The Weekend Proposition

“No.” He pointed at his brother. “Do you see, this is exactly why I can’t sleep with her? It can’t be about sex, not ever.”

“Relax, bro. I’m teasing you. From what you told me, Coda is attracted to you too. There’s no reason why you can’t keep your little proposition separate from what happens between the sheets. You told her upfront this weekend wasn’t about sex. If you both want to change the terms, I say go for it.”

“You would.” He rolled his eyes. “When have you ever turned down sex?”

“I’ve never seen you so twisted over anyone. You want her.”

“That’s irrelevant.” It didn’t matter that he wanted her. He couldn’t have her. He had to accept that.

“I think you’re nuts if you don’t take a shot at her.”

“You’re crude. We’re not discussing this anymore.”

“Whatever.” He finished his water. “What would you like to discuss?”

“We have a few minutes before the call starts. I have an idea that may buy us some more time with the client. I want to run it by you before we take it to Vince and the others.”

  “Let me hear it.”

AFTER HER SHOWER, CODA slipped on her ridiculously expensive bra and matching thong. She thought about the picnic lunch earlier that afternoon. The conversation was light and fun. She’d learned more about the man she had become so taken with in a matter of days. Her stomach fluttered when she recalled the way he smiled at her or casually kissed her cheek. She even caught him staring at her a few times. Those fun moments would be over in two days time. She’d go back to being his cleaning woman and wouldn’t see him that often. The fairy tale would end unless she could find away to get him to give in.

They were attracted to one another. There was no denying it. They had come together under strange circumstances. She could admit that. After his drunken, late night confession she had convinced herself she would leave the weekend with no regrets. She thought back to their brief encounter the night before.

Spencer came into the suite a little after two AM. Coda had gone to the mini-refrigerator to get a bottle of water. She had been restless since leaving him downstairs in the lobby. She didn’t like how they had ended things down by the fireplace. She had felt embarrassed for throwing herself at him but now that she knew the truth she’d have to change her tactics.

“Whoa.” She tried to hold him up as he stumbled into the foyer. “Are you okay?”

“I am now.” He looked into her eyes. “I was just telling Tyler how incredible you are.”

She caught the wave of alcohol on his breath as she helped him over to the sofa. When they tumbled onto the couch he pulled her into his lap.

“Hello.” He nuzzled her neck. “I missed you.”

“Did you have fun with your brother?” Her body hummed with desire as his hands roamed her stomach and hips.

“We talked about you.” He ran his chin along her jaw, his stubble left a delicious burn as he went. She imaged what it would be like to feel his face between her legs.

  “I’m not that interesting.”

“Yes, you are.” He leaned his head against the back of the sofa. “You’re all I think about.”

“Well, you’ve already made the decision concerning us.” She shouldn’t have said anything but the wounds were still raw from a few hours ago. “You’ve made it real clear you don’t want to cross any lines.”

“Do you really think I meant any of that?” He closed his eyes. “I was being a gentleman.”

“What are you saying?” She took his face between her hands and forced him to look at her. He opened his eyes and shot her that devious crooked smirk. That one look changed everything. He wanted her too.

“I’m saying I never would have offered you that proposition if I knew I was going to want you so badly. Money complicates things.”

  “It doesn’t have to.”

“I want you,” he whispered. “If you only knew how much.” She could taste the liquor on his breath. “I’m sorry.”

  “For what?”

“Wanting more.” His eyes fluttered as he rested his head against the sofa again.

“Don’t apologize.” She loosened his tie. He opened his eyes for a second, leaning forward to assist her in taking off his jacket. “We can have more.”

“Promise?” His breathing slowed as he fell back onto the couch.

  “Promise.” She kissed his lips.

Coda waited for Spencer to turn off the faucet before she tapped on the door. She was about to make good on her promise.

“Can I come in?” she asked.

  “Sure.”

She opened the door and walked into the bathroom as he shaved. His towel hung low off his hips. The whole bathroom smelled of him. It made her insides quiver. When he caught a glimpse of her in the mirror he dropped his razor into the sink.

“You dropped something,” she said as she reached for her makeup bag. “This bathroom is big enough for us to share. You don’t mind, do you?”

“You’re practically naked.” He gawked at her silver bra and matching thong.

“If we were on the beach, you’d see me in my bikini.” She took in his damp skin, mesmerized by the drop of water that trickled down his chest. She watched as it disappeared into the towel just above his...

Stay in control. I need to seduce him.

“We’re not on the beach.” He picked up his razor and rinsed it off under the faucet. “If we were, there is no way in hell I’d allow you wear something like that.”

  “Really? You wouldn’t allow me?”

  “No.” He growled.

“Why not? Don’t you like the way I look?”

“That’s not the point.” He struggled not to look at her but she saw his gaze make contact with her body in the reflection of the mirror. “I’d have to kill anyone who looked at you.”

“You did pay for this underwear, so I figured you should at least get to see it.”

“That was very kind of you.” He concentrated on shaving.

