by Linny Lawless

Push introduced me to the other handsome man named Dane. He had the same physical build as Push and Nolan, with dark brown hair that was almost black, with crystal blue eyes. He clasped my hands in his. Dimples appeared when he smiled. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Nadia. You are stunning.”

I felt a blush come over my cheeks and my eyes pivoted back to Push. His look was dark as he glared at Dane, but then it was gone. Was he jealous of Dane?

Dane brought an elderly man forward. “I want you to meet Alik Barinov.”

Alik was a bit taller than Dane, and looked to be in his early seventies, with white hair. I felt a strange familiarity to him when I looked at his eyes. He smiled and took my hand, “Very honored to meet you, Nadia. You are even more beautiful than your mother was.”

I pulled my hand from his grasp, “You knew my mother?”

“Yes, I did, child.” Alik’s accent was thick. “And I knew your father. He was my son.”

I stumbled back, and my knees buckled. Push was there, wrapping his arm around me. “Sit down, Nadia.” He walked me around the desk and sat me back down into the blue velvet chair. He stood beside me as Alik sat in a chair directly across from me. He crossed one leg over the other and had an air of confidence, but his eyes looked sad.

That nagging unhealed scab that I had felt my whole life was about to be ripped open. I looked into the old man’s eyes. “Tell me everything you know about my parents.”

Alik nodded and began to tell me everything, “I am from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Felix Barinov was my son. I brought him here to America when his mother was killed. He was a boy who was becoming a man. I loved my son, I raised him to be a good man who was not tainted by the corruption and violence of evil powers back home in Russia. I was very proud of him. We lived in Maryland and he became a driver for powerful rich men in Washington, DC. That is when he was hired by Gabe Russo. Gabe was married to your mother, who was about the same age as you are now. Her name was Lana. She was from Ukraine and was sold like property to Gabe. She was forced to marry him at a young age.

She was much younger than Gabe and very unhappy living here. She had no family and she was alone. My son Felix fell in love with her. I strongly disapproved of this. Not because she was married, but because it would put their lives in danger. But how much influence can a father have when you see your son falling in love with a beautiful and kind woman? Felix was the only person in Lana’s lonely life who made her happy. And they were very careful, no one discovered their affair, except me.”

Alik reached into the side pocket of his suit jacket and pulled something out, “I still have the only photograph of them together.”

He rose from the chair and placed it on the desk. I snatched it up quickly and looked at it. Felix was a very handsome and tall man with hair the color of sand. He stood in front of a black 1990’s Cadillac, his arm around a young beautiful woman. My mother. It was like I was staring at a photograph of myself! I looked just like her! The same color hair, same nose, same smile. But I had Felix’s eyes. My vision blurred as tears fell, running down my cheeks as I focused on every detail of the only photograph I had ever seen of my parents.

Push leaned in, his arm wrapping around my shoulders. He spoke to me in a low, deep voice, “Your mother was breathtaking, Nadia.”

I squeezed my eyes shut, pressed the photo to my chest, and nodded to Alik. “Please go on…”

Alik’s eyes watered and he cleared his throat, “Felix told me Lana was with child, and that he was the father. They were so happy, but she was always filled with dread that Gabe would find out that you were not his child. Then you were born and so precious to them both. They cherished you and spoiled you as much as they could. There were times that it tore Felix up inside. He struggled with guilt that he could not be with you and your mother every second of every day, but he did the best that he could.”

Alik coughed, clearing his throat again, “You were such an adorable little baby, Nadia. I was so proud to be a grandfather. Lana dressed you up in pretty little dresses and tied little bows to your white hair. We all loved you so very much.”

I swallowed the lump in my dry throat, “I can remember feelings of comfort, and her voice. She would sing to me. What happened to my parents? How did they die?”

