Laconic Lyrics

Down On Market Street:
Down on Market Street, a guy who'd been to Oz I did chance to meet. Into my life he came, offering me a lift in his car to shelter from the rain, and Ewan was his name. I instinctively knew that this was a stranger with no danger. A guy my age and taste the same. Talk we did about our journeys been, of all the worldly wonders that we'd seen. He had worked 40 hours in 3 days, and sure too those events had crossed my ways. A chance meeting this was not, for put in my place was a providential present to be got. The striking up of a new friendship, all from the friendly movement of a lip:
Would you like a lift there, because you can come with me, I am going in the same direction and happiness is only real when shared, jump in the car. That is the way that it should always be.
'What brings you to these parts?' Is how the conversation started. 'I have just moved to this area, and I am looking for a companion to get me started. Maybe you can be the first, being in a new place and lonely is the worst.'. 'Take my number and I'll take you out drinking one night.' Is how he responds. 'Or if you're more of a green man, then I could take you scenic and we can blaze by the ponds.' Whatever your interest, I'll be there for you, because caring is sharing when it comes to love, and that's something we've all got to do.'. We shook hands as the car rolled up to my door. 'It has been a pleasure to meet Ew-An I'm sure that I'll be seeing you some more.'.
Would you like a lift there, because you can come with me, I am going in the same direction and happiness is only real when shared, jump in the car. That is the way that it should always be.
The Book Store:
Paper on the shelves, wood on the wood. One a skill of the mind, one a skill of the hand. Congratulations to both on their creation, we need that balance in this society. One the intellect, the other the architect. This doesn't mean, though, that we need to chop down trees. No, simple science shows that we need them to breathe. Instead, we must turn to the repressed seed: Hemp; the angel wearing the halo to the devilised weed.
Brass In The Pits:
We'll all be brassed off until these shackles have been cast off. And then the trombone shall play a melodical note. Concrete keeps the bricks together as the windmill spins. Gravity keeps us grounded, while our dreams take us to the sky. Concrete keeps the bricks together, but which is the safer? It's time for lift off, it's time to fly. Follow your dreams until the day that you die. The collective dance of the grass as the wind blows. One body, one direction. Leaning together for the collective protection. It is nature that we must learn off, stop peering through your windows.
Genesis:
He bares his skin to the World, his ribs on show shall produce the girl. Choose your wife and keep her, for she shall have the garden in her hair, like you wouldn't believe. He then holds back his tears, his eyes acting as a dam. She is so beautiful to him, but he knows what is at stake. Everlasting life; but in the grass there lies a snake. He must not bite the bait, he must choose to grapple. Only then can he climb the tree, and learn the knowledge to save humanity.
Stay away from the flaming sword and the Almighty's love shall be your reward.
Cheer up my dear cherubims, you are beautiful in every way, you holy seraphim. We have not yet been expelled from paradise, though it's no lie it's time we started acting nice. Eastward is not the location, it's here, now, and it's 25,000 miles round. The tree of life, with its roots deep in the ground. A strong foundation of love will see you safe and sound. Drink from the freshwater river source, and be delivered into showing remorse. And so goes the genetics of genesis, and so goes the genetics of genesis.
Stay away from the flaming sword and the Almighty's love shall be your reward.
I is 1:
Nuclear energy is the enemy, I spend time writing songs but will I ever enter the NME? They spend time making bombs that destroy bodies chemically. You see this chemistry doesn't add up, it's become entropy and soon we'll all turn to dust, so we must, take a stand and take to the streets with a raised hand, of solidarity, because times have changed fast and we need some clarity, on what we're really doing, what it is that we're pursuing, because this system is wasteful and it really needs renewing, so let's start reviewing, this corporate culture that's got us suing, each other, show some filial piety and look after your Mother, and let's love another. Lift off the cover of hate and become a lover, everyone's your mate, every second counts, there's no time to stop, and wait.
It's Always There:
Strain your eyes to see things differently, like a sieve filtering out the chunks that aren't needed. The rainbow is always there, so long as the mentioned advice is heeded. The rays of the spectrum do not disappear, neither shall your repetitive thoughts of angst and fear, unless you train your eyes and soul to look at the innate goodness in everything. Marry the World and life, slip on the wedding ring, and not the banana skin of eyes so dim.
Italy:
As I roam around Rome, in this oxygen-inflated dome, I pause, stop, wonder: What a wonderful home. I comb through the details and I foam at the mouth, excited, ecstatic, I unleash a joyous groan As I ran through the streets of Milan, I began to develop a plan: Let's be a collective clan, be gone with hate and just do the best we can. I feel the heat in this high-pressured life, I'm frying in the pan, please let's cool each other down, let's turn on the fan. I don't want to run away from it all, I had the opportunity to go to Japan, with Suzanne, in a van, and get a tan, but I said: No thanks, I want to stay, I want to help man. Before going on to see my kin in Turin, I had to stop off in Naples to buy some staples, and upon my late arrival, my brother asked: Where have you bin? I explain to him the best that I could, but on the train I'd been drinking gin and that it was something that he'd have to take on the chin. At this, he started to grin, he's always been one to quickly forgive sin. That's the advantage of having a twin, they stick with you through thick and thin. He was just happy to see my face, for now the partying could begin. What a night! The loud, disco din had put me in a spin and sent shivers through my skin, whenever I come visit, I always end up in a win. My final stop was to see a merchant in Venice, although when I got there, I believe that I had mistook his premise. He was dressed in his red and black sport-wear, looking like Dennis the Menace and he'd made me travelled across the country for a lousy game of tennis! I was bitterly disappointed. Wouldn't you know it, I've ended this poem wittily!
