When I look at Rory, he is narrowing his eyes at Adley. He notices me watching and quickly hides his reaction.

Then the music changes, and all is forgotten as I shift my attention, and I feel like my chest grows tight.

When Sutton steps into view, a long flowing dress at the bottom and the top hugging her body perfectly, I feel my knees grow weak. I am not an emotional man; I’ve never been one to express my feelings openly. But at this moment, seeing Sutton looking back at me, knowing that an hour from now, she will be my wife, it hits me. My vision instantly clouds with unshed tears, and the burning sensation fills my chest.

This is it; this is the moment when my life begins.

“You may now kiss your bride,” and Brantley wastes no time before stepping in close and cupping my face in his hands.

“I love you so damn much,” he whispers before he presses his lips to mine. “You are my everything.” My lips tremble against his. “I’m gonna make you so happy, Sutton,” there is so much conviction in his words.

I have no doubt in my mind that he will; he’s already given me so much happiness.

Hand in hand, we turn to face our guests, and they are all standing and clapping. I search out my parents, and the pride I see in their eyes feels as though it completes the moment.

When we exit the church and crawl into the awaiting limo, Brantley turns to me and pulls my body close to his side. Then, covering my mouth with his, he kisses me deeper, leaving me breathless. “Now that right there is how I wanted to kiss you.”

I nod because words have escaped my mind. I’m floating, or so it feels.

“Wanna skip this reception and sneak off early?” I clear the haze and stare at him, blinking a few times. “Start the honeymoon now,” Brant wags his brows making me laugh. “What you wearing under this dress?” He pretends to lean in as if trying to look down the front. “Or not wearing?”

“You’ll have to wait and see.”

“That hardly seems fair,” and it does. What he doesn’t know is I’m suffering just as much as he is, if not more.

“I promise it’ll be worth the wait.”

“I know it will,” and he kisses me once again, only this time he doesn’t stop until we are pulling up in front of the reception hall and the door to the limo is being pulled open. Rory and Bennett are staring at us with knowing smiles, and my face immediately feels warm.

“Come on, lovebirds, your guests are waiting.”

They each hold out their hands and help me from the limo as Brantley climbs out behind. I feel him press his lips to my shoulder as he places his hands on my hips from behind. “You ready for this, Mrs. O’Shay?”

I close my eyes and take in a slow, calming breath. Mrs. Brantley O’Shay, I still can’t believe it.

“Yes, I’m ready.” I am more than ready.

ARC Team, you know who you are. Thank you all so very much for taking this journey with me. Your feedback and encouraging words along the way made this story mean so much.

To my husband and children, thank you for being the best part of my days. For tolerating me when I get lost in the world of fiction and understanding that sometimes dinner may be a little late. Jayden and Tayler, no matter how many books I write, you two will always be my best creations.

My readers, I am always so humbled by your support. Those random messages I received after you read my books, whether it be something big or small, I truly love them. Hearing what you think, in my eyes, is one of the greatest things about releasing a new book. I am never too busy for you.

  About the Author

ALITTLE ABOUT ME, LET’S see where to start.

I love HEA stories, as long as they come packing a little heat. I need some excitement, some angst, and moments that make me fan my face, those are always good too. I am an Illinois girl, born and raised. Simple and true, it honestly doesn’t take much to make me happy. I love the little things, they truly mean the most. I have two children who truly are my very best friends. Their faces never fail to put a smile on my face. I have been married to my husband for over twenty years, and even though at times I want to beat him with a stick, I would never change the years we have had. We have learned and fallen, only to pick each other up, dust off the aches, and help each other make it right.

I am one of those authors that adore my fans. I love to hear from you. After all, it is because of each one of you that I continue to write. I look forward to you feedback.

Be sure to follow me to stay up-to-date on all my upcoming releases.
