Well, well, well. That was quite a ride, don’t you think? I don’t know about you, but I had a really good time writing this story. Well, I hope you had a good time. You made it all the way to the author’s notes, so I’m assuming you liked it.

If you did like it, please leave a review. They mean the world to me. I read each and every one of them, even the bad ones. Though I like the positive ones a bit more. ☺

The idea for this series came to me one day while I was driving home from the grocery store. I got a little too close to another car and had one of those “oh crap” moments where I wondered what would have happened if I’d hit them. That got me thinking about mortality, which led to thinking about immortality, and how it must suck if you live forever but you don’t really want to.

Then I had an idea for an immortal warrior that wanted to go out in a blaze of glory, but no matter how dangerous the mission was that he went on, he always came out unscathed. His only real gift aside from long life would be blind, stupid luck that always pulled him from the brink. Thus, Damian was born.

Mei came next – the dutiful bartender friend he’d mope to whenever a mission didn’t go south. The fact that she was a dragon was icing on the cake. And truth be told, I’ve always loved dragons anyway, so including one in the story was an easy choice to make. The rest of the cast of Mei’s bar? They all piled in later, but I love them all.

Don’t worry, you’ll see more from the denizens of Mei’s bar in future novels. Most of them have their own moment in the starlight in the coming books. So if you want to see more fun at Mei’s, rest assured, there’s plenty to be had.

Oh, and sadly there is no Mei’s in real life. Nor is there a restaurant called Pho ‘Que. It’s all made up. I wish it were real, though. Fusion cuisine is all the rage these days.

On another note, one thing I get asked a lot – what’s my favorite scene or character? I know it’s lame to say every character and scene in the book is my favorite (they are), so I won’t. But if I had to pick a favorite scene, it’s the forgotten passport scene. That scene portrays Damian’s character in the exact way I picture him in my head – a tad forgetful and irresponsible, but always with a plan B in the back of his head. He’s imminently resourceful. Has to be, since he’s dead broke most of the time. It’s just perfect.

What about you? What’s your favorite scene? Or your favorite character? Drop me a line any time day or night, and we can chat about it. I love hearing from my fans. I recently got a fan letter where the girl told me her cats had favorite characters, too. It included pics of the cats pawing at her kindle.

Let me tell you, that made my day. So if you want to share your excitement with me, by all means do it! I respond to every single fan letter. I really do live (and write) for all of you. The money’s a nice bonus, but it’s making people happy with my stories that I truly enjoy.

Anyway, if you liked this book, please leave a review. It means the world to me. Just ask my wife, my kids, or any of my friends. I rave about every single one. They’re each like a little present. A gift of gratitude for me to cherish.

Plus, a bunch of good reviews might just help that next book come out that much faster. (Maybe. It certainly wouldn’t hurt anything lol.)

Loved the book a lot? Give me a follow on social media, too at: www.facebook.com/authorpeterglenn OR join my mailing list: www.peterjglenn.com/email. Better yet, do both! The more the merrier! I also have giveaways (like signed copies of my books) and exclusive behind the scenes info for my mailing list subscribers, so join up!

I’d love to get a shout out from you in either spot and hear about what you’d like to see in an upcoming novel or short story. After all, I’ve got plenty of ideas running through my head for other adventures.

Who knows? Maybe I’ll even name a future character after you (if you want. I’d never do it without permission). I actually had someone give me permission recently and you’ll see that character in Immortality Curse 3! (Thank you, Charmaine.) It could happen to you, too. Just ask!

Thank you again for joining me on this journey and sticking with it until the very end, and I do hope you’ll join with me again in future books.

  Auf Wiedersehen.
