“You were absolutely breathtaking.” We kissed with a soft tenderness that I’d expect from those who shared a deep love and as he pulled away, he grinned and said,

“I hope you call on me any time you need a study partner.” With a sly grin, I replied,

“I’m already thinking about extra credit.”

  Story Thirty-Three

  Chapter One

"You're an asshole, you know that?"

"What?" I looked up from my desk and at Kayla who was leaning on the doorframe.

"That's what Joey told me to call you before he left the office a while ago." She walked towards me then threw a gray folder onto my desk. "Looks like you need to hire a new assistant."

I opened the folder and saw the resignation letter with Joey's name signed at the bottom.

I scoffed and threw the folder in the trash before I looked back at my laptop. "Just look for someone else with better credentials."

"That's the problem. Why do I have to keep finding different people every time you break a man's, heart."

"I have no idea what you mean."

"You know exactly what I mean, Risa. This is the fifth time someone has quit due to your little office flings. How about you stop dating your coworkers, boss." She said the last word sarcastically but it wasn't an insult because I was the boss. The boss of a top running magazine company after graduating from college and working as a journalist for six years. My work has really paid off, I thought as I looked around at my private office with a great view. Kayla was here because she was in the same field as me, so when I got the chance, I hired her on the spot.

"I don't understand why you can't be my only assistant, Kayla?"

"Are you serious? You want me to do all this work by myself?" She pointed to herself then rolled her eye's. "Just stop dating your employee's and- wait actually, stop being an asshole to the people you date."

"I can't promise that." I clicked the enter button on my laptop, sending the email before closing it. "Just find someone else for me, okay?"

"Yeh, yeh." Kayla turned around flipping her hair over her right shoulder before closing the door behind her.

Stop having romances in the office, huh? That's absolutely impossible. I can't help it if I'm attractive and everyone wants me. Wait... I guess saying that does make me sound like an asshole.

"Have you read the profile of the man I hired?"

"No, not at all. You know I trust your judgment more than anyone else."

When Kayla didn't answer, I cautiously looked up. "What?"

"I'm so glad that you trust me so much, but I'm kind of scared to let you know who it is."

  "What do you mean?"

Kayla didn't make eye contact with me, prompting me to become angry. "Who the hell did you hire, Kayla?"

"He'll come by tomorrow to submit his profile to you. I wish you the best of luck." Kayla left the room quickly after that, leaving me in my haggard thoughts. Who the fuck did she hire?

I opened my laptop and quickly went to my email. There, I saw Kayla's message labeled with the words new employee. I took a deep breath before clicking on the email and praying that the name I saw next, was a dream.

'Zack Johnson.' Yes, that's exactly what the resume said. He graduated from the University of New York with a master's degree in journalism. I could have sworn he wanted to become a doctor like his father. When the hell did he change his plan? Well, it's not like I kept up with his choices after he humiliated me nor did I think about him after I graduated. He was just another piece of trash that I left behind.

  Chapter 2

Someone knocked on the door and distracted me from my typing.

"Come in," I said, not really paying attention to who was at the door. I suspected it would be Kayla again, but the person's deep voice told me otherwise.

"Excuse me, Risa, or should I say Ms. More."

I quickly looked up from my laptop and almost fell off the chair at who I saw.

Zack. The man who I never thought I'd see again, was standing right here in front of me. And yes, he was fine; extremely handsome, unlike the profile picture I saw yesterday. His jaw line was more pronounced as it outlined his thick neck and wide shoulders. His eyelashes looked longer as they passed, over his light brown eyes. His long hazel curls that used to touch his shoulder, were now just past his ears. In hindsight, he looked completely different and yet similar to his past self. Granted, it was six years ago, but still, this sight was enough to stir my insides. He was ultimately sexy and I couldn't help but stare.

  "...Ms. More?"

My eyes fluttered before I answered, "Its been a long time, Zack." I said while glancing back at my laptop. It's best to not look at him.

"Yeh, it has. Well, Kayla told me to come here and hand you this." His hand came into view as he placed a brown folder on the table. "It's my profile. Though I'm sure you already have it online."

"You're correct," I said still not looking up.

  "Yeh...w-well can I say something?"

I stopped typing and glanced up at him running his hands through his hair. "What?"

  "It's just- I didn't expect you to be this...hot.

I slammed my hand on the desk and stood up. I looked him directly in the eye and was happy to see him flinch back. "Listen here, Zack. I'm not like I used to be. That little gullible girl is gone and you will never see her again so, don't test my patience." After I sighed, I slowly sat down and tapped my fingers on the desk. "And besides, I've just made a deal with myself to not date my employee's, meaning no matter how hot you may think I am, you will have no luck getting with me. Do I make myself clear, Zack?"

Zack stopped smiling and nodded solemnly. Yes, that should be enough for him to know his place. I won't be fooled by him again.

With that said, the next few months went by smoothly. Well...except for the fact that my attractions for Zack have grown immensely, mostly because of his constant flirting. I'm not the only one either. He was very popular amongst my workers and extremely reliable. I never have to ask him to redo anything because it's already perfect. I thought this, as I scanned over another article he just turned in.

