A note about length:
Unfortunately, this duet didn’t split evenly in length :/ It made sense for the story to end this book here, but that means this book is a little on the short side, while the second book is a little on the long side. I hope you enjoyed this installment enough to check out the next book where Maddoc and Ana have their many moments of reckoning and find their HEA.

Author Note
This story began as a silly question from my dad. Could I write a quick story inspired by a fairytale in a short time? The answer is a resounding NO! lol I tried, but this story was not quick, and it’s not short, since it needed to span two books. It was also inspired by a folk tale (Robin Hood), not a fairytale, so basically, a fail all around, haha! That said, I really loved building this world and exploring the massive differences in personality and circumstances of Maddoc and Ana, and the power of status. The feel of this world is so different from Myth or Empire, and it was exciting figuring out how this disgraceful outlaw went about getting his princess.
I must say, I really missed writing in the male POV for this book :( Thankfully, the next book is more evenly balanced, and I know I’m going to have fun with Maddoc’s rage and obsession. lol
If I didn’t have another series I need to get back to, I would have spent some time creating some of the “factual retellings” of Alpha and Omega stories Ana found in the library, complete with steamy diary entries and everything lol. But I don’t have time. There are two other Omegas in this world, as mentioned, and one of them appears in the next book. So I might return to this world at a later time, and if I do, I’ll make the retellings as an extra bonus for my Halos. Of course, you can read the full unabridged version of The Lox Empire here. :)
