὶ Ιεζλια καὶ Ιωβαβ υἱοὶ Ελφααλ.

  [18] and Isamari, and Jexlias, and Jobab, the sons of Elphaal:

  [19] καὶ Ιακιμ καὶ Ζεχρι καὶ Ζαβδι

  [19] and Jakim, and Zachri, and Zabdi,

  [20] καὶ Ελιωηναι καὶ Σαλθι καὶ Ελιηλι

  [20] and Elionai, and Salathi,

  [21] καὶ Αδαια καὶ Βαραια καὶ Σαμαραθ υἱοὶ �
�αμαι.

  [21] and Elieli, and Adaia, and Baraia, and Samarath, sons of Samaith:

  [22] καὶ Ισφαν καὶ Ωβηδ καὶ Ελεηλ

  [22] and Jesphan, and Obed, and Eliel,

  [23] καὶ Αβαδων καὶ Ζεχρι καὶ Αναν

  [23] and Abdon, and Zechri, and Anan,

  [24] καὶ Ανανια καὶ Αμβρι καὶ Αιλαμ καὶ Αναθωθια

  [24] and Anania, and Ambri, and Ælam, and Anathoth,

  [25] καὶ Αθιν καὶ Ιεφερια καὶ Φελιηλ υἱοὶ Σωσηκ.

  [25] and Jathin, and Jephadias, and Phanuel, the sons of Sosec:

  [26] καὶ Σαμσαρια καὶ Σααρια καὶ Ογοθολια

  [26] and Samsari, and Saarias, and Gotholia,

  [27] καὶ Ιαρασια καὶ Ηλια καὶ Ζεχρι υἱοὶ Ιρααμ.

  [27] and Jarasia, and Eria, and Zechri, son of Iroam.

  [28] οὗτοι ἄρχοντες πατριῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες· οὗτοι κατῴκησαν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ. –

  [28] These were heads of families, chiefs according to their generations: these dwelt in Jerusalem.

  [29] καὶ ἐν Γαβαων κατῴκησεν πατὴρ Γαβαων, καὶ ὄνομα γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ Μααχα.

  [29] And the father of Gabaon dwelt in Gabaon; and his wife’s name was Moacha.

  [30] καὶ υἱὸς αὐτῆς ὁ πρωτότοκος Αβαδων, καὶ Σουρ καὶ Κις καὶ Βααλ καὶ Νηρ καὶ Ναδαβ

  [30] And her first-born son was Abdon, and Sur, and Kis, and Baal, and Nadab, and Ner,

  [31] καὶ Γεδουρ καὶ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ Ζαχουρ καὶ Μακαλωθ·

  [31] and Gedur and his brother, and Zacchur, and Makeloth.

  [32] καὶ Μακαλωθ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σεμαα. καὶ γὰρ οὗτοι κατέναντι τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν κατῴκησαν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν.

  [32] And Makeloth begot Samaa: for these dwelt in Jerusalem in the presence of their brethren with their brethren.

  [33] καὶ Νηρ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Κις, καὶ Κις ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαουλ, καὶ Σαουλ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιωναθαν καὶ τὸν Μελχισουε καὶ τὸν Αμιναδαβ καὶ τὸν Ασαβαλ.

  [33] And Ner begot Kis, and Kis begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Aminadab, and Asabal.

  [34] καὶ υἱοὶ Ιωναθαν· Μεριβααλ. καὶ Μεριβααλ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μιχια.

  [34] And the son of Jonathan was Meribaal; and Meribaal begot Micha.

  [35] καὶ υἱοὶ Μιχια· Φιθων καὶ Μελχηλ καὶ Θερεε καὶ Αχαζ.

  [35] And the sons of Micha; Phithon, and Melach, and Tharach, and Achaz.

  [36] καὶ Αχαζ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιωιαδα, καὶ Ιωιαδα ἐγέννησεν τὸν Γαλεμαθ καὶ τὸν Ασμωθ καὶ τὸν Ζαμβρι, καὶ Ζαμβρι ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαισα·

  [36] And Achaz begot Jada, and Jada begot Salaemath, and Asmoth, and Zambri; and Zambri begot Maesa;

  [37] καὶ Μαισα ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βαανα· Ραφαια υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ελασα υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Εσηλ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.

  [37] and Maesa begot Baana: Rhaphaea was his son, Elasa his son, Esel his son.

  [38] καὶ τῷ Εσηλ ἓξ υἱοί, καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν· Εζρικαμ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ισμαηλ καὶ Σαραια καὶ Αβδια καὶ Αναν· πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Εσηλ.

  [38] And Esel had six sons, and these were their name; Ezricam his first-born, and Ismael, and Saraia, and Abdia, and Anan, and Asa: all these were the sons of Esel.

  [39] καὶ υἱοὶ Ασηλ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ· Αιλαμ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ιαις ὁ δεύτερος, Ελιφαλετ ὁ τρίτος.

  [39] And the sons of Asel his brother; Ælam his first-born, and Jas the second, and Eliphalet the third.

  [40] καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Αιλαμ ἰσχυροὶ ἄνδρες δυνάμει τείνοντες τόξον καὶ πληθύνοντες υἱοὺς καὶ υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν, ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα. πάντες οὗτοι ἐξ υἱῶν Βενιαμιν.

  [40] And the sons of Ælam were mighty men, bending the bow, and multiplying sons and grandsons, a hundred and fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.