"So, how is it?" Zack said as he sat down comfortably in the chair in front of my desk. "I tried my best to make it similar to our rival's magazine's best seller. I don't think they will be able to notice it though, haha!" He leaned close enough to where I could smell his cologne. "I heard that their company pays other people to do their work for them. Isn't that just bullshit?"

Thank God Kayla walked in before I could tell him off for being incompetent.

  "Boss?"

  "What is it?"

"Are you going to journalism ball this weekend? You know that it's crucial to attend?"

I sighed and lifted my head, "I know that."

"Oh, well do you already have a date?"

"... Do I really need one?"

"If you want those false rumors about you to stop, you need to at least show that you can be in a relationship for more than one day."

"Haha! Fuck the person who bashed me. He was just angry that he couldn't handle me." Even though I wasn't looking at Kayla, I knew she was rolling her eye's.

"Well, you need to find someone because I'm not calling the pretend boyfriend service... again. Just bring someone, okay?" Kayla said before slamming the door behind her.

"Haha! I didn't even know they still had those balls."

"Yes, they do and you're going to go with me."

  "Wait, what?"

"Of course, I'll pay you extra and give you a couple of days off. You do deserve that much."

  "Are you sure?"

I glanced up and caught something like a glint of hope in his eyes before it disappeared all too soon.

  "Yes, I'm sure."

"Then I'll be there, just tell me the time and place?"

  Chapter 3

The ballroom was decorated with huge chandeliers filled with white and blue crystals. It was the same venue from two years ago but the spac
e was decorated differently. Once I think about it, the last ball was a masquerade party so the decorations made the room feel a little crowded. Unlike now, the space in here was pretty dense and open. I kind of disliked it. In my personal opinion, I would rather be in a crowded room filled with tons of people because everyone's attention is elsewhere instead of being solely focused on you.

Unfortunately, that's not the type of party going on right now. Especially when it was an all-white party. Good thing I didn't miss the memo and read the invitation twice.

"Ms. More."I turned around to see one of my companies rivals drinking a glass of red wine.

"Mr. Jones, how nice it is to see you." I forced my lips into a smile and batted my eyelashes warily. If I remember correctly, this old man was a fool for beautiful women.

"You look beautiful this evening; I almost didn't recognize you."

"Thank you. You look good as well."

"Yes, well, a beautiful thing like you surely has a date waiting for you somewhere? Or did you dump someone else again?"

Ha! And they call me the asshole.

"Haha, is that what they say about me? I'm sorry, but I'm not one to listen to useless rumors especially when I need to be more worried about my weight." I lifted my eyes from Mr. Jones' bulging stomach and smirked. His shoulders stiffened and before he could counter, I felt an arm go around my waist.

  "Sorry for the wait."

I turned my head to glance up at Zack.

"Yes, you're very late." I looked back at Mr. Jones. "Sorry for the inconvenience, but my date and I would like to dance," I said then pulled Zack to the dance floor where many couples were already swaying about.

"I didn't know you knew how to dance?"

"Of course I can. It's not an uncommon thing."

"Yeh, but it still surprising and," Zack started to whisper, "very sexy."

"Mm..." I smirked as we continued to sway to the sound of the music. I felt his strong hands pulls my hips closer as if I wasn't already close enough.

"How tight are you going to hold my hips?"

"I want everyone to know you're mine."

"Sorry, but I'm nobody's; especially not yours."

Zack laughed softly and moved his face closer to my ear. I shivered when he spoke with a whisper and blew breath in my ear.

"Actually, I'm just trying to cover up my boner. I couldn't help getting one with the way your sexy hips were swinging in that revealing dress." He gave my ass a little squeeze before pulling away and spinning me around with one hand. A very cliche attempt to woo me, but I'm not going to lie and say that I'm not flattered. Zack was extremely cunning; he always had been and we would have been great together if only I wasn't a tool for him to use as he pleased. Still, I couldn't hold back the feelings in my heart any longer.

....I was starting to fall for him again.

"You're disgusting," I said with a slight smile on my face.

"Haha! I was just kidding. But tell me, what was that about? Did he say something to set you off?" Zack spoke as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"It's nothing you need to worry about; it's just petty rumors." I lifted my arms to touch his shoulders. "I'm sure you've heard it all before."

"Actually, I'm not sure I have?" He smirked mischievously and I almost smiled back.

"I'm sure you have. You know, how I'm an asshole and a whore."

We swayed back and forth for a while, basking in the heavy music. The tone set a very intimate feeling in the air and I cursed myself for believing that Zack had matured and that he was a good man.

"I don't listen to the words that insult you." He leaned in closer, " It makes me angry just knowing that those other men had a chance to touch you."

"It's not your choice whether they do or not." I panted softly, feeling his hot breath ghosting over my skin.

"Once I took your virginity, you were always mine."

Ah, shit! Why was what he said a complete turn on for me?

The music stopped and everyone clapped for the live band. I reluctantly let go of Zack and walked off the socialize with the masses. The other magazine companies were relentless as they spoke about the rumors that defiled my standing.