Alik’s brows knotted together, the sides of his eyes crinkled, “Gabe had some of his men follow Lana. That is how he discovered she was having an affair with Felix. He was furious, and he beat Lana severely. When a hateful and cruel man like Gabe finds out that a child born to his wife is not his, it’s humiliating to his ego. And he had a very powerful influence in this city. Felix and Lana disappeared one night, never to be seen or heard from again. Gabe had them both killed.”

“No!!” I sobbed and leapt off the velvet chair and fell onto my knees, pressing the photograph to my chest.

Push lifted me up and folded me into his solid arms. I cried uncontrollably, images of the monsters attacking me on the pool table, the fear of being killed, choking me. There was only silence from the men in the room as I cried and screamed.

Push’s soft voice soothed me as he whispered in my hair “Let go, Nadia. Release it. All of it. I’m here.”

I clung to him and breathed in, smelling his masculine scent mingled with cologne that reminded me of the beachy shores of Maui.

Alik stood, “I know very powerful men in Russia, and I am one of them. The family’s history is full of violence and vendettas: money, greed, murder, drugs, sex slave trade, even political corruption. Gabe had no knowledge of me so I left Washington and moved to New Jersey. I was close by, but far enough away to watch over you, Nadia. When I found out that Gabe had given you to Lucas, I was going to kill them both.”

Alik looked around the room. “I see now that you are safe, and Gabe is dead. I have lost my opportunity to fulfill my need for vengeance by killing him myself. I am here now to help my granddaughter take back all that she was destined to inherit. I will kill Lucas myself and all those who swore their loyalty to him.”

Nolan chuckled, “And how are you going to do that on your own, Alik?”

Alik’s eyes pivoted to Nolan, “It is my right to avenge my son’s death!” He turned back to me, “But, I will honor whatever you want from me, Nadia.”

I inhaled deeply and closed my eyes. Like a wound that festers and never heals, the pain would always be there in my heart, buried deep down inside. Killing Lucas and taking back all that was owed to me and my parents would not bring them back. I would never be whole.

I opened my eyes and looked at the old man, “What should I call you?”

“I’ll leave that up to you, child.”

“Grandfather. Is that okay with you?’

“Yes, Nadia. I would like that very much.”

  CHAPTER 16

  PUSH

I had sexually and physically pushed Nadia to her limits the night before Alik revealed the truth to us. She was emotionally drained afterwards, but as Alik and Dane were on their way back to New Jersey, Nadia insisted that Alik bring his things and move in to the Georgetown mansion with her. I thought it was too soon to offer this to him, but it was Nadia’s home and she needed people she trusted close to her.

A few days later I brought Nadia with me to pay a visit to Osamu’s home in Potomac, Maryland. The air in the house smelled the same as it always had, ever since I was a young man. The ornate lacquered furniture and black and red décor were the same too, bringing back nostalgic feelings of warmth and safety from the man who taught me everything I knew.

We were greeted at the front door by my maid, Kumiko. She came to the door crying and hugging us both. She made a remark that Nadia was the prettiest girlfriend I had ever brought home. She told us that we looked healthy and that we glowed from all the sun and fresh air from our trip to Maui.

I could see the relief in Osamu’s eyes as we met him in the living room. He bowed to Nadia, paying his respects and condolences for all the pain and loss she had s
uffered. He told her that he was honored to meet the woman who had captured the heart of a man like me. He said that we were both “…sharks, swimming together against an ocean current.”

Kumiko waited by door as we left, her purse hanging from her arm. As we said our goodbyes to Osamu, Kumiko told us she would come with us to Georgetown to be our maid. Nadia agreed and so within a week, we had both Alik and Kumiko living with us.

It was good to be back in Washington. I met with Shani at The Shadows and she clung to me, and cried. I still had feelings for her, but I told her that our relationship contract had ended. We were both a bit sad, but she understood from the beginning that this was a contract arrangement only, and that someday it would be over. My beautiful Shani was wise, and I was grateful for all that we had experienced together.

She looked up, her cheeks streaked with tears, “I know you have love for this woman, Nadia, but you will always be in my heart, Push. I wish you both happiness together.”