She applied her makeup, hoping he’d make some kind of move to let her know he was interested in her. He’d admitted it the night before. She had to get him to act on it.

When he finished, he wiped his face with a warm washcloth but missed a spot under his left earlobe. She shimmied her way in between him and the counter. He looked down at her lips. She used that to her advantage as she slowly ran the tip of her tongue along them.

“Let me help you.” She reached up and swiped her thumb across his jaw and to the small spot of shaving cream he’d left behind. “You missed some.” She held out her thumb to show him before using his towel to wipe it off. She squeezed his rock hard thigh. “You’re so muscular.”

“What are you doing?” His words were controlled but clipped. “I thought we decided—”

“You decided.” She closed the space between them. “I bet your chest is as toned as your legs.” She trailed her fingers along his pecs and down to his stomach, tracing each of his well-defined six pack abs during her exploration. The lower she went, the harder his breathing became.

“Stop taunting me.” He lifted her up and sat her on the cool tiled counter, spreading her legs as he stepped in between them.

  “Or what?” she challenged him.

“You’ll find out how aggressive I can be.” He gripped her inner thighs. “But you probably like it rough.”

“I—” The feel of him sliding his fingers inside her panties halted her witty comeback. She moaned when he ran his thumb along her slit.

“You’re so wet.” He moved his freshly shaven jaw against her cheek as he pushed his fingers inside her. “Is this all for me?”

She rocked her hips, trying to get him to go deeper, but gasped when he stopped.

“We’re going to be late.” He rubbed his wet thumb along her bottom lip.

She tried to slow her erratic breathing as she stared into his eyes. Why did he stop?

  “I’m never late.” He lea
ned in and licked the moisture from her lip. “Now be a good girl and get dressed.”

He walked out of the room, leaving her hot and bothered. The look in his eyes stirred erotic feelings within her. His touch was filled with desire. He could have everything he wanted and more. All he had to do was give in.

  Chapter 7

After dinner, everyone circulated and mingled leaving Spencer and Coda at the table alone. He couldn’t get his mind off their bathroom interlude. He’d been aroused ever since her little stunt in the bathroom. What could she have been thinking? Did he really care? Now that they were alone, how could he be expected to make small talk when all he wanted to do was take her upstairs and do wicked things to her?

  I wonder if she’s a screamer.

  “Spencer?”

“Huh?” He looked up to find her staring at him. How long had he been lost in thought? “Sorry.”

“Are you thinking about the Bradford account?”

“No, I can honestly say that isn’t on my mind.”

“What’s got you so lost in thought? You seemed distracted through dinner. Is everything okay?”

No, I’m confused as hell and it’s your fault.

“My grandfather adores you.” That was lame, but he needed to get his mind off of that bra and thong she’d modeled for him. “That’s pretty impressive on your part. He’s not the easiest man to deal with.”

“I like him.” She truly meant it. She’d picked the old man’s brain on advertising trends through the years every chance she got. He loved the fact that she had written a paper on him and the agency. Her knowledge of him and his company went straight to his head. Spencer was impressed with her understanding of his business too. What were the odds he’d find a woman so compatible with him?

“You’ve managed to win over my family in two days.” He reached for her hand. When their skin connected he thought momentarily about how she would make the perfect girlfriend. Too bad he’d screwed that up when he paid her to be his date.

  “Just your family?”

  You have me too.

He had to stop this conversation before it got started. Pushing the plate of raspberry cheesecake in front of her he asked, “Dessert?”

  “Will you share with me?”

Picking up the fork, he broke off a piece of the cake. “I’m not in the mood for cheesecake.” He pressed the fork to her mouth. “Open up.”

“What are you in the mood for?” When she ran the tip of her tongue along her top lip, his cock hardened.

You, spread out on my bed.

“Hmm...” she softy moaned when she tasted the creamy cake.

“Good?” He shifted in his seat. How could he get through two more days without touching her the way he really wanted to?

“Heavenly.” She licked the fork clean. “I may have something for you.”

  “What would that be?”

She took his free hand and placed it in her lap, running it along her silky inner thigh. Spencer looked around the room but everyone seemed to be busy in their own conversations, drinking, or dancing. No one paid attention to what Coda was doing to him.

“I seem to have forgotten something.”

  “What’s that?”

She brought his hand higher, allowing him to brush her bare center.

“Fuck.” He closed his eyes as she moved his finger along her moist slit. “What are you doing?”

“Unleashing your aggressive side.” She let go of his hand. “I know you want me.”

“Is that really what you want?” He continued to move his finger over her mound. “Do you think you can handle me?”

She gripped the edge of her chair as she stiffened her legs.

He broke off some more of the cake and fed it to her. She licked the raspberry sauce off the piece before taking it from the fork.

The bulge in his pants bordered painful. He removed his hand from under her dress, trailing his fingers up her arm over her bare shoulder and to her mouth. “Open up.”

  She hesitated.

“Don’t disappoint me.” He ran his finger along the seam of her lips. “You set free this side of me. Don’t you want to see if you like it?”