"So it's true that you have never had a real relationship?"

"Oh, well I heard that you're a heartbreaker?"

"And I heard that you two were seen together at a hotel about a month ago, but like everything you mentioned about me...it's true." The men looked at one another before walking away feeling defeated.

  "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, let's just go to the office. I have a few things I need to finish up."

"Won't Kayla be mad that you left the party early? Won't this ruin your reputation?"

"Zack," I paused and looked into his eyes, "My reputation is already ruined and it's not going to change anytime soon. I knew I shouldn't have come here so leaving early doesn't matter to me. Now, are you coming with me or not?"

  "... Yeh, sure."

Zack stopped a taxi and we rode to the office.

We walked down the dimly lighted hallways in a comfortable silence. I had not expected this from either of us, but I kind of liked it. It made me think back to our college days right after having a long night of sex, we would lay in each other's arms in complete silence. At that time, I was sure Zack would make me his girlfriend. I mean, we got along so well together, so when he wanted me to pretend to be his lover, I...I--"

"What do you want me to help you with, Ms. More."

I had just opened the door to my office when Zack suddenly broke the silence. "You can call me Risa but only when we're alone."

"Oh, thank God. It sounded so weird to call you Ms. More all the time."

"I bet it did," I answered quietly. I then leaned over my desk to grab a couple of papers, filled with submitted articles for this month's magazine. "We need to get these edited before we can scan them into photoshop."

"Seems easy enough...Hey, Risa can I ask you something?"

  "Mmhm."

"Tell me why it didn't work out for us in college. I never knew why you stopped talking to me?"

I slowly set down the papers and turned around. Was he being serious? Did he really not know?

"Well, if you must know, you asked me to pretend to be your girlfriend? How do you think that made me feel?"

"We were friends with benefits, I honestly didn't.... care-- Nevermind, I did care. I just didn't think it was that big of a deal."

I laughed, "Yeh, I guess it wasn't. I guess I was just being too emotional and got my hopes up for nothing."

"Risa, you know that's not what I meant."

"Then what are you trying to say?" Zack stepped forward and grabbed my hands.

"I was an idiot back in the day, for not even considering your feelings. And believe me when I say that I really did like you...Just like I do, right now."

"Ha! Please. I would never believe in something so stupid--"

Suddenly, my back was against the wall and soft lips were on mine. "Mhn!" I tried to push against his chest but he wouldn't budge. "S-stop," I said against his lips with no prevail because I was being drawn in. It felt so nice being handled in such a lustful manner, that I didn't even know how to react. So I just let him kiss me. I let him push asides the anger I had for him and let his lips pull me in. During my six years of being a typical asshole and not taking relationships seriously, I would have never considered this situation possible. Ever. And yet, here I am; kissing the person who made me this way.

Our lips parted slightly and we panted into each other's mouths.

Zack put his forehead to mine and smiled. "I have to say that I've missed the taste of your lips."

I rolled my eyes before kissing him again- with more force. We moaned into each other's mouths and before I knew it, I was straddling Zack's hips in my office chair.

"Haha! So we're doing it in your office, Ms. More?"

"Mm." I hummed into his mouth. "I can't wait any longer." I uttered while remov
ing his shirt. I removed the buttons easily and slid the shirt off of his shoulders. Then I began to trace his muscle lines all the way down his chest until my hands were on his bulge. "I want you to fuck me right now."

"Woah, woah, can't we get to know each other first? I mean to go on a date or something like that?" Zack spoke sarcastically but it didn't faze me. I slowly slid off his legs and onto my knees.

"Shut up and get hard already," I said while unzipping his pants. Thankfully, when I pulled his cock out, he was already half hard which meant we'll fuck sooner than later. Well, after I worked him with my mouth.

So, I began licking his dick with a passion that I forgot I had.

"Ah! Shit! You're still the best at giving head."

"I know," I said before licking the top of his hard cock. I brought my right hand up to pump at the base of his dick as I took it all in. Yes, just like I expected, his dick was amazing. It filled the hole of my mouth but left enough room for me to move my tongue about. That's why I had Zack moaning like crazy when I professionally ravished his dick. Back and forth, back and forth, my head went as I pumped his dick in my mouth.

"Uh!" He groaned before I pulled back, allowing a string of pre-cum to fall on my chin. Zack looked down at me and grabbed my jaw. "I swear when I say that you look beautiful with my cum on your mouth."

I licked my lips seductively and continued to pump his cock with my right hand.

"I bet I'd look even more beautiful if your dick was inside me?"

"Haha, and you said I was disgusting." I ignored his taunts and sensually removed my shirt.

"Damn. It's been a while since I've seen your big tits." Zack instantly grabbed them after yanked off my bra.

  "Be gentle with them, okay?"

"Yeh, right." His tongue lapped the tip my left nipple as I held onto his shoulders. His tongue felt so damn good. As a matter of fact, he was always amazing at making me wet by just licking my nipples. The way his hot breath moved along with the soft licking sounds, always had me on the edge. I used to beg him to lick and touch my breast while he roughly thrust inside me and that's exactly what I'll do today.