Shani started to gather a few of her things from her private bedroom, but I insisted she keep the room for herself. I told her that it would always be hers. She left the club after I kissed her goodbye.

Both Nolan and Dane, along with Alik, met me at the bar an hour later. We were closed off from the main area of the club. Dane had a lot of connections and did most of his business in Atlantic City. He partnered with us in extortion and other deeds that wealthy politicians liked to dip their dicks in to. Both Dane and Nolan enjoyed it and they were good at it, too. But when Dane walked into the bar, dressed in a well-tailored grey suit that perfectly fit his physique, I remembered the pain in my jaw from clenching it so tightly the first time he met Nadia. Jealousy and possessiveness were the strange and new stones that swam in pit of my stomach. I did not like the way Dane flashed his playboy smile at Nadia the other day.

Nolan had already started gathering background info on Nadia’s girlfriend, Christina. No one had seen her with Lucas since we left for Maui. With Alik’s help, I planned on using my valuable resources: people who worked for me in the FBI. I asked them to gather some intel and investigate what happened to Felix’s Cadillac that was in the photograph. It was the key to discovering what had happened to Nadia’s parents.

I looked at the three men in the room. “Nadia deserves to know everything about the death of her parents, and she deserves her vengeance. I made a promise that I would help her get both.”

As I walked the men back towards the entrance of the club, Mac pulled up to the curb in the Lincoln. He climbed out of the driver seat and opened the back door for Nadia.

She wore the grey fur coat I bought her. “Please don’t be angry with Mac. I insisted that he drive me here.”

I pulled her to me, as the men left. “I was just leaving, Nadia. Whatever it is you need to tell me could have waited until I returned.”

We walked into the club and she yanked her arm from my grasp. “No. I need to talk to you here.” That’s when I realized she was holding the coat closed tightly, covering everything up to her soft neck.

“Are you naked underneath that coat?”

She dropped her hands and the coat fell open, confirming what I had just asked her. My eyes roamed down to her beautiful tits and her perky pink nipples hardened. Then to her smooth, flat stomach down to the blond patch of pubic hair that covered her soft warm pussy. My cock instantly hardened.

Nadia’s eyes were fiery and full of desire, “I don’t want be kept in the dark, Push. I want to know everything you plan to do. I want to know every detail, every possible clue and any answers we can find about the death of my parents. And I want to know what your plans are for finding Lucas.”

She stepped up to me and I could smell her womanly scent, “I want to learn how to please you here in this place.”

I lifted her chin. “You want me to show you, little savage?”

  “Yes, please.” She breathed.

I stepped back, “Take off the coat.”

She pulled the coat from her shoulders slowly, letting it fall to the floor around her bare feet.

“You have a very beautiful body, Nadia.” I wrapped my hand around her pretty throat, “Will you let me do what I want to you?”

  “Yes.”

I squeezed tightly. Her lips parted and her brows lifted, the hungry desire lighting up her eyes. I released my grip. “Stay here.”

I quickly left and returned with a bundle of nylon rope. I took her hand and led her in to the main hall of the club. I stood her up underneath a low-hanging wooden beam, “I’m going to bind your wrists with this nylon rope and tie them up to this beam. Do you understand and consent to this, Nadia?”

She brought her wrists up and offered them to me, “I consent.”

I wrapped the rope around her wrists and began to tie the knots. “A professional in Shinjuku taught me how to safely tie knots. You should not lose any circulation, but if you do, you must tell me immediately and I will cut you free.”

Nadia’s breathing sped up, showing me her excitement as I tossed the rope over the beam. After a few minutes, her arms were raised above her head and secured. I stepped back, filling my eyes with the sight of her: bound, naked, and waiting for me to inflict both pain and pleasure.

I walked around her slowly, pulling out a switchblade from the back pocket of my suit pants and flicked it open. I moved up behind her, wrapping my hand around her throat again. I showed her the switchblade and stroked the blade gently down the side of her ribcage. She gasped. I brushed my lips against her ear and whispered. “You need a safe word before I begin. It’s a special word that you will say if you can no longer take the pain, or if you become afraid and want me to stop.”