She parted her lips enough for him to insert his finger into her mouth. She sucked the juices from where he’d been. “Mmm.” She hummed, causing the vibration to shoot straight to his balls. “I’m sure I’ll more than like it.”

“Enough.” He dropped the fork on the plate and stood. “I think we should take this to our room.” He extended his hand for her. “Don’t you agree?”

“I thought you’d never ask.” She took his hand and followed him out of the dining room. The walk up the staircase and down the hall seemed longer than usual. The anticipation of having her in his bed made the journey tedious.

Once they reached the end of the hall to the double doors, he reached into his pocket and retrieved the key. “You’re sure this is what you want to do?” He swiped the card and opened the door.

“Haven’t I given you enough signs?” She slipped out of her heels as she reached for his jacket. “Take what you want.”

“You’ve shattered my control. I have no resolve when it comes to you.” He backed her into the room and pinned her against the small foyer wall, kicking the door shut with his foot. “I want you. I have from the moment I saw you.”

“I’m here.” She pushed his jacket from his shoulders. “I’m yours.”

Wasting no time, he turned her around and lowered the zipper on her dress. Trailing his fingers down her spine, he stopped when he encountered the clasp of her bra.

“This will have to go.” He unhooked the enticing garment before continuing to unzip the rest of the dress. He pushed it from her shoulders and let it fall to her feet. Pressing his lips to the side of her neck, he said, “Step out of it.”

She did as he asked as he removed her bra.

  “You have the softest skin.”

Placing his palms on her hips, he nudged her in front of the foyer table, spreading her legs with his knee.

A soft moan escaped her lips when he moved his hands up the sides of her body and then over her breasts. His hands covered each of them completely. They were firm and full and so real. Nothing like the silicone babes he’d gotten used to. Everything about Coda was genuine.

He kissed the back of her neck, moving his lips down to kiss another heart tattoo on her right shoulder blade. “How many more?”

“Just one more.” She rested the back of her head on his chest. “Right here.” His cock twitched when she ran her fingers down her stomach and to her hip. He liked watching as she touched herself.

“You like hearts.” He squeezed her breasts as her gaze found his in the large, brass mirror over the foyer table.

  “I think they’re sexy.”

“I think you’re sexy.” He pressed his erection against her backside. “Feel what you’re doing to me?”

She lowered her fingers, running her thumb along her entrance. “Why don’t you feel what you’re doing to me?” Witnessing the way her hands caressed her body again drove him insane with lust.

“That little taste I had in the bathroom earlier this evening wasn’t nearly enough.” He twirled the pad of his fingers over her hardened nipples. She tensed under his hands as he continued to place hot, open-mouth kisses along her jaw. “You won’t deny me that, will you?”

She shook her head as she continued to stare at him in the mirror. “It’s just that no one has ever...” She stopped when he toyed with her nipples.

“No one has ever what?” He moved his hand down her stomach. “Tasted you?”

  She nodded.

  Am I seducing a virgin?

He stopped his exploration. She’d been so bold, the thought never occurred to him.

  “Have you had sex before?”

“Yes, but not often and never with someone like you.”

“Someone like me?” He turned her to face him. “Explain that.”

  “You’re
older and more experienced than anyone I’ve been with. I’m sure you could show me some new things.” She played with the hair at the nape of his neck. “I want you to show me.” She moved her lips to his ear and whispered, “Taste me.”

Her words shot straight to his dick and after a second of letting her request sink in, he dropped to his knees, leaving a path of kisses along her breasts and stomach as he went. Pressing his face against her mound, he inhaled her unique scent. He nudged her legs apart, gripping her inner thigh with one hand and resting the other on her backside.

She sucked in a breath as he flattened his tongue along her slick opening. Still not enough, never enough. When he threw her leg over his shoulder, she lost her balance. “Hold onto me,” he mumbled. “I have you.”

She gripped his shoulders as she rocked her hips into his face. The more she moved, the deeper his tongue dove. Her hot, wet folds satisfied his hunger. She tasted both sweet and tangy. Her juices flooded his mouth and flowed down his chin. The bulge in his pants begged for attention, but he wanted to bring her the release she needed.

“Spencer,” she cried out as she thrust her hips forward.

Wanting more, he moved his hand from her thigh and pushed his fingers inside her heat, finding her g-spot. As he licked and nipped, he stimulated her with his hand. She thrashed against him and muttered some expletives. As soon as he slowed his actions and swiped his tongue along her slit she trembled against his face. He held her still and indulged in her taste as she found her release.

Once she settled down from her climax, she opened her eyes and peered down at him. He gently removed her leg from his shoulder and steadied her before standing to meet her.

“That was...” She reached for the buttons of his shirt. “Really good.”

“Let’s take this to the bedroom.” He scooped her up and carried her down the hall. She guided his mouth to hers, kissing him hard and tasting where he’d been. He broke the kiss and placed her on the center of the bed.

“You have too many clothes on.” She got up on her knees and finished unbuttoning his shirt. She pushed it off his shoulders and let it fall to the floor.
