Standing up, Taylor walked across the room, keeping the baby to her breast. She went to her bureau and opened a drawer, pulling out a letter she’d written and addressed to her parents. “Would you mail this when you get home? I’d give you a stamp, but I’m afraid I just can’t.”

Dr. Lachele laughed. “No stamp necessary. I’ll even deliver it myself if you need me to.”

“Nah. My parents are chill. Just drop it in the mail to them, and they’ll be happy campers.”

“I did bring you something . . .” Dr. Lachele said, gesturing to a huge trunk on the floor at the foot of Taylor and Harry’s bed. “I think you’ll like what you find inside it.”

Taylor took her daughter into the nursery and laid her in her cradle beside her sister. Then she walked into her bedchamber and hugged Dr. Lachele. “It’s been forever since I had a boobie bump and not a hug or an embrace.”

Dr. Lachele laughed. “It’s about time you had a proper one, then, isn’t it?”

“I guess it is.” Taylor knelt down to open the trunk, finding it completely full of Dove milk chocolates. She laughed softly. “This will last me for a little while. I wish I had the chance to have more delivered, but I won’t see you again after today, will I?”

“No, you won’t. This is it.”

“Thank you so much for coming to check on me but even more for sending me here, where I found love. I couldn’t be happier.”

“Glad to hear it. Okay, girl. One more boobie bump for the road!” Dr. Lachele embraced Taylor. “Stay happy.”

“I will.” Taylor was brushing a tear away when Harry hurried into their chamber.

“Where did that trunk come from?”

“Dr. Lachele came to see me.”

Harry had a panicked look on his face. “You’re not going back, are you?”

Taylor laughed, walking into his arms. “Why would I go back to the twenty-first century when everyone I love is right here? No, I’m staying here with my family. The people I will always love.”