  “Red. Like red light”

“That’s a good safe word, Nadia.” I caressed her nipples with the edge of the blade, feeling her pulse against my hand beating faster, harder.

I released her, stepping back. I closed the blade and shoved it back in my back pocket. I rolled up my shirts sleeves and unbuckled my leather belt, pulling it off. I gripped both ends and slapped it against Nadia’s creamy white ass.

She jumped. “I cannot help if I cry or scream, Push!”

“Please do, my beautiful savage. Your cries will make my cock even harder.”

I started easy on her at first, my belt lashing her ass, thighs, and her back. My cock was painfully hard and jolted every time she cried out. I ran my hand down her back and gave her ass a good squeeze as I struck her.

I dropped the belt and untied Nadia from the beam, turning her around to face me. Her cheeks were streaked with wet tears. “Now, kneel down and look up at me.”

She lowered herself onto her knees as I unzipped my suit pants. I pulled out my rigid, angry cock, “Open your mouth, Nadia. I want you to look up at me as you suck my cock.”

Her sweet lips parted open as she leaned her head back, her eyes wide looking up at me. I placed the head of my cock on her tongue. She wrapped her lips around it and sucked lightly. I was ready to blow cum all into her mouth just then but I shut my eyes for a moment to regain myself and stay in control.

I eased more of my length into her soft wet mouth. She started to move her head, sucking and licking me. I growled, pulling out of her mouth and I seized her up by the arms.

Lifting her up, I tossed her over my shoulder and carried her in to the room that I had given to Shani. I laid her on the bed and stripped off my clothes. I climbed on her and thrusted my whole length inside her warm, wet softness. Reaching down between us, I rubbed her swollen clit with the pad of my thumb as I gyrated my hips against hers. I covered my mouth over hers, both of us panting and grunting. Exploding, my cock squirted cum deep inside Nadia as she cried out her release, her soft wet walls pulsating around me.

Planting soft kisses down her neck, feeling our hearts pounding hard between us.

She sighed. “I never imagined it could feel this way.”

  “Me neither.”

  CHAPTER 17

  NADIA
/>   Poppa tells me that Mama is gone forever, that she will never come back. I sob and hiccup, clinging to Celia as she cradles me in her arms. Poppa walks out of my bedroom. The terrifying realization hits me at such a young age that I will never see my mother again.

I cry and look up at Celia through blurry eyes. “What happened to Mama?”

“She was in a car accident, Nadia. She is in heaven now.”

“Mama!” I shouted as my eyes flew open. I panted and my body was soaked with sweat. I was in bed next to Push.

His solid arm reached over and pulled me close to him. He planted soft kisses on my wet cheek. “You were dreaming, Nadi.”

  “My mother.”

“Yes, you cried out for her.”

I emptied the drawers from every room in the mansion, searching for clues to my parents’ deaths. Kumiko followed behind me, picking up the mess of scattered paper I left behind. I walked into the same bedroom I had slept in since I was a little girl. It was now occupied by Kumiko. I dropped to my knees beside the bed, and slid my arm in between the mattress.

Kumiko’s brows shot up when I pulled out the black leather glove. “It belonged to Push. I took it from his coat one wintry night when I was very young.” I looked up at her and smiled. “And I remember feeling bad that his hand would freeze when he left the house that night.”

She smiled, “You love that man a long time.”

  “Yes, I have.”

Pushed appeared in the doorway, and saw me kneeling on the floor beside the bed. Then he noticed the glove and grinned. “The glove.” He looks to Kumiko, “Nadia was a clever little thief.” He pulled out his buzzing phone from his suit pocket, “Yeah…”

I brought the glove up to my nose, closed my eyes and inhaled the scent of leather mingled with the faint hint of cologne he wore that night.

Push’s brows knitted when he hung up his phone. “That was Nolan. He has Christina.”