  CHAPTER 9

  [1] Καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ, ὁ συλλοχισμὸς αὐτῶν, καὶ οὗτοι καταγεγραμμένοι ἐν βιβλίῳ τῶν βασιλέων Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα μετὰ τῶν ἀποικισθέντων εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ἐν ταῖς ἀνομίαις αὐτῶν.

  [1] And this is all Israel, even their enrolment: and these are written down in the book of the kings of Israel and Juda, with the names of them that were carried away to Babylon for their transgressions.

  [2] καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες πρότερον ἐν ταῖς κατασχέσεσιν αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν· Ισραηλ, οἱ ἱερεῖς, οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ δεδομένοι.

  [2] And they that dwelt before in their possessions in the cities of Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the appointed ones.

  [3] Καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ κατῴκησαν ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ιουδα καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμιν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Εφραιμ καὶ Μανασση·

  [3] And there dwelt in Jerusalem some of the children of Juda, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasse.

  [4] Γωθι υἱὸς Αμμιουδ υἱοῦ Αμρι υἱοῦ υἱῶν Φαρες υἱοῦ Ιουδα.

  [4] And Gnothi, and the son of Samiud, the son of Amri, the son of Ambraim, the son of Buni, son of the sons of Phares, the son of Juda.

  [5] καὶ ἐκ τῶν Σηλωνι· Ασαια πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ καὶ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ.

  [5] And of the Selonites; Asaia his first-born, and his sons.

  [6] ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ζαρα· Ιιηλ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν, ἑξακόσιοι καὶ ἐνενήκοντα.

  [6] Of the sons of Zara; Jeel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

  [7] καὶ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμιν· Σαλω υἱὸς Μοσολλαμ υἱοῦ Ωδουια υἱοῦ Σαναα

  [7] And of the sons of Benjamin; Salom, son of Mosollam, son of Odouia, son of Asinu.

  [8] καὶ Ιβαναα υἱὸς Ιρααμ, καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Οζι υἱοῦ Μαχιρ· καὶ Μασσαλημ υἱὸς Σαφατια υἱοῦ Ραγουηλ υἱοῦ Βαναια

  [8] And Jemnaa son of Jeroboam, and Elo: these are the sons of Ozi the son of Machir: and Mosollam, son of Saphatia, son of Raguel, son of Jemnai;

  [9] καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν, ἐννακόσιοι πεντήκοντα ἕξ, πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες ἄρχοντες πατριῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.

  [9] and their brethren according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six, all the men were heads of families according to the houses of their fathers.

  [10] Καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἱερέων· Ιωδαε καὶ Ιωαριμ καὶ Ιαχιν

  [10] And of the priests; Jodae, and Joarim, and Jachin,

  [11] καὶ Αζαρια υἱὸς Χελκια υἱοῦ Μοσολλαμ υἱοῦ Σαδωκ υἱοῦ
Μαραιωθ υἱοῦ Αχιτωβ ἡγούμενος οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ

  [11] and Azaria the son of Chelcias, the son of Mosollam, the son of Sadoc, the son of Maraioth, the son of Achitob, the ruler of the house of God;

  [12] καὶ Αδαια υἱὸς Ιρααμ υἱοῦ Πασχωρ υἱοῦ Μαλχια καὶ Μαασαια υἱὸς Αδιηλ υἱοῦ Ιεδιου υἱοῦ Μοσολλαμ υἱοῦ Μασελμωθ υἱοῦ Εμμηρ

  [12] and Adaia son of Iraam, son of Phascor, son of Melchia, and Maasaia son of Adiel, son of Ezira, son of Mosollam, son of Maselmoth, son of Emmer;

  [13] καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν χίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει εἰς ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ.

  [13] and their brethren, chiefs of their families, a thousand seven hundred and sixty, mighty men for the work of the ministration of the house of God.

  [14] Καὶ ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν· Σαμαια υἱὸς Ασωβ υἱοῦ Εσρικαμ υἱοῦ Ασαβια ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Μεραρι

  [14] And of the Levites; Samaia son of Asob, son of Ezricam, son of Asabia, of the sons of Merari.

  [15] καὶ Βακβακαρ καὶ Αρης καὶ Γαλαλ καὶ Μανθανιας υἱὸς Μιχα υἱοῦ Ζεχρι υἱοῦ Ασαφ

  [15] And Bacbacar, and Ares, and Galaal, and Matthanias son of Micha, son of Zechri, son of Asaph;

  [16] καὶ Αβδια υἱὸς Σαμια υἱοῦ Γαλαλ υἱοῦ Ιδιθων καὶ Βαραχια υἱὸς Οσσα υἱοῦ Ηλκανα ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν ταῖς κώμαις Νετωφατι. –

  [16] and Abdia, son of Samia, son of Galaal, son of Idithun, and Barachia son of Ossa, son of Helcana — who dwelt in the villages of the Notephatites.

  [17] οἱ πυλωροί· Σαλωμ καὶ Ακουβ καὶ Ταλμαν καὶ Αιμαν καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν, Σαλωμ ὁ ἄρχων·

  [17] The door-keepers; Salom, Acum, Telmon, and Diman, and their brethren; Salom was the chief;

  [18] καὶ ἕως ταύτης ἐν τῇ πύλῃ τοῦ βασιλέως κατ’ ἀνατολάς· αὗται αἱ πύλαι τῶν παρεμβολῶν υἱῶν Λευι.
